Boy Group JBK Dishes Out Single Anestisya

Monday, November 11, 2019

A great morning deserves a good song which popular boy band JBK has been doing with their recent released single called “Anestisya”. It’s Filipino for Anesthesia and for them, it means a lot of other things rather than just being a procedure. It’s about taking a break, about being numb sometimes. What makes Joshua, Bryan and Kim feel it was right to release this now? We talked to them over lunch, they also obliged for a song, the single was so cool!

Bryan says “This was a song in the coffers of Sir Jojo and it was planned to have this included in a music fest. We thought it sounded good and asked him in 2019 about releasing it, in two months we did. It is timely, very masa, not common and the take of the boyband was good. This is the song which we didn’t expect anything and now, it did good in the charts. We are so glad this happened. You ask what’s your anesthesia. When we did XFactor UK we only did it for fun, we didn’t really open our emails but when a photographer sent us copies of photos, I had to and I think it was fate. When we visited the foundation we dedicated our last concert with, we got so touched about it. ”

Joshua says “For us, it was relatable, it was about love and life, about taking a break. We go back to realities we need a time out, a coping mechanism and how you deal with pain. I did have anesthesia when I got into an operation, a bone thing which I had removed. We all had that. We started doing free workshops in the past and got to know each other, we got together and after that, we were approached by so many people. We were still studying, but got it full time. We want to write songs, try to join competitions. It is really hard to go mainstream, and it was what we felt.”

Kim adds “Sometimes you need to calm down. When you get to that point where you’re already hurting, you need it. There was so much help we got in our last concert. We eventually will release a couple more songs next year and perhaps if all things work out a concert if things push through. Yes, expect more hits and collaborations with other artists, other groups, female singers because a lot of it is in the pipeline.”

It’s relatable, gives you all the feels of love and how to take a pause. Take a look at your situation, and how you could get over it. It’s now available for stream on Spotify, go listen to it today because as you’ve seen on the video, they’re good! This single was written by MB Editor JoJo Panaligan and produced by RiderPH Studios.

Can't wait for more!

JBK To Hold First Major Concert “Just Be Kind”

Friday, March 15, 2019

They’ve been doing headway since their stint in XFACTOR UK. This male group composed of Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario and Kim Ordono also known as JBK will finally be holding their first major concert at the Music Museum this March 29 and their fans can’t wait to see them perform!

Joshua says “We will be doing hugot skits in the concert and different singing styles. It is something our supporters should look forward to. The foundations we will help? We met them through David Archuleta's concert when we were his front act. Mabuhay Desert Foundation helps kids who are in dire need of medical help, with cleft palate, blind, or clubbed foot. YesPinoy (of Marian and Dingdong) and Hero Foundation helps send soldier's kids to school. It opened our eyes on how blessed we are and we always make it a point to always help when we are doing gigs. It's just different!"

Bryan adds “We will be the ones to create the lineup of songs and we made sure you would hear new material which we haven’t performed live elsewhere. There will be songs from Queen just to give you an idea. We want to give you a background, we initially had a producer before but backed out when we couldn't get a date on the venue. Now we are virtually doing everything, we will give original songs, do iconic songs from movies. In life, you cannot go wrong with kindness hence the name of the concert. We will help the beneficiaries together with our sponsors, we want to give back to the kids.”

Kim says “We are undergoing vocal and dance lessons until now. We review everything before we call it a day, it’ll be smooth when you see it on stage come March 29. Having Ms. Julie Anne San Jose is Bryan's crush and  he wanted her so much he requested for it. Watch out for the songs we plan to do on the concert because this will be big!

JBK will also be having guest performers with them on this day, particularly Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose, The Voice’s Bradley Homes, The Dental Diva Kakai Bautista, some cast members from Rak of Aegis with Nina Espinosa. They will be performing with JBK too. The concert Just Be Kind is produced by Winstruck Events Production, tickets only cost Php 1,500-500 and is available via TicketWorld.com.ph or 09178621313. The beneficiaries of this concert are Mabuhay Desert Foundation, YesPinoy Foundation and HERO Foundation Inc.

They obliged us with a couple of songs this morning, thanks JBK!

McJim Classic Leather Launches Dreams Get Real: The Search for the Next OPM Star Season2

Wednesday, September 02, 2015

After the very successful first season of McJim Classic Leather's Dreams Get Real: The Search for the next OPM Star, here they go again and launched it's second season to discover new Filipino talents and promising acts all for the love of OPM. They've already made headlines with last years champs Fifth Dynamics, JBK and Neo Domingo and this time, they're going to amp up the ante with fresh voices, bigger, better and brighter stars in Dreams Get Real history.

Chris Cahilig the Dreams Get Real Project Head says "The level of competition is just mind blowing because during the eliminations, we were just pain stricken in choosing the top 10. It was around a hundred entries then we had to choose 20 for the mall eliminations. After that, we had the top 8 then add 2 more wildcard entries so we could complete the final 10. At this point, I've noticed that they are all talented but we're looking for that perfect one who has star quality. In this group, with proper guidance, we're going to have a star! We've been waiting to introduce to you the 10 finalists of this competition. The company has sternly supported OPM all these years and we've even had OPM artists as endorsers so it is inherent for the brand. The winners last year is about to launch their debut albums, all in a span of two months so please watch out for that. We also have the contestant's videos up on our youtube and social media channels and all will be culminated at the Music Museum and announced on November 9, the process is rigorous and we'll have the brightest star among them, we can't wait for you to see them all!"

These contestants are comprised of students, amateur and professional singers, people from all walks of life and some of them noted that this is a lot different from competitions they've joined in the past. The top 10 contestants are Zsarina Concepcion, Eiffel Manansala, Carmela Ravanilla, Micah Llona, CJ Raneses, Tricia May Casauay, Erickson Malabanan, Kym Penoso, Abigail Mendoza and Apple Delleva. Some of them have frequented competitions but some of them are totally new.

The competition will make thesr guys and gals win a full album, their own music video, Php 100,000 cash prize from McJim Classic Leather, artist marketing support (which they'll find very important!) and a talent management contract. For more details about the competition, please like their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/OfficialMcJim so you can catch these performers as they battle it out with other artists very soon!

Ciao!
