MANO PO LEGACY Moved to New Timeslot

Thursday, February 03, 2022

Talking to the cast was really an opportunity to see how these actors and actresses prepare for their role and know how they do it. True enough, people have been raving about the performances of Maricel Laxa, Sunshine Cruz, Barbie Forteza and the whole cast.

As Maricel Laxa says. "It's not hard to actually do it because you've got a supportive cast, excellent people behind the scenes that would make you think it's easy to execute the character."

David Licauco says "At first it was intimidating but when I started to talk to them, it was easy. The script is actually good so it was easy to do because you would know how their character moves or do in the story."

Here's our blog conference a few days ago, enjoy!

Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune cast also includes Rob Gomez, Nikki Co, Dustin Yu, Darwin Yu, Casie Banks, David Chua, Victor Basa, Ms. Boots Anson-Roa and a lot more.

And before we do go, they've changed their time slot as MANO PO LEGACY: The Family Fortune will be shown at 8:50pm starting February 7, so make sure you move your watching hours to that time because it's perfect after dinner no?

Happy Lunar New Year by the way!

Consider Watching "Chinoy: Mano Po 7"

Thursday, December 15, 2016

I've seen the movie a couple of days ago and it has exceeded my expectations. This is primarily a family drama, so you can expect conflicts from the parents with their children. Aside from that, the remarkable performance of Enchong Dee should be noted. He's a furball who you hate in one scene, then want to hug and caress on other scenes.

I have also been fascinated about the Marnella love team, I actually like them a lot. Although the movie didn't tackle so much about their relationship, it was cute and should be seen. There are going to be interesting conflicts between Janella and Kean Cipriano though that would be something of interest, but only adults should see it.

Richard Yap plays a cold father, so it would be interesting to see how he would handle his own problems, when he lived like that all his Chinoy life. They would explain why he is that way later on though. Ms. Jean Garcia was also on her element. She had to go through hardships and even got romantic with other men. How would a cold man resolve that? The movie will tell you.

Here's a short video interview with Enchong Dee right after the premier. Some snippets too. Enjoy!

I would really want you to watch this in theaters nationwide. Worthy to watch! Don't be afraid to cry though because you might just do that in some of the scenes especially with Jean Garcia.

CHINOY: Mano Po 7

Tuesday, December 06, 2016

They might have been snubbed during the MMFF but they're surely going to be an interesting to watch this December 14 in theaters nationwide. MANO PO 7 CHINOY is another installment of the famous "Mano Po"series under the Regal Films matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde and her dauhter Ms. Roselle Monteverde's outfit. This year, they got Filipino Chinese actor Richard Yap, Jean Garcia, Enchong Dee, Janella Salvador and Jana Agoncillo.

In this film, Richard Yap will play a very protective businessman that is always on his toes making sure all his Filipino Chinese ways would be followed by his family. We were actually in one of the scenes too where Enchong Dee who played the black sheep son, sunddenly went on a rampage while they were being introduced to the Chinoy community. This will tell you more about how most Filipino Chinese families in the Philippines still employ the same old chinese traditions but finds it difficult now that they are getting into relationships with Filipinos. They shot most of the scenes in Taiwan and will fulfill the promise of presenting how it causes family problems and rifts in modern times.

This is another powerful drama about a family that hopes for love, tries so hard to find how they could weather the hardships of culture and differences and still get the family together.
