LEE MIN HO Celebrates SM65 with SMDC

The good guys from SMDC (SM Development Corporation) celebrated SM's 65th Year with the one and only Asian superstar Lee Min Ho. At the SMX Convention Center, patrons of SMDC, executives, guests and media were treated to an evening with the good looking guy through several interactive games, and SMDC property laden promotions throughout the show. They also showcased properties like Glam, Gold, Sands and Sail.

The event was also hosted by Sam Oh, so the conversation with Lee Min Ho was quite nice since she could translate fast and connect with Tagalog during the interview portion. Though trying to be formal, she was a tad fangirling with Lee Min Ho, she couldn't help it because he was just that good looking.

SMDC President Jose Mari Banzon went up the stage and welcomed everyone then said "To our investors, media partners and guests, good evening. We are celebrating something special, the 65th anniversary of SM and the birthday of Henry Sy Sr. We are thrilled to share to be the Developer of the Year this 2023. In our newest campaign step into luxury, we put in the forefront the premium designs, and our endorser Lee Min Ho. Let us build dreams, thank you and enjoy the evening!"

Lee Min Ho on the Up Close and Personal portion said "I am excited to be here, after we all survived the pandemic I can see you in person now. It's an honor for me to be part of this brand SMDC, they've been in the business for 65 years and that says a lot. Of course having a dream home means we work with people that are professionals, that's SMDC."

Here are snippets from the event last night. Thank you to SMDC for letting us cover Lee Min Ho's tour in Manila. It's super fun to see him enjoy the intimate evening with not just SMDC patrons, but his fans who have loved him for years. Good thing is he acknowledges that, and he knows the same people who supported him since he was promoting Boys Over Flowers back in the days are still the same ones in the event. Can't wait to see him in new projects which he teased a bit in the program. Be back in the Philippines soon LMH!

Lee Min Ho's Gangnam Blues

Watched the premier of Gangnam Blues this evening and I'm literally writing this right after we went out of the theater. It's premier was shown in a special theater called Sine Asia that will only be seen in select SM Cinemas.  

They tagalized the whole film and it was quite long at approximately 2 and a 1/2 hours long of how the Gangnam district came about. Although characters and situations were fictitious, I think there's a huge connection between this film and how Gangnam is being perceived by the South Koreans today. Anyway, Lee Min Ho was absolutely brilliant. His co star too. I won't suggest this be seen by teens and think this should have had at least an R rating. There are body parts seen, like you know.

Anyway, this Sine Asia project of SM and Viva International would really be a good venue to see more Asian films from Thailand, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This premiere was a huge success and of course, I think the fans loved it a lot. It's PG 16 right now and if your parents come with you, you should watch it. Do not watch this without adult supervision. 

The other films lined up though especially the one by Chow Yun Fat was really funny, I'd watch that too. As for watching Gangnam Blues, it's totally worth it. A bit tragic though. I don't wanna spoil anything so I'm a little careful now.

Lee Min Ho for Kyo Chon Philippines

I love Korean Fried Chicken. It's the way they prepare it, the way they cook the chicken and the way they have their endorsers here in the Philippines. The brand is currently expanding aggressively in the country but has almost a 1000 stores in Korea. It looks like Pinoys are now being more adventurous when it comes to food, and they see us as a huge market. Basically, they're just giving us what we want!

They're already in the USA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and USA. Kyo Chon wants us to have the healthiest fried chicken possible so they're using the freshest ingredients, healthy canola oil, and brush those wings, thighs, legs with their special sauce before frying to perfection, no rush so they get the full flavor. They don't use MSG too which is a good thing, if they're chickens taste good already without that, imagine how painstakingly they do it in the kitchen to make it this good.

I wasn't able to go to this event because of other commitments but I wasn't going to let this pass because as we know, Lee Min Ho is here! I got my Minoz friend to take photos of the event, so if you enjoy Kyo Chon's food, you'll even enjoy their endorser, right Oppa?!

Lee Min Ho will also be starring in Gangnam Blues that will be shown on theaters tagalized since Viva and SM has co produced its release here. Watch it in specialty Asian Theaters in major SM Malls come March. Aside from that, he'll still be endorsing a lot of products in the Philippines and perhaps we're all going to have a chance to meet him in a bigger gathering real soon. I hope the Minoz find this one exciting reason to go to Kyo Chon Restaurants in Metro Manila. Come and get the best Korean Fried Chicken which they warn is highly addictive.
