CORNERSTONE Announces Co-Management of AGSUNTA

One of the biggest talent management companies in the Philippines, Cornerstone Entertainment just recently announced their co-management with PPL, the excellent and world class music of the band AGSUNTA.

After their recent successful FREE concert on their 10th year in the industry, they are expected to have an even brighter future with the things planned for them by Cornerstone. One thing that I picked up from the interview with them a few weeks ago was an international stint, perhaps a big concert in the works too, and the boys are just raring to go and do it very soon.

Jireh Singson says "We have so much plans to release original songs in a couple of months. We already released one and we have about two in the works. We just had this banked during the pandemic, this time we want to go full force to highlight them even more. I feel the sound has changed, the genre won't be in one place because we all have different influences. If we want to, it will be different but the formula would be the same, so we won't look like a hodgepodge of different music. We want to work with Ivana Alawi on our new music videos, and even DonBelle if possible. Aside from that, our dream is DongYan, which we hope Sir Perry could device a way to do. I remember doing a music video with Ivana a few years ago, when she wasn't of a huge star yet (in 2018 for Wakasan) and so we wanted to do it now, like full circle."

AGSUNTA to hold FREE CONCERT on their 10th Year Anniversary

 

Popular heartbreak band Agsunta (Jai, Miguel, Stephen and Josh) is feeling mighty generous this coming March 23 as they hold their 10th Anniversary concert at the SM City Tanza Cavite Parking Grounds (where they all hail from) ALL FOR FREE, because they want to thank you personally.

Get to listen to their hit songs "Kung Di Na Ako", "Alas Dose", "Bagong Umaga", your favorites and a few new ones so you get to experience an even new Agsunta right outside the mall. We got to interview them a few days ago and asked about what they had up their sleeves, so listen in!

Jireh Singson aka Jai says "We are celebrating our 10th year of being together (the 4 of them). We had different people in the past, but what we are celebrating is US being together. Just like some bands, we started in college, it wasn't serious, just playing together and just jamming. We didn't expect to have a space in the industry. We didn't really notice that we're already on our 10th year, it's like time flew by and we sometimes get called KUYA by some new bands and our fans. We don't get shy anymore because we feel like we're their seniors in some way."

He adds "We are so grateful we lasted 10 years, and we feel it's our time to give back not just to the community, but to the countless Filipinos who listen to our songs over the years. This is why we wanted for them to have a really good FREE CONCERT in SM Tanza in Cavite. We all hail from this province. It's our home turf. We've spent a lot of time on tour, like we feel we've been in every province imaginable. We love that we get to hear that they know our music. We also spent a lot of time composing songs and putting them in the bank so we could release more original songs this year, that's the goal. So you all will have a LOT to look forward to. We will be more aggressive, we will also release music videos and vlogs on our social channels."

They've been known to sing songs of heartbreaks but they hinted that the new material they're working on will be quite different from the music they released in the past. They will release a new single on April 8th that will be turning tides as they've never played songs like it. This is for those who are in love, they'd love to see you blush when you hear it. Make sure you be there on the 23rd, as SM City Tanza will be Agsunta ground. Go get your friends, your family and drag them to the place if you need to! They also have guests like Nef Medina (a very spirited singer from GMA) and awesome PPOP boyband 1621BC.

AGSUNTA Releases "FEELS TRIP" Under DNA Music

From doing covers, to making their own music, and now homegrown pop rock band Agsunta is releasing their new EP called "Feels Trip". 

In 2015, they started doing covers after being formed in a local studio. The band's name was actually from the name of their professor back in highschool. Jirah says "We are happy to have been given a chance to start doing our own music. The dream is to someday perform in larger concert venues such as the Philippine Arena and MOA Arena. This started when we met a couple of months ago, endless meetings resulted in different materials. We will have a show at Jesus is Our Hope International Assemblies in Cubao Quezon City on January 25. This is under DNA Music which is a subsidiary of Star Records."

Known for their hugot songs and undoubtedly hurtful lyrics, they're ready to get these previously composed songs which they had in their coffers and new one. A song about hope and failures in life is Bagong Umaga. Alas Dose is about a love reminisced, Kundi Na Ako is about selflessness. Locomotor is about people who fool other people, a fun tune. Highschool hits is about reminscing the life we had in the Generation Y who are now part of the workforce. 

They mentioned they have released a lot of songs in the past and didn't make the cut with the public. They just got noticed they got traction with the covers but after the connection, they wanted to introduce their own now. Til now they consider it a challenge, but feel it is their lucky medium to get in touch with the people's psyche with regards to their songs.
