KC Concepcion and Erwan Heussaff for the ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED and ASUS ZenBook Duo 14

Thursday, March 25, 2021

Two Zenbooks got launched a few days ago from our friends over at ASUS. It was nice to see people actually using it for the right reasons, first was Erwan Heussaff who did so many things with the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 and the other was gorgeous KC Concepcion for the ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED.

Erwan is a content creator, restaurateur and an entrepreneur. His day consists of so many things to work on and if he's going to have a buddy to be with him to finish things, the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 was a good companion. It's got an 11th Gen Intel Core Processor, an NVIDIA MX450 and an Intel Iris X GPU, all of which accommodated his multi tasking lifestyle. The ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 has a 16 GB RAM which can put to work a second monitor (for dual touchscreen) so you can view and work on different projects at the same time. Aside from that, it's got a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 SSD so opening different programs from photo to video editing is a cinch. This time, the ScreenPad plus also adjusts with the Ergolift so you can see both displays clearly (7 degrees) and maintain good temperature for the whole laptop.

Aside from being an actress, KC Concepcion has several businesses on her belt including designing jewelry. In it, she has to be very meticulous and detailed oriented hence the need for accurate displays like the one on the ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED. The ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED has an FHD OLED Nanoedge display so she sees more of the things she's working on.  It also has an 11th Gen Intel Core Processor and an Intel Iris X GPU. The stunning display is an OLED FHD with 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut so you only see detailed and true-to-life colors which KC appreciates when she needs to check gems. She feels this would also be good for those who are into editing content, design, production or any color critical work. The ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED also has 70% less harmful blue light so it would be less harmful for the eyes. People spend hours working on laptops these days and it could really hurt sometimes, blue light actually does that. ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED reproduces true blacks, so you get crisp looking images even on darkest settings, though you can still see the details because of the high contrast it gives. This is also very thin and light but didn't have to lessen ports so if you need to have it connected to other screens, projectors or devices, the ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED can still do that. Battery life is also phenomenal, it can last up to 13 hours without the need of plugging it to a wall.

Celebrities Root for Samsung Galaxy Note20

Friday, November 06, 2020

Who else but Miss Universe Catriona Gray, Restaurateur and content creator Erwan Heussaff, Bianca Gonzalez and huge gamer Gino Quillamor vouched for the new Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Note 20 Ultra.

For Cat, she loves taking notes with the Note 20's S pen and scribble everything on Samsung Notes. She's a very busy woman and with the various charities and causes she's involved in, there's a lot of paperwork or documents that need to be signed. She also love writing down ideas, so she could asses where she could help. She also designs textile prints so whenever she's got an idea, she whips out her phone and starts doing it.

Erwan on the other hand is so much of a food enthusiast. Whenever he feels, hears, sees, taste some special dishes on his travels, he writes them down for inspiration. There are a lot of ways to discover things so he puts them all on his blog and vlog. He also takes the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra along to take videos because it can shoot 8K quality, which is impressive for something handheld. Bianca on the other hand relies on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra's 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 display to view photos and videos. She needs this a lot being in the media, to host shows, you've got to know what you are talking about and she even uses the Samsung DeX to easily connect her phone to her Smart TV so she can both view reports, current events and still do useful things on her smartphone. Gino on the other hand uses the Galaxy Note20 Ultra’s Game Booster with an enhanced NPU to make sure he gets ahead of the pack. Gaming takes a lot of resources, and it needs to have a fast refresh rate so he can do hand eye coordination at max speed, and he's thankful the phone can do 120Hz for its refresh rate. Imagine the things you can do with that on third person shooters or rpg's, he's pretty fond of that.

Honestly, I haven't had the pleasure of actually using a Samsung device in my lifetime. I've seen them with friends and I see how happy they are. If you're looking for something nice, these Galaxy Note20 Series are available starting October 14 til the 31st. Several Samsung Experience Stores are offering this at 0% interest up to 24 months. You can opt for the "Buy Now, Pay Later" promo or the “Trade in, Save Up” program if you prefer it that way. Go to participating Samsung Experience stores til December 31st so you can get them in deals that are unbelievable.

Erwan Heussaff and Carousell Encourages REBOXING so #EveryoneWins

Wednesday, November 13, 2019

It was a really crazy night in EDSA (a few weeks ago) but I had to be in Chingolo, the new private dining restaurant of YouTube sensation Erwan Heussaff. He joined forces with popular selling app Carousell to encourage people to do a lot of REBOXING so #EveryoneWins. Like Erwan, I know a lot of people who hoard stuff in their homes especially bloggers who receive a lot of mail and end up just throwing it out later on. Instead of just unboxing these items for content, Carousell would like to see if you could kindly rebox it and pass it off to someone who actually needs it. That's gonna be a lot of help for people who not only would be able to use it, but who knows, maybe help them fulfill their dreams!

After being launched in 2016 in the PH, Carousell is creating more possibilities as they campaign for more buy and sell activities in your community. Selling random things such as cars, plates, pots and pans, their community always thrives because somebody out there that needs your stuff. Because of their platform, people who want affordable but working stuff which can bring you places.

It’s human against human, Carousell is now in 6 countries and as of now, there are millions of transactions. In this case, everyone wins!

He showed us his latest baby (before the real one comes) which is Chingolo. He mentions "We named the place this way just because we thought the term was fun and amusing. We plan to only have a few tables, to serve courses to guests who reserve ahead, for a more intimate setting." The food was absolutely good, and with the reboxed items in Erwan Heussaff's account, he also threw in a cooking session to the delight of one unsuspecting Carousell user. She is Nicole Jastive, a culinary arts student from La Salle. She wishes to become a Michelin Star Chef, and since she wished for it, Erwan got a lot of his restaurant essentials, a seasoned iron skillet, and this opportunity to cook with him that evening.

Let's just say, this happened.

Fresh crunchy salad with slivers of parmesan cheese.

This was like Gordon Ramsay's Beef Wellington sans the steak but had roasted vegetables in it. It was good!

The Dirty Rice, with sliced steak in it too.

As you may know, Erwan gets his meat from Argentina and his friend Nico Bolzico. It was more lean rather than its fatty cousins from the US. The steak deserves it's own country code, it was that good.

The desserts were awesome too.

Erwan personally whipped up cocktails for us before the festivities. I just took this photo for the ladies haha!

Marita Galvez the Country Marketing Manager for Carousell says "People who unbox probably have a lot of stash on their coffers.  This is why Erwan, Moira and Mari Jasmin prepared a box of their old stuff and got it on the platform, to have someone win it too!"

Nicole absolutely loved what Erwan put out on the platform. Moira and Mari Jasmine also shared their personal stuff (like guitars and travel essentials) because they believe in this cause. All you need to do is do the same, rebox your stuff and let someone make use of it. Who knows, that next artists could make their dreams come true if you just helped make that happen!

So come on and join Erwan, Mari Jasmine, Moira, me and tons of people who will try and do a lot of REBOXING today... go ahead and put them on Carousell.
