CIGNAL Launches "TABI PO" The Series on Sari-Sari Network

Content is king so CIGNAL and VIva's Sari-Sari Channel is gambling on new shows this last quarter as they unleash a new series called "TABI PO". With digital content on the forefront this all seems to be the right time to get new concepts on TV and digital, and what's more interesting than popular Philippine folklore?

The words "TABI PO" stemmed from the things superstitious Filipinos say so as not to disturb spirits, dwarves, entities if you are entering their territory. It started from an award winning online comics series by Mervin Malonzo. During the event he says "I feel I am accomplishing something great when this concept was pitched to me by Viva and Cignal. My new interpretation of Philippine folklore is driven by my imagination, with what I wanted to see when it becomes a full blown tv series. I hope you like what you see on Sari-Sari channel. It's a story of Elias, in a period drama series that set in not so ordinary locations."

Aj Mulach adds "This show will showcase outstanding special effects, which you'll see and feel because they did the work in post production. The fighting scenes here have been really designed to showcase martial arts, fit to make an unbelievable show, you've never seen anything like this on Philippine TV." 

Phoebe Walker quips "One of the things I like about this show is the dedication of the people we work with. What we're doing here is non traditional, we know how much work is put in on the scenes and had to be patient at times because the output feels like it's all worth it!"

The Director came up on stage and introduced the show to us and said "Thanks to everyone who came here especially to all the artists who appeared in the show. You've all worked hard to do this even in the wee hours of the morning. This is so difficult to make but it's a dream to actually do. To our production staff, I am thankful to have you do this bloody show and make it into a reality. This looks so much like a movie and I hope it gets appreciated by the viewing public. Without the producers this wouldn't materialize, being brave to do this, I am so proud to see how far we have come. You'll see all blow up on screen on Episode 1."

Ella Cruz, AJ Muhlach for Wattpad Presents: Bebeng Pabebe Meets Super Jiro

Adventure awaits as TV5 unleashes another episode of Wattpad Presents this week. It's called Super Jiro and Bebeng Pabebe which stars Aj Mulach and the lovely viral dance video princess Ella Cruz. This is another installment of TV5's high rating show and perhaps this might be the first time we're seeing something "super heroish" in this show which would be a fresh thing to see in public TV.

Aj says "This is the first ever super hero themed Wattpad episode and I was able to try and work with a harness so it was really challenging to do this. I realized this was something new and I'm happy to be able to try new things in showbiz, something I'd never realize that I'd do on a normal day. I'm still not confident about my body but I hope ordinary people see that they too can be heroes just like Super Jiro."

Ella says "This is the gayest Wattpad episode ever and you'll see how funny the story is when it shows on Monday (today). Aside from my viral videos, I'll be coming out with a Twerk It Like Miley Pabebe version that people should watch out for in this episode. People might think it's the only thing that I do but it just happened to be the most watched, but I have more up my sleeve on my Youtube account that you'll like. There will also be more in the coming weeks and it's going to be different dances, people just loved watching the Twerking video more because it's popular. I'll be doing it in different shows too and this isn't just the only thing that I do, I hope some people don't judge me because it's the only thing they see."

"The real Pabebe Girls will also be appearing in the show and they'll be doing some scenes that will include being a bait for the super heroes made by villains of the show. Bebeng Pabebe will be also be grouped with them later on which you have got to see when you watch the show." says Zaldy Gumaru the show's director.

Wattpad Presents: Super Jiro and Bebeng Pabebe will show starting today August 31 on the happiest network in the country TV5!

It was an awesome day to talk with some of the stars ofPara Sa Hopeless Romantic (For the Hopeless Romantic) at the VIVA offices in Ortigas. I haven't been able to do this because I've been really busy these past few days and I thought this was an opportune time to get to know Direk Andoy Ranay, the author of the book Marcelo Santos III, and the stars of the film. We were also with the charming AJ Muhlach, the gorgeous Shy Carlos, the demigod James Reid and the beautiful Nadine Lustre. I've covered the grand presscon a few weeks back here but I've never been able to sit down with them so intimately like this. I could see them up close, like see the real complexion of their skin, the small things they do for each other. I couldn't wait to take photos of them, thanks to VIVA who made this possible./div>
