Last night was awesome! (well that's two days ago!) We saw Penshoppe's newest endorser Sean O' Pry finally on the runway. This happened in the Function Room 4 of SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia in Pasay City. In attendance were Penshoppe's CEO Bernie Liu, their VP Alice Liu, their sons, fashionistas, celebrities and Sean O'Pry's fans. Jeff Bascon, Penshoppe's Brand Director said a few words before the start of the show. This year has been great for them and the pieces we were about to see he said is part of the Penshoppe Denim Lab collection and added that it was going to be special with Sean O'Pry on the helm. This guy is very humble, he took time to shake our hands one by one during the press conference (as seen on my Penshoppe post here) and I get why he's still adored by many even after his great stint in the Taylor Swift and Madonna video. I wasn't just the one excited because I could hear the screaming fans on this three runway platform they prepared for us. Shall we start?
It was dark and even from afar, people could already see Sean O'Pry in the center of the runway.
When the lights came on, Sean here wore denim shorts, gray striped sweater with green sleeves.
There were several pieces that I liked. Most of them were tattered, into shorts, printed shirts (used pastel colors) to signify something colorful, nothing wrong with that. Then, Sean O'Pry appeared again in a different outfit this time.
Another timeless piece is this Camou shirt and airman jacket which you can both purchase next season in Penshoppe. His jeans were a little baggy in this bit, but still looks good on him. Style wise, it's perfect!
Their tones as you may see may come off as cold. The browns, overwhelming black, the blues, the dark greens, all complement each other and may pass off as part of a holiday collection. If it's cold and breezy outside, much that it would fall on the months of October to January, these pieces would definitely have a place in your closet.
I love the shirt prints and the different textiles they use here. It just breaks the norm, no more boring shirts when you get it from Penshoppe. It's not overboard either that would make it trying hard to be hip. They have joggers too so if you're into that lately, there's more coming from this brand.
There are a couple of them also in layers, but we've noticed some really good printed long sleeved shirts that would be perfect for casual wear. Still dressed up, but relaxed, something like men would want to have on a date. Up next is the piece de resistance! Here's Sean O'Pry showing off his guns, women shrieking on this bit.
He's got those little dimples on his biceps that you ladies like.
Then again, those eyes, those eyes! (shot ruined by iPhone eh!)
This is the shirt I SUPER DUPER LOVED THE MOST! It's a little statement that would irk people around me but it's perfect! I just got to have it!
They're also gearing towards different textures in jeans now. Tattered, acid washed, patched, they've done it all just to please you guys. Then Sean O'Pry did his thing also with jackets that are made of the same material as the jeans, it just looks so good on him. This is towards the end of the show. Oh before that, I'll let you watch this video of the FINALE!
He came out smiling a bit with this acid washed jacket and tattered jeans.
You can feel it, he exudes confidence.
You'll feel a little sorry for yourself why you didn't have those eyes.
This was the part where he was almost at the end of the runway. He taught us to look at our eyebrows more.
Giving sweet kisses to everyone who came and waved at them in the front.
Going back to the center of the stage and be with the other models for the last hurrah!
It was an awesome evening, people didn't want it to end!
He waved good bye to everyone but as he said in the press conference, he wants to go back. He also thanked all his adoring fans during the press conference. He waved goodbye again before running to the back stage.
There you go! I hope you get to see what I've seen in the Penshoppe Denim Lab Fashion Show. Even if you were not there, I hope you got to feel how it was seeing him for the first time. He's a very good man, he's only 25 and we know he's going places!
Thank you so much to Penshoppe for having us cover Sean O'Pry and his visit to Manila, the Philippines. Hope to be there next time to see more of your NEXT international endorsers.
