Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation Celebrates Iconic 17th Anniversary

It was a huge celebration last Wednesday, July 26th at the Metrotent in Pasig City as our friends from Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation celebrated their 17th Anniversary. It also coincided with the birthday of it's founder Ms. Rosell Taberna. For those who don't know, Outbox Media Production is a full service events and production company that does creative work, commercials, management of events, supply performers/talents, and does marketing and advertising solutions too. This was somewhat a showcase of what they could do and it was certainly cool that they had a concept ready, much of which is about ICONS.

Guests include a lot of their clientele, like private companies, private individuals, suppliers, brands, government offices, the media, a lot of their employees (Taberna Group of Companies) and a lot of their friends and family.  

Aside from that, they had guest from their church, and celebrities like Alfred Vargas, Rr Enriquez, Elijah Alejo, Esang, Charie Pineda, Diane Medina, Lala Sotto, Kathleen Hermosa, Ms. Ara Mina, and Jon Lucas.

Popular coffee/bake shop/restaurant "Ka Tunying's" is also celebrating their 8th year in the business. Despite a really challenging pandemic period, they managed to recoup the branches they lost (about 5) during that period. They now have a total of 7 branches in operation and quite happy about the current business conditions. They remain bullish despite it all.

Anthony Taberna also has a new digital news program which will start this August. Since a lot of his viewers prefer his live streams, this will be called "Tune In Kay Ka Tunying Live!" which will be seen bi monthly (on the 15th and 30th). It's going to be a rundown of the latest news that happened during that time period. You will be able to see it for a full hour (at 5PM before your primetime newscast on TV channels) so make sure you subscribe on his YouTube channel. Ka Tunying says "I'm really excited about this show because aside from current events, we'll be featuring people in stories along with the show. I plan to talk to business leaders, and it will be called "All Access", so you have a hand and learn about their stories on how they have succeeded in their line of business. We will also be featuring places, to help with tourism, plus several interviews with personalities which we will include on the show. One of the planned segments will be in a magazine format, to compress what we shoot in a week in about 10 minutes, so it's really difficult to shoot and produce. We have invested a lot, our own studio to make this all happen."

Mr. Anthony Taberna also lauded his wife on how she was able to do all these things, including managing and producing the show. Truth be told, she's like a workhorse, they even find her working in the wee hours of the morning. He says "I declare my admiration and love for her, on her work ethics, I just hope she takes good care of her health." Ms. Rosell replied "I've had a huge long break during the pandemic, and we're just working hard now that things are getting back to normal. Our kids are good, and happy, we are celebrating as one, we are all happy!"

Rising Above Challenges: Taberna Group of Companies

We felt a little happy about last night's event. I could tell there was so much thanksgiving as the Taberna Group of Companies held "Press Play" which signals their return to hosting events here and in different parts of the country.  It was so much fun as they showcased what Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation can do as they celebrate their 16th year in the business. Ms. Roselle Taberna the Managing Director of Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation says "I made a promise to all my loved ones that I will celebrate your milestones. I always want to make it count, and clients took notice on how we organize corporate events, from outdoor and indoor executions, multimedia and marketing needs, we got it covered. During the pandemic, we were affected, but you all trusted us to make content on demand. We kept producing clients need, and things are looking up, we now are celebrating life. To our clients and partners, thank you for staying with Outbox Media Powerhouse Inc. It is your dedication, hard work that made us who we are, I think of you as brothers, sisters, like family. Thank you for making us grow, thank you for the crazy ideas, I love you guys, with Press Play tonight, let me tour you in our new office."

Aside from that, they also are giving thanks to people who have supported "Ka Tunying's" who was able to successfully weather through the pandemic after losing branches, and now have 3 recovering, and much stronger market wise. Anthony Taberna the President and CEO of Taberna Group of Companies says "I am blessed to have a wife that knows how to work numbers, we are a growing and turning 7 years old tomorrow. I am glad to have been able to work with these people. Thank you!" During the height of the pandemic, Ka Tunying's really suffered. From 10 branches at the height of the company, it all closed and now, they were able to open 3 branches back up and is doing good in food service and catering. They took in the challenges of the pandemic, and slowly, they are recovering. In the last two years, they have new team players, and will be introducing Catering by KT in the market. 

