7-Eleven Holds Tour in Central Luzon

Monday, April 08, 2019

I am so happy this happened, but they didn’t invite me ah!

Anyway, 7-Eleven just concluded their 7-Eleven Tour 2019 last April 7 at Clark Global City in Pampanga. The route took them all to the jungles of Subic, to the busy Clark roads, then Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and back. It was arduous but these cyclists aged 16-75 participated in 48 or 106 KM courses which took their turns at Floridablanca Pampanga and Tipo Zambales respectively.

Over 3,000 professional and recreational cyclists joined one of the largest bike events of the year, the 7-Eleven Tour 2019 which took place last April 7. The event saw elite and weekend cyclists bike from Clark Global City passing through Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), then to Subic and back. In 2 hours and 29 minutes, Mark John Galedo won the title with Michael Jan Farre and Rench Michael Bondoc following suit. He won the Php 20,000 grand prize.

7-Eleven came back from a 7 year hiatus and this event was made possible with their partners NLEX, SCTEX and Clark Global City. Their CEO Jose Victor Paterno says “We believe this tour would be a great venue for professional and also to discover the up and coming generation of cyclists in the Philippines. We hope they found a glimpse of the scenic beauty of Central Luzon and perhaps be inspired to bring honor and pride for our country.”

If you would want to know more about the event please visit Facebook.com/tour11 or Tour11.com. Photos from the tour are there too.

Next year, I should join.

I missed the party, and I regret it. A lot of them got to watch #UniteTheLeague ahead of everyone else and not me, sad life! But fret not fellow Justice League fans because the party is just about to start. You see, you too can be the next Justice League Spinner Hero if you LOVE 7-Eleven stores and merchandise in the Philippines. Our lovely friends from 7-Eleven also tapped Liui Aquino, Eunice Jorge, Paolo Valenciano and Saab Magalona to make the activities fun on social media by whipping up their own tricks, performances using their Limited Edition Justice League spinners on their accounts in Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can use the hashtags #TwirlTrioLiui, #WhirlwindEunice, #SpinStancePaolo and #SomersaultSaab and if they're impressed, you can be dubbed as the next superhero and nobody can stop you if that happens! 7-11 Opens 2000th Store in the Philippines

Wednesday, March 08, 2017

Jose Paterno says "We have been doing this since 1984, I think our 1500th store is in Cagayan De Oro and some in Visays because we are expanding in the other islands and we want to concentrate back here and so we're coming back where we started. We're growing fastest in Mindanao, but the habits of the market evolved, and we have expanded our food servings like gourmet Filipino food and other things at CBD's and we have entered the digital age making Cliqq rewards exchanged points with products. In an emerging market we aim to be the physical gateway allowing banks to deputize in broadening financial aspects, quicker and more efficiently. There are ecommerce opportunities, expanding shelf space virtually. We are growing more this year. We now have 40 stores with that decor patterned with the ones in Taiwan. We are the ones who plead no contest to sari sari stores and we only want to sell those that are not sold on these stores to get people. We are expanding in the north as far as Ilocos, and down south in Naga (talking about Luzon) and we have to make sure to support them before we do open. It becomes viable now for testing grounds, for the market, so they put up plants here if it is viable."

Ena Williams SVP of Global Expansions Team 7-Eleven Inc. "We are the largest at 61,550 stores in 18 countries around the world. While our company is global, we remain to make our business adapt to the community. The level of the store growth is phenomenal. I would like to thank our franchisees and our employees for the things they do making this successful. What makes it so successful is that the Philippines was able to mark an unprecedented growth without compromising quality. It's a challenge but they have managed to do that at ease."

Congratulations 7-11! Can't wait to see you in my neighborhood soon!
