BAYO's "Style Harvest : A Holiday Heritage" Collection Launch

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

Bayo Clothing Executives and Iza Calzado
I've always revered BAYO as a classy and sophisticated women's clothing brand here in the Philippines. They've done so much in the past couple of years and good ones at that, but they're stretching their hands once again for a new one called Style Harvest 2015: A Holiday Heritage Collection. They worked with the Tourism Office of San Fernando Pampanga and connected with artisans in that city to create the same lovely line of clothes with graphics inspired and adorned with the one and only Parol. If you've adored the Pampanga parols all throughout your Filipino life, you know it's part of culture and it has been passed on from generation to generation. Mixing fashion and the colorful stars that represent the star of Bethlehem was just something great and we saw that happen yesterday at the launch!

What's heartwarming to know is that they're giving some of the proceeds to Virlanie Foundation that takes care of the education of street children. The little black dress hugged by huge colorful parol designs also looked quite nice, and doesn't look cheap. It stays classy just like any other BAYO outfit from their stores. A welcome sight also was Ms. Iza Calzado who embodies a great Filipina woman, with her work, her awards, her personal wins, she's but a good representation of what Bayo deems as a Style Harvest icon. Perhaps this is a series? I can't wait to see more of it soon!
