Brittany Builds in Sta. Rosa: For That English Country Feel

Monday, February 27, 2023

Something that I definitely would adore is living in the English countryside. I like the ambiance, the coziness, the shabby chic, some place that authentically mixes old and new. There definitely is something that home amidst the cold weather, or gloomy especially in the outskirts of London. Though we don't really have to travel there.

There's Brittany Sta. Rosa which they built with that exact theme in mind. It's in a sprawling 300 hectare property, tucked away in an enclave made by the folks at Brittany Corporation, the luxury arm of Vista Land and Lifescapes Incorporated. It's got the same allure, that rustic old world charm with the amenities of modern living.

Homes in Georgia Club and Augusta are placed amidst decade old trees, all in 300 to 500 square meter lots so you get ample space for living and nature. They also have parks which you can go and move around in, because why not, you deserve to live the life you deserve!

Georgia Club also has the feel of southern living, as it was a place likened to Georgia (the state). You'll see really good details, a wrap around porch, french windows and swings you can sit on hot afternoons, to have a place to enjoy warm biscuits and iced teas like they used to. Or choose to walk at the Peachtree Clubhouse or Daisy Park, have a picnic with family, friends at a beautiful English lookin landscape.

Augusta on the other hand sits on 15 hectares, at a very private and secure parcel of well designed gardens and lawns. A dream for some, but pretty true already in this place in Laguna. They also got amenities, much for sports, swimming, a court so you need not go elsewhere to have fun!

Brittany Sta. Rosa is also near Vista Mall Sta. Rosa, several plants, schools (universities), hospitals, offices, industrial parks, businesses so if you plan to work in the area, or build your own business, it's highly conducive for that!

For those who are into golf, nearby is a 27 hole course at Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club, imagine teeing off in the morning and working in the afternoons, that's a dream lifestyle!

SLEX and CALAx is also nearby so if you go to Tagaytay or Metro Manila, you can just skip right back home in Sta. Rosa because you're near with either one of them.

If you feel this is a match, head on to brittany.com.ph or their social channels by searching Brittany on the platforms. Homes like these are possible in the Philippines, I would check it out if I were you!

Live Blog: Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay for English Only Please

Tuesday, December 02, 2014

Have you ever felt the world went against you and you just want to vent out? Language barriers, difference in culture, manners, there are lots of things people disagree on things.  We went to Max's in Quezon City to interview hunky Derek Ramsay who plays the role of Julian Parker and Jennylyn Mercado who plays Tere Madlansacay.

Julian is a troubled man. He has a half pinay ex girlfriend named Megan who went home to the Philippines and he wanted to take the chance and tell her in full Filipino what he feels. He's very angry. So before he traveled to Manila, he sought the help of a Filipino tutor which in this case was the feisty looking Tere Madlansancay. Tere is an accomplished online English tutor, she named several celebrities who learned from her - name dropped to be on her belt. Her new student Julian is good looking, crushed fr her past relationship and is nursing a broken heart. Tere is very single, and when she tries to help the good looking guy, will sparks fly? That remains to be the question.

Kai Cortez plays the role of Mallows who is Tere's best friend. She's probably sleeping with all the guys in the movie but she is the best friend that would want to help her find that one true love. Isabel Frial plays "Kaykay" who is Mallows' daughter in the movie. She almost spilled the beans on the status of Derek and Jennylyn's relationship during the conference but decided to say they're just "naglalambingan" (showing affection). The director Dan villegas says "It's fun to actually do Romantic Comedies because it's a good feeling to be in-love. That feeling is insurmountable."

Good looking Kean Cipriano plays a douche bag from hell that you'll probably see more of in motel scenes, in restaurants, shopping for shoes, clothes which will all be unfortunately paid for by Tere. He told us he wanted to be a bigger character than what was in the role and the Director gave him the freedom to be close with the persona of Johnny Bravo. Funny, but you are going to be annoyed with his character. He says when you get to enjoy the trailer, keep in mind that they only made that after finishing half of the shoot. So imagine how funny the rest of the movie is because there are several characters you haven't seen yet.

Derek says Jennelyn should "never close her doors" whilst Jen says "With the things I've learned in the past, you should apply that today but remember, the right time will come where you will meet then person you'll spend your life with, in God's time.

This is the only romantic comedy film to be shown in the Metro Manila Film Festival this December but the cast says, this is something light, something fun to watch during the season. They hope their fans would find time to watch when the film comes out Christmas day. I'll watch it, you should too!

Tea Party Anyone?

Monday, April 30, 2012

AGANLOGO

I'm a coffee drinker and I've always been one since time in memorial. These days there are lots of options to get you out of that habit and one thing in particular that I picked up from my brother in Ireland is tea drinking. I didn't know you could actually mix it with milk and it'll be a great alternative weather hot or cold!

A-Gan means sweet and refreshing aftertaste in Chinese; and that's exactly what I found out in A-Gan Tea when I checked out the branch at Greenbelt 2 Park, Ayala Center, Makati. The sweet -  smokey taste of hand picked tea leaves from the Ali Mountains of Taiwan.I guess that's why the industry is flourishing in that side of the world.A-GanTea Milk Tea surely is a good thing to try for novice or heavy tea drinkers. It'll probably be a lot different from the normal tea houses we see sprouting through Manila. Their concoctions are carefully planned and researched bringing you the best ones possible to consume on a hot summer or just about any time of the day.

For those who haven't tried it yet maybe one of these guys might interest you.

Agantea Drinks

My personal choice would be the Hawaiian Fruit Tea, I'd like to have a more tropical - tangy mid tones since they have the real thing as base. I wouldn't resist getting tapioca or maybe the ones with Coconut Jelly or Taro Agar Bits. You choose!

For those who haven't tasted this yet it'll be their pleasure to have you over on May 12, 2012 6pm at the Greenbelt 3, Garden Activity Area. With guest stars such as teen sensations JAMICH, Eric Tai, Andrew Wolf and Chris Everingham of the Philippine Volcanoes it'll surely be one A Gan Tea experience you'll never forget!
