Mikey Bustos On Health and Travel During the Pandemic

Singer, Actor and creator Mikey Bustos is indeed a jack of all trades. I've been watching his YouTube videos since xx years ago and just recently, he was able to travel locally and made us wish it was easy to go to Bohol. From making funny Filipino lessons and making parodies on his channel, he treats all these as part of the learning process which I think is amazing. It ain't easy to be successful on YouTube and Mikey is no stranger to bashing he receives online. Recently, he's also discussed that on the Vlog but he knew he had to make difficult choices he made because of the sheer amount of opportunities that has been given him. For starters, he made the move to the Philippines from Canada. He remarks “In order to be successful, you would need to take calculated risks because you can’t just throw all your chips in and wish for the best.”

De-stressing is also important for Mikey. He always see to it that he makes time for his other hobbies. Seeing him run a few kilometers in Mandaluyong City was becoming a pretty regular sight in his videos and he says “I've always wanted to get more exercise in my daily routine. I also go to thy gym a few times a week and do meditate in between. It helps in making sure I am mentally in shape."

Mikey makes sure that every time he goes out, he is prepared... so he brings out his masks, face shield, disinfectants, alcohol to minimize risks of exposure to the corona virus. Aside from that, he also carries his lip balm in case he needs to vlog or be seen on camera. Although, this good guy actually suffers from  "Banyo Phobia", and tries to stay away from using public toilets because of COVID. In case he needs to go or suffer with an upset stomach, he's got Diatabs around. It's the most trusted one in the country and yes, I have some too in my medicine cabinet for emergency purposes. Mikey knows this will give him peace of mind when he goes out to visit his new house location, the vet, the vacation spots he stayed in and the future ones he plans to go to.

That's nice to know! This is one of the reasons I am part of the Mabuhay Squad, he keeps it real :)

An Afternoon with Mikey Bustos and Chicharron ni Mang Juan!

You can't stop adoring him on his viral Youtube videos nor take away the fact that he's got to Canadian Idol as the First Filipino who made this feat! That guy is Mikee Bustos. Yes ladies and gentlemen I got the chance to interview him a couple of days ago; we asked about what he's doing, what his plans are and what he's busy with now that he's in the Philippines. Yeah you heard that right, if you have been living under a rock in the past few days... Mikey is here baby!

And he's got some great news to share with all of you!

It's about this crunchy, spicy, and oh SO ADDICTING snack you see in the photo. One bite and you'll immediately get that flavor you get from eating everyone's favorite CHICHARRON but the catch is... it doesn't have those fats and calories you get from it. I said WHAAAT?! Can this be real?!

Well to tell you honestly I've already tasted the original one before; and am still an avid fan of it. What surprised me most is the healthy benefits of munching this PINOY snack. Plus the fact that Mikey Bustos is endorsing it, and that by all means is great news!

Ms. Sheryl Bergado and the fabulous people from Universal Robina Corporation introduced to us Chicharron ni Mang Juan and its different flavors. Espesyal Sukang Paombong, Espesyal Suka't Sili and the new one which is Spicy Sisig! All that great Pinoy Pork Rind goodness without the guilt because its made from dehydrated Green Pea based ingredients flavored with vinegar bases that Filipinos absolutely love! Now it's so easy to just grab and bite on these things without even dipping them and making your fingers smelly LOL!; because they've already done it for you! Now isn't that too easy?! :)

Mikey was so nice, he even showed us a couple of songs he did for Canadian Idol. Oh boy oh boy Mikey Bustos can DEFINITELY sing! Check out this video, all serious songs! I was waiting for some tutorials but this is WAAAAYY better!

See?! He's a very talented lad with a very promising career in the Philippines. He'll be staying a couple more days to do a couple of shows and appearances so watch out for that! It'll be a blast I tell you!

Oh and there's this awesome interactive web musical that I've told you about where Mikey will also be playing a lead from. It's called Prison Dancer and oh boy it's something amazing!

Imagine this production, the dance numbers, the songs they'll be singing... for sure Mikey's dream of Filipino World Domination will come true! I also heard from the grapevine that he'll be appearing in some US shows pretty soon. Now how's that for a show exclusively on Youtube?! :)

From hereon, you will never look at Chicharron the same way again. It's going to be Mang Juan for every Juan! You better get your hands on them so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the 12 webisodes coming out in Spring 2012!
