Ken Chan's PAPA MASCOT Shows in 100 Theaters Today!

Wednesday, April 26, 2023

W
e love Ken Chan, I mean, who doesn't? He's the most charming, adorable and very kind artist even back in the day. Today is going to be epic as his film PAPA MASCOT will be shown in 100 theaters nationwide. Ken Chan is a little nervous but so proud about it since a few of his friends already saw it during the celebrity screening a few days ago. They've been very supportive just like when Ken needs them, he felt a lot of pressure but he was happy how they reacted during that day. Some of them cried about the film, and told him personally why they loved it. The feedback so far has been very positive. He's also part of the producers, and they plan to actually make more soon.

Ken says "It's so touching to see the support of GMA and Sparkle management. They even supported me in my businesses, they send press and bloggers to help me in everything that I do, it's really a big help. I don't even have to request, they reach out to me and I'm lucky for that. Even if this movie wasn't produced by them, they encourage me to do more projects. PAPA MASCOT certainly was hard to do but I don't complain, because it needs to be shown on film, the characters obstacles, it's hard to have that be shown on screen but the story needs to be drawn. Like the character, I experienced the same when I was starting. I didn't have tents, I didn't have a place to go when I was just a nobody. I prayed for my success, it wasn't a joke and I even had my parents with me that time. I want longevity, this is my passion and I would want to be able to work with the industry's best right from the start."

This is directed by Louie Ignacio and he had to level up acting wise because it needs to be toned down as the personality of the mascot is big already. You will feel pain, you will feel love with PAPA MASCOT. Imagine what you'll feel in the cinemas, go watch it today please as I will too!

This is under One International Films.

KEN CHAN Wishes To Work with JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE and GLAIZA DE CASTRO Soon

Friday, May 27, 2022

Our boy Ken Chan is doing mighty good with his shows and now he's taking his newest single QUARANFLINGS in the promo route. This will be launched in June 12 on AOS, but the track has already been released in social channels and streaming sites so if you're looking for something you could relate to go ahead and listen to it now.

Ken Chan says "We didn't have anything to do but survive during the pandemic, but I think the only person I have had the pleasure of being with during the whole thing was Rita Daniela. For that I am grateful, and yes, there are a lot of people who messaged me but if I've met them, I treat them as friends. During the pandemic, there are a lot of people who have had the experience of having a relationship, and I think they'll be able to relate to Quaranflings. This is a song composed by Lolito Go and produced by Paulo Agudelo under GMA Music."

He adds "I know Rita and I would really have a good following, I am looking forward for more projects with her but there's a good time for that. We both know that we should work with other artists. If I was going to work with other actresses, I wished for Bianca and it came true for Mano Po. Next time, I want to work with some of my closest friends like Julie Anne San Jose or Glaiza De Castro. To clear, I just picked up that quote I tweeted a couple weeks ago on Google, I think I forgive easily."

Here is Ken's latest single

Here's our blog conference this morning:

With his wish to go back to AOS and soon to work with Julie Anne San Jose or Glaiza De Castro, Ken Chan will surely be a remarkable leading man on GMA and their new shows. Aside from being busy with businesses he's put up in the last few years, he's continuing to make music, to hopefully release more next year or late this year.

Ken Chan's Empire: Opens Second Branch of CAFE CLAUS

Friday, April 01, 2022

Just left Greenhills Promenade while writing this piece as I've attended the launch of CAFE CLAUS at this location, their second one after putting up CAFE CLAUS in Tandang Sora QC. For Ken, this has been a pretty memorable place because his tatay German Moreno aka "Kuya Germs" used to bring him here to unwind and have fun when he was still alive. The new branch has a German Christmas theme as they wanted a different one in every branch they put up, and yes, talks are in the works for putting up about 3 more of these within the year.

Their Ensaymada is glistening in gold! Just one of the nice things at Cafe Claus!

Ken and his partners are ecstatic that the first branch is doing well and they've been able to study the market well even if we're still under the pandemic. Food served in this branch still has the classics but will have some special items in the menu that would represent the German them they are executing for the Greenhills branch. We talked to Ken, his partners and chefs about their future plans which seem so exciting especially for those who are in the look for a coffee shop that would make them escape reality while having a cup of joe in their shop (even for just a few hours). Here's what transpired during the launch!

My only question was, is he building his empire? Ken says "I don't know if it's an empire or not, I'm just venturing into businesses that I love, ones that I have passion in and if that means it'll all be successful in the near future, I'd love that!"

In the press conference, they also have confirmed reports about building branches in Eastwood City, Tagaytay City which will also have different themes. So if you're a fan of Ken or just love Christmas, you've got several places to go this year as they expand CAFE CLAUS in Mega Manila. They also have plans to put up one in nearby provinces, pretty soon in Visayas and Mindanao too. I suggest you get the Roast Chicken and Lasagna which is such a hit with regulars at Cafe Claus. They have mean cakes and pastries too that's not too sweet because they do use sugar free options too (perfect for diabetics like me). For those who would want to visit, just go to Greenhills Promenade and find them at the center right at the side of the escalator from the cinemas. Thank you to the super nice people at Cafe Claus Greenhills Promonade, I'll be back there real soon!
