Yellow Cab Pizza Throws "BEST EVER PIZZA PARTY"

Friday, March 08, 2024

We arrived a bit early and saw a lot of people already inside the venue as Yellow Cab threw the "BEST EVER PIZZA PARTY" over at B3 Bonifacio High Street in BGC. In it, they introduced their newest product the "Half Moon Pizza".

Initially I thought this had something to do with the Lunar New Year but no, it was something they wanted to do so people could have a more personal sized serving of some of Yellow Cab's well loved pizza. And why not, much of us actually don't finish a whole pizza (and leave in the fridge) or sometimes, think that they wouldn't be able to afford one when out with friends or family. The half moon pizza actually stands on its own, not a halved pizza and was served hot off the oven! It only costs Php 159!

Aside from good food, this BEST EVER PIZZA PARTY had several game booths where people won exclusive merch, take photos and win prizes from Yellow Cab. Add to that, an actual concert at the center stage with artists like Clara Benin and severely popular Lola Amour!

They just made your favorite pizza flavors into smaller and more affordable so you don't have to consume too much in one sitting and still enjoy your favorite flavors Pepperoni, Hawaiian, whenever you need to.

Here's Clara Benin's interview

The place was also adorned with a poster designed by Raco Ruiz. Aside from that, they also had shirts and bags with the same theme made by Syndrome Supply (Anton and Iñigo). Designs of the products were in limited quantity. The music from Clara Benin and Lola Amour was just amazing and a fun way to start  the festivities.DJ Margachi also followed suit for those who stayed, fun times!

Make sure you follow Yellow Cab Pizza Co's social channels because from the looks of it, there's a lot more they would want to do in the next few months. Maybe you'll get to join in the fun after this. The executives were optimistic about the future of Yellow Cab and would want to.

HONOR Comes Back with Flagship Phones and Lifestyle Devices

Wednesday, September 28, 2022

S
pent a couple of hours at the event of HONOR, the smartphone brand making a comeback to the Philippine market which happened last September 27th. I still have my old Honor phone from a couple years back and it still works, which means they've rather impressed me already with the quality of phones they manufactured (specifically HONOR 6).

This comeback has been met with excitement as they're  releasing a couple flagship devices promising magic among other things.

It's a phone that can take sharp images, with actual Google Mobile Service wherein you can have a lot of apps you can use for socials, games, photos and videos. It's called HONOR Magic4 Pro and is packed with a powerful Snapdragon processor, several camera features, wireless charging and lengthy battery life. Aside from this flagship phone, they also released three mid range smartphones called HONOR X7, X8, and X9. Set in different price ranges, it still gets a lot of features that people can use to connect, nice displays and power up fast when charging.

For the health and fashionably conscious, HONOR has got these for you!

HONOR also released two products, a smartband and a smartwatch called HONOR Band 6 and the HONOR GS3. The band needs to connect to a phone with an HONOR app to work and make changes. Pretty descently priced compared to its competitors here in the Philippines. The band can last up to 2 weeks without charging, whic is so good if you're the type that monitors health stats or if you're into sports. The HONOR GS3 on the other hand is more for a fashion statement and a lifestyle piece. If you're into music, alarms, flashlight, weather monitoring, sms messaging, or even answering calls, pretty lovely to see working if you are into organizing.

Stephen Cheng, Honor's VP for Marketing says "We are back and we all know we are now a stand alone company. We are happy to announce we have 16.7 percent market share and number one in China. Our plants are all digital, ready to take on the Philippines. We know people rely with Google for automation and how other important apps also connect with it. Thank you for your continued support and we're raring to get to the top spot in the Philippine market."

Honor Magic 4 Pro costs Php 52,990 with Free Honor Watch GS3, the Honor X8 is Php 12,919 with Free Honor Band 6, Honor X7 costs Php 9,990 while the X9 stands at 13,990. It's available now on Lazada through their official store. They also have authorized dealers around the country, stay tuned for updates on their social channels.

They have plans to also launch a phone specifically made for vlogging and editing automatically. They will also have something for the more affordable line plus a rumored tablet so stay tuned for that in the coming months. They will be a little saturated and if we've got choices, that's a good thing!

Meet the Band Called FIREFLIES

Thursday, September 15, 2022

Took time out of my busy schedules for a night out on my neighborhood in Quezon City. Pretty dark out there, but I've seen something glow from afar, it was lights from a local bar where I saw FIREFLIES was playing.

It's a band formed in 2016, who now decided to get re-launched with new members in tow. If you're a little observant, you probably know most of them are from bands Cueshé who's had remarkable success in the early 2000's. Jay Justiniani does Lead Vocals, Jhunjie Dosdos on Vocals , Guitar and Keyboards, while JC Del Rosario IV does Vocals and Bass Guitar, RM Tolentino who does Percussions and Pat Galut does the Lead Guitar. They've been working hard the past few months taking a shot at writing songs, doing covers and performing in different locations across the Philippines.

Here's our short chat with them after a set, apologies as it's quite noisy in the bar we were in that evening.

Jay says "Actually, this group is easy to work with. Jhunjie is a former band member of Cueshé (like him) so we do really know each others dynamics. Our other band members are also good songwriters, so it was easy to work with even though we have different ideas. It was easier to make songs if you guys understand each other. Jhunjie and I are good friends, and good friends are hard to come by."

JC adds "Jhunjie and I started to work with Fireflies, and we now have new band members, we just didn't have a vocalist then, Jay agreed to join later on and that became a positive direction for the Fireflies band."

Jhunjie adds "I remember Jay was having doubts joining us a few years back. He was very busy and was based in Cebu. It was a bit difficult because we were playing in Manila most of the time. Some of the former Fireflies got a little tired working with us in the band because of the pandemic as income was really tight because we didn't have gigs during the lockdown. He had to go back to Davao. I was the only one left, I knew I had to do something. I'm thankful Jay agreed even if we haven't seen each other for a long time."

They named themselves Fireflies because it's like a spark in the dark. They're raring to perform in company parties, concerts local or foreign. They are currently being managed by Ms. Grace who previously worked in ABSCBN. You may get in touch with them through 09923150106 as it'll be surely busy during the holidays. They're bringing their new brand of music, some covers, and some old classics that 90's kids, Millenials and Gen Z's would absolutely love. They're going to release a few singles soon, so make sure you follow them also on their social channels at https://www.facebook.com/fireflies.ph because they're going to post updates of their gigs on that page.

Cheers to more music from FIREFLIES! Hope you shine brighter in the darkest hours and share your love of music even more!
