Angel Guardian outs DIKO Single Under GMA Records

Wednesday, September 11, 2019

Mesmerized by her voice, this gorgeous lady named Angel Guardian gave us her brand of music. Honestly, I find it so good as a soundtrack for a youth oriented show. Although it talks of love and relationships, it could pass for other things aside from that, a song of love and hope. She is very talented, appearing in several commercials (including an ice cream brand still airing now), she’s also doing several shows, TV guestings and now a single out from GMA Records.

Angel Guardian sang "Diko" and she shares “I was pressured to make this but when I did it was a chance to be in the music industry and people said it was nice, I became more confident when it was getting attention. I haven’t had voice lessons, I didn’t know a specific style but I just sing when I can. I am planning to improve on it because it is one of my passions. It gives me a different feeling, I also am trying to write new ones and I am getting into the groove. I like Julie Anne, if ever I had the chance I’d love to work with her. I don’t know about Diko that much but I just related it to a situation that I could connect with. It’s about a girl trying to fall inlove with a guy, but it ended up that he told her about another girl he’s falling in love with, it’s a bit hurtful. It was a composed song in the banks of GMA and among the five, I chose two that I felt was in tune with who I am now, to be in the moment. I have already recorded the second single and I am excited about that too, but for the meantime, I hope people would enjoy this. Also, I sing a lot of genres and I can’t pinpoint a particular one which I could only sing. This one is very youthful, very up to date, I love how it sounded so we are releasing this today. For the music video, we will be making one soon. I hope people get to appreciate the song on streaming platforms and also the one we are making soon!”

It was her birthday too!

Make sure you search, stream and download it off digital stores because she deserves this break, she’s very good actually. This is again under GMA Records.

Garrett Bolden and Mirriam Manalo Launch Singles

Friday, August 23, 2019

Sat down over coffee and got us interviews with GMA Music's Garrett Bolden and Mirriam Manalo. They're out with new singles called "Handa Na Maghintay" and "Una Ka" under the same label. They looked ecstatic from where we were seated.

Garrette says "I am so excited for you to hear Handa Nang Maghintay. It's about being a martyr, for those who want to wait for that perfect time to love somone. There is a performance video, it's already on YouTube. Meeting my real Dad, I waited for that. I didn't know how to do it but it did come, when we had communication, it felt it was something I wanted but it did come. I hope it would be more albums, songs, hopefully concerts and international exposure too. I am not expecting this at all, and I realize it is a hard path. I have always wanted to have a duet with Qwest and South Border or Julie Anne San Jose. I am still learning the ropes on how to compose and I hope I can do songs with other Clash artists as well. I have done gigs and set aside money so I could go to auditions outside the country. I did it with my own funds, hopefully I could do festivals and do the country proud. I still look at them now and the availability. I have tried Miss Saigon as well, but fear when it was just too big for me but I would still like to experience it because some artists do tell me it fits my voice. I have experienced TV acting and I enjoyed it and I hope this is just a start of opportunities to come. Maybe I could sing something for Descendants of the Sun, perhaps insert songs like this into that series. Hopefully soon. I wish to advise The Clash season 2 finalists to just be patient, take risks, and never doubt yourself. If you take a big step it will be a huge thing for people who will listen to you. Take the step."

Mirriam Manalo says "This is my dream, my first single, it's high tech and I have waited for this since I was 12. I hope this becomes a part of a teleserye. My first child reacts quite nicely, my voice was gone when I gave birth and I couldn't belt anymore. I accepted it and the baby was a nice trade for the voice, a bit hard but this is my happiest time. Very fulfilling, I love being a Mom. I have consulted doctors, they told me this happens. I was thinking more of what will happen to my daughter when I was singing and she was still in my womb. I want to do a collab with Ms. Regine, with Garrette, I got stressed but when I see my daughter, I feel it's all worth it. My song is about dreaming, you get inspired with the person you love, more inspirational than pop. I sing to her and sometimes listen to Jazz, it gets us to sleep. I look up to a lot of jazz artists, they inspire me to sing. When I was 8 nobody believed I could sing, I joined contests and did it on my own in karaoke. I was 11 when I joined contests, my folks thought I was so confident on stage and started doing gigs when I was in my teens. I fell in love when I heard the song, I knew it was my song and knew this is it. This is perfect for me, I felt the song chose me. I still wish to be the next Lani Misalucha and how she soulfully do songs. I didn't change my goals, I still wanted to sing in a cruise ship, to write songs and perform it. When I got to The Clash, I still I felt it was out of my league but this is all happening, becoming a recording artist is surreal. I hope I get to build my own home, my business and bring up my kids a better future. I am training get my groove back but you know there are a lot of songs I could still sing, hopefully I would recover soon."

She also told us it was so hard to record this unlike before where it would have just taken minutes. But really, when we heard her it was just like before. She's really good. Now go download their music on Spotify and other digital stores worldwide because they deserve this huge break!

They're really good.

Alden Richards for ADRENALINE RUSH

Thursday, August 30, 2018

I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Honestly, I miss this guy a lot because the last interview I had with him was during MMFF with Maine Mendoza, so that was a long time ago. Good thing he’s staging a concert this September at the Kia Theater and fans have been waiting for this too I’m sure.

In the press conference, I asked Alden about the venue and he says “Why Kia? It’s because I have been able to do shows in Kia Theater before and now that we know the place, we will be maximizing the venue because we will do things not just on stage but on the audience side too. I’ll be doing several stunts which we haven’t done in previous shows and that’s what will happen on September. We haven’t announced who will be our guests because we want everyone will be surprise. You may expect the expected people to be there. About Victor Magtanggol, I am so happy to have turned most of the show’s detractors into fans of the show after they have watched it. They went into complaining first before they did watch the show. The album has originals, it will be different, we know we have different kinds of listeners now. Majority of what is in it will be original. In the concert it will be super difficult to do the song and dance numbers. It’s a dream for me to do a bigger venue next time but we will have to make the venues of these few concerts be sold good. GMA Records is so nice to believe in me and produce things for me, singing is a bonus and it’s something for the records, I will be still doing acting gigs all the time. I ask my friends to pray for me before every show I do. We will be doing things off stage so it will be different for me and I am excited. I want my family to be there and I am so happy to see them there also the last time. The show will not be a narrative but the sequences are planned, not structured. I was consulted since conceptualization, and I had collaborations in planning, choosing songs. There will be themes per segment, there will be personal stuff and parts dedicated to special people in my life.

He adds “When I get concerts I make sure to do my best so that the people who trust me won’t get disappointed. I mean with all the trust that they have put on me, it’s only right that I give something back.”

Alden would like to thank Magnolia, Cebuana Lhullier, McDonalds, Dailymotion and Barangay LS 97.1 for helping him with the show. This is produced by GMA Records. Tickets are available through TicketNet and the VIP tickets will include the album for FREE so if you’re a good fan, you know what to get!

Oh how I wish those surprise guests include you know how :) I know you would like that to happen too!
