Maja Salvador and Tor Saksit Release FALLING INTO YOU

Sunday, February 11, 2018

Had a splendid afternoon with Maja Salvador and the Thai composer Tor Saksit. They just released Maja’s single called FALLING INTO YOU that’s now out on digital stores nationwide.

Tor says “We tried to make something different in Karma studios and this was one of the products. We did it in two days, but we had one more day for the music video. To study the song, it wasn’t that long because I wrote this song. We know it was going to be a good material and it’s amazing to do this here. I listen to pop songs, classical and jazz. I think right now I’m into basic pop, some that has beautiful melody so the Asian market would love it. I have released 11 albums in Thailan and have chinese singles too. I go to Taiwan and China to promote my singles. I compose melody and arrange songs, I could do that here. She’s a natural singer and she has experience in acting so that helps a lot bringing emotions out. If I’m offered a movie and my label thinks it’s a good thing I’ll consider it. Thank you BEC TERO Music and Ivory Music and Video for supporting us, Falling Into You will be available in all digital stores worldwide.”
Maja on the other hand told us how this happened and says “Teacher Annie went with me in Bangkok because I don’t have time to do voice lessons. She gave us her time so we can do this. This song was adjusted for me and lowered the key so it would be smooth. I am greatful to work with his team in Thailan because there were a lot of artists they could have chosen from but they picked me. For me, maybe I just accepted my own voice, tone, real one and in everything you do you just accept what you can do and that’s what happened. This is under IVORY and BEC TERO Music. We have a mall show in BiƱan and Robinsons Mall in Bulacan. We have a guesting in Showtime on Monday and tape a few shows too. Please help me and Tor tell people we have a single out, thank you!”
If you love Maja, you’ll love this new music because it doesn’t actually sound like her to tell you honestly. It’s more sultry, which she says is because she’s loving her own voice now, and how she should love her range. She hopes her fans would appreciate it.
This is under Ivory Music and Video in cooperation with BEC TERO Music of Thailand.

Ivory Music and Video Forges Partnership with Tee Radio

Monday, August 28, 2017

I arrived at the Tee Radio studios in Cubao, Quezon City a couple of weeks ago to confirm great news about this great partnership they're having with established record label Ivory Music. Now to tell you frankly, I've only seen Tee Radio publish crazy content online with viral videos, appearing almost every day on my Facebook timeline but didn't know they've set up a real deal online radio station with a whopping 6 Million plus strong community to back them up. During my visit, they had local band Eevee being interviewed and broadcasted across their social media channels, their official website http://teeradio.net/ and those who are live streaming from their apps on the App Store and Google Play. It's through a show they properly call "It's Tee Time!".

During the show, I saw a very familiar face. It's Eevee Band's Enzo Villegas. I know his brother Niko whom I did workshops from under Elite. From what I know they're based in Davao, and I've heard their hits a couple of years ago.

It's Tee Time will be shown twice a month (Fridays) 5PM to 6PM. The show will discuss about personalities, music, the latest trends and everything that's interesting on the Internet. It was a little funny on how they did the show when we were there because it was like they were just hanging out, like friends having beers and snacks while being broadcasted live online via the official app, the website and on their popular Facebook page. Their plan is to feature more artists in the coming months, and with the partnership with Ivory Music, I don't think they'll be running out of people to talk to in the coming months.

They didn't disappoint their fans and new listeners because as part of the show, they got to showcase their latest songs, their previous hits, and was even so cool to play a couple of games inside the studio.

Eevee Band has just released their newest single "Gisingin Mo Na Lang Ako" (Just Wake Me Up) under Ivory Music and Video. Aside from that, they've got "Gusto Ko Lang ng Girlfriend" (I Just Want a Girlfriend) and "Sarap Maging Single" (It's so good to be single) which they had released a couple months back. The band is composed of Enzo Villegas who's doing lead vocals, Paolo Seguna on lead guitar, Gianne Garcia on bass guitar and Patrick Anchinges on drums. They're a pretty rowdy bunch and are no strangers to the band scene. They started their career winning in a band competition in 2009 and now that they're part of Ivory Music, they seem to have been enjoying this journey.

Their music is Alternative, but the songs are quite reminiscent of reworked ballads because mostly all of the lyrics talk about love, relationships, its failures and picking up the pieces. It's that weird good feeling, you just need to listen to it to appreciate it. Eevee Band's tracks are all available on online stores like Deezer, Apple Music and other digital stores internationally. Expect them to be touring around malls pretty soon, request them on radio if you want to listen to them ahead of everyone else.

Thank you for the opportunity to talk to you Eevee band! Can't wait to see your star shine the soonest!
Here's a short interview we did with Eevee Band!

Jennylyn Mercado Unleashes ULTIMATE Album

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

I think it's about time!

We've waited long enough to get a glimpse of our favorite actress Jennylyn Mercado. She's back with her newest CD after 2 long years and she's done this under Ivory Records. She's been getting airplay already with the single "Hagdan" and she's set to also perform in Trinoma this Friday (September 23) with Silent Sanctuary 6PM. The songs are based from Jennylyn's life experiences and she's glad to have been able to work with Asia's goodlooking crooner Christian Bautista for the song "Suddenly". She also has a new show Superstar Duets that will premier on Saturday on GMA.

Jennylyn says "It is important for me to hear the first few notes and feel that it's catchy, that's where I concentrate first before the lyrics. It gets the people interested, and Hagdan for me is very inspirational, when you've done everything and nobody believed you but you get it. I don't think I can dedicate songs to Dennis Trillo because the lineup of songs are pretty sad but hopeful. I don't have any favorites right now but I always sing Bulalakaw whenever I'm alone. Christian and I disn't really meet but when I heard the song, the arrangement and songs just sounded so nice. For me, it's important to take the melody first, it's different, the message would easily come across fast. I've done 6 albums and this one is a little different because it's upbeat on some instances. I'll be performing Hagdan on Superstar duets, the others will be sung in Trinoma. Music is number one, it's where I started and that's where I was really discovered. It feels good when you get a song done and you get really good words from strangers. I don't write songs, but I gave them directions especially on Bulalakaw and they made it for me. I also made changes on the cover, to make it water color, so it would be different and not just glamour. Suddenly was just given to me from a list and they suggested Christian and I was so excited when they mentioned his name. Whatever's given to me, I'm so lucky and I'm contented."

The album already made the number 1 spot on iTunes on it's first day of release. This will also be available at Deezer, Spinnr and other digital music stores. There are also other OPM tracks on the album like "Nakaw Tingin", "Huling Paalam", "Lampara", "Magkaibang Mundo" and "Bulalakaw" which she did with the band Silent Sanctuary.