 

And food was good!

They also announced the move of Dos Por Dos, a popular show (with Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja) in DZRH that will be moved from its original 5-6:30PM slot to their new one at 6-8AM weekdays on the same station. This will also be streamed on their social channels as well. Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation also announced the release of patriarch Anthony Taberna's music video made for his YouTube channel "Tune In Kay Ka Tunying" over at https://www.youtube.com/c/TuneInKayTunying that's got 594K subscribers and still growing. Anthony added "My daughter said that I shouldn’t stop doing what makes me happy. It’s why I do my Facebook livestreams and content creation on YouTube."

They are also celebrating the recent win of their daughter Zoey against the big C/Leukemia, which surely changed their life after a successful marrow transplant procedure in Singapore (her sister Helga donated). There was not a dry eye in the room as the daughters thanked their parents for the unending support they've given them on this ordeal. This was the perfect celebration of Mrs. Taberna's birthday as well, and as she said, she already got her wishes with Zoey's recovery. She thanked everyone who came and have supported them all these years.  They have survived a pretty tough time in their lives, and rose above the challenges with the help of their friends, vendors, supporters, family and church.

Ka Tunying's Cafe Now A Part of The Bistro Group

I live in this neighborhood enough to know when a place actually pops up and get enough traction to be tried by my friends and family. I also frequent this part of the city because most TV stations are near here. These coffee shops become my place to work and I don't tell people about it because I would usually want the place to my own. No matter how selfish that sounds, I find these places cozy and conducive for work, sometimes even get the creative juices flowing while I do my favorite thing in the world, blogging and people watching. This one is going to be an exception though because I feel I should tell you about it, have you heard of Ka Tunying's Cafe?

This place is owned by Anthony Taverna and his wife Roselle, same man who hosts shows in DZMM, ABSCBN and who is quite a prolific journalist. For those who don't know, his family owns a very prominent neighborhood bakery in his home province of Nueva Ecija and this place wreaks of that as they serve awesome native made sausages from that region, perfect for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. His restaurant actually isn't named after him, but his Dad (Anontio Sr.) and it's that same provincial charm set in a cozy ambiance that he wants to deliver. With this good premise, I'm sure Quezon City is the perfect place to start off. People have been raving about his "Batutay" which has got the perfect blend of Garlic and spices, fried golden, all in natural casing served with Garlic fried rice if you're not naughty. They have other best sellers like the Arroz Ala Tunying, Cabanatuan Longsilog (which that Batutay I mentioned is included) and is available in recado and hamonado variants too. If you're craving for something good on rainy days, you can try the Tsamporado with Tuyo Flakes, Creamy Baked Bangus, Tinapa Carbonara, Ka-Love-Asa Lasagna, Pancit Ni Nanay Benny (who's recipe came from Ka Tunying's Mom), Kamote Cheesebread, Kalabasa Ensaymada and my current addiction Ka Tunying's Blend Coffee. All rice meals can also be upgraded with Unlimited Rice as an option for only Php 35 bucks. 

Just recently, they partnered with one of the biggest group of restaurants in the country "The Bistro Group". These are the same people who owns, manages and have grown restaurants such as TGIFridays, Itallianis, Denny's among others. Anthony and Roselle felt confident about his move as they are gearing to grow their brands. They have been eagerly updating their menu as well to introduce new appetizers, mains and desserts that would be apt for their stores in Timog Avenue (right in front of GMA) and NAIA 3 branches which they hope will be experienced and savored by more Filipinos soon. Jean Paul Manuud COO of the Bistro Group sees this as their great contribution of serving innovative Filipino comfort food and the same world class service they offer in their restaurants.
