Kobe, Andre and Benjie Paras for Sun Soft

Direct Selling giant MSE (Marikina Shoe Exchange) got us up and early in Capitol Commons for the launch of their new products under Sun Soft Home Products (their detergent line), and boy did we like what we saw!

The Paras Family Benjie, Andre and Kobe serves as the face of Sunsoft and together, they had us take a glimpse of what they offer. I only got emails when someone sought for a player in the US, made arrangements and allowed him to play there. He decided to come back here and played for UP, that’s my parenting style. I made sure they are just equipped with skills that would assure them they’d do good with whatever they want to do. I support them whenever I can.”

Kobe says “I went to the states and was able to do chores on my own, I also worked on a budget. I had a washing machine which I regularly use, before I went to the states I already knew how to do that here.”

Andre adds “Yes you get your fair share of nasty comments from people, they say and treat you like you’re less than who you are. You learn to overcome these from knowing the truth with people you trust, your family. For those who don’t know I have been able to live independently, separately and so I do my own clothes and wash the dishes. We learned it all before we got out of our home.”

A Surprise Birthday Party for Andre Paras

It was his birthday a few weeks ago but I've always asked, how do you actually surprise a smart guy like Andre Paras? It was hard, really hard. They told them they had a meeting, and got his schedules clear, he arrived on the dot and the press and bloggers were caught in traffic. Some of them passed by his car, he already thought something was going on, something smells fishy. We kept our hopes up that he would still be surprised and prepared for that moment. People went ahead and got ready expecting he was going to go up the stairs, but he went to the elevator instead LOL.

He's charming, I was a little worried about him being a little sad though that he didn't give that much times to the fans that were messaging him on Instagram and have seen them there during the event. He's trying as much as he can even if he's very busy and barely get sleep. He's enjoying his youth, he's still playing. He knows he's going to have to get serious roles in the coming years - but he's not in a hurry. He misses Kobe, his Dad too. He wants to enjoy what he's doing now and he's thankful he's got to celebrate his birthday with people from GMA Artist Center, media, the bloggers and his fans. He's never been this surprised though, and he's very thankful for that.

Rocco Nacino Stars In "Ibong Adarna The Pinoy Adventurer"

We watched the movie of Filipino legendary story "Ibong Adarna" top billed by the good looking hunky GMA lead actor Rocco Nacino. He is also joined by a stellar cast including Angel Aquino, Joel Torre, Leo Martinez, Ronnie Lazaro, Benjie Paras and Directed by Jun Urbano aka Mr. Shooli. 

The story revolves around a Datu's son who just wanted to heal his father's illness brought about by a curse sent by a local witch. He needs to go to a far flung place in order to capture a sacred bird whose voice would be the only cure and to keep him alive. 

Rocco in the story didn't pass off too much as a warrior hero like what we're used to see in previous adaptations and we saw a more sensitive, courageous son who was only fighting for his Father's life. I initially thought it was going to be a little corny because of the trailer but when I watched it, the actors were really good especially Benjie Paras and Leo Martinez. You'll also be touched on some of the scenes with Angel Aquino and Rocco and feel like you have to go back home after the movie and hug your Mom afterwards. 

It's truly going to be a hit with the kids because I saw a lot of them appreciating it during the premier night. They even clapped when the scenes were great which is a sign that they understood it's message. If you have kids at home, I highly suggest you bring them there. The film shows on a few selected theaters like Gaisano Mall Davao, Robinsons Movieworld Galleria, Iloilo and Metroeast, SM City Fairview, Manila, Marikina, North Edsa, Olongapo and Pampanga. SM City Rosales, Sta. Mesa, Megamall, Star Mall Alabang, Edsa Shaw and San Jose Del Monte Cinemas. Check out the local mall screenings so you guys can give your kids a treat this weekend!

Congratulations Rocco and the rest of the cast! I hope you get to show this movie later on as part of the Elementary Education curriculum in public schools where they need inspiration. It'll surely benefit them!
