Shaina Magdayao’s Organized Chicas Does More COLORS!

Friday, December 16, 2022

During the pandemic, Shaina Magdayao launched lifestyle brand Organized Chicas who's products mostly was white canvas Totes, Bags and organizers. It did really good and she was so happy how her clients, and fans were able to enjoy the wide range of products that they have despite the threats of the pandemic.

Summer will soon be here and people are clamoring for more variety, so what better way to do it buy by launching a new collection called Colore (that's got more ruffles, ribbons and bows).

Shaina says "I didn't know how long I was in the industry, but 25 years is really a long time. It's so nice to celebrate it with people you love in the industry. It's a different kind of fulfillment especially this year, and it's like a birthday wish come true. Going back in ASAP also was just perfect timing, it was an extension of my celebration, it's been 25 years that people are supporting me and I wouldn't be here without Star Magic. I am thankful for the people who really took care of us. I feel it was just perfect to go back in ASAP, they saw me lost weight, I needed to do something about my hypothyroidism and focused on being an actress. I didn't feel the loss, I feel what I lost when I got on stage and danced again. I was wondering if I could do things again, I asked myself a couple of times. I'm aging, when I was younger I could juggle things, but I'm 33, being fit enough was something I worry about. It was a leap of faith. I sometimes doubt myself but I get a lot of support from people around me. I didn't train in dance, but experience was my teacher. I've been trying to run away from it in the past, but this is my life."

She now has accessories, jewelry (Perola Collection) and slip ons

She adds "Yes I'm wearing our accessories, it's been a goal to support local businesses. The people I work with are mostly women, I put this up with my childhood friend, who's now pro makeup artist. I asked her if she wanted to look for a gig, so we started with bags made in Bulacan. I didn't expect how it grew overnight. Now people are asking for more, so we made clothes from Pampanga, also Footwear made in Marikina. Those little things we do have grown because I believe we have good intentions. Here we are, we've got a brand that not just weathered the pandemic, but a brand that is good commercially now. We do quality control, durability tests, doesn't have to be expensive. My partner is also OC, so she does a lot in quality control. We are helping a lot of people and made this a business too. I don't know if our clientele wants it personalized, but I think it gives more value to it."

They also now have a more feminine looking bag styles with their Frill Collection. This was done to match the different personalities of their clientele. She thinks about naming the products, the design, and her business partner is someone she trusts, who knows her and takes care of quality control. They really align business wise. She has work, she has acting jobs, and this business has really grown over the years.

The business is also helping communities from Marikina, Pampanga, Bulacan so if you are buying from them, you are also helping women from these provinces and cities. If you want to get one, visit their official IG account @organizedchicas, their Facebook page facebook.com/organizedchicas. Happiness with Red Ribbon Mocha Roll

Saturday, January 31, 2015

Happiness. It's one word to define you - when something surprising, something unexpected happens, it just brings enormous joy. This is what happened to me a few days ago when I received this box of Red Ribbon cake. It's the Filipino go to food when they want something comforting no matter what occasion that is. For birthday parties, baptismals, graduation or just simply hanging out with friends, the moment just becomes so special when there's a cake in the mix. That sweet start or end to your meal just tastes immeasurable, I could have sworn it's the person who gave me this that mattered but aside from that, it's the CAKE... it's the Red Ribbon Mocha Roll in fact!

Red Ribbon Mocha

When I opened the box, I thought I was going to see the usual Mocha Cake I buy from them. This looks to me like they've improved a lot in the looks department. The buttery icing which was formerly decorated on top seems to have been substituted alternately with super rich, earthy milk chocolate with fragrant mocha, chocolate, coffee and caramel tones. The top is also drizzled with a generous helping of caramel syrup... then all you can do is take a slice. Mmmm... I carefully placed it on a small plate and sat down on the table - having my moment to taste this wonderful piece of heaven!

Red Ribbon Mocha

It's available in all Red Ribbon Bakeshop branches nationwide and can be ordered in half or full Mocha Roll sizes. You can even have it delivered to your home for a fee if you can't take the time to go rush to the store. It's that convenient. I know you love Red Ribbon just like me, it's affordable, it's not too sweet and it's so easy to have on those special occasions. I'd love to share this also with my family, not just on special days, but even on a regular one so we can bond, take a moment to enjoy, indulge in lovely cake anytime of the day, wherever, or whoever I celebrate it with. Bring a box of Red Ribbon when you go to your friends house (especially me), and I'll surely appreciate it! It's my favorite of course!

In Tune For Education: Red Ribbon, Apl.de.Ap Foundation and Franklin Baker Company's Macaroons For A Cause!

Friday, July 12, 2013

Macaroons. One of my favorite desserts in the whole world! I've been seeing some of these in the shelves of my favorite bakeshop Red Ribbon. I never knew it would mean a lot for other people. I never knew it would mean a lot for the education of young Filipino kids in places like Zamboanga, the whole of Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao... especially Metro Manila where the population explosion has greatly affected how we live life. Little did we know, these Macaroons would be part of the solution.

Mom to cute Cooper, host and radio DJ Delamar Arias knows first hand why education is important. There was a Manobo native who wished to study, ventured out to Manila and worked hard to earn a diploma. It was hard to do this in Mindanao because of the lack of opportunities. It was also unheard for to do this in that region. He succeeded, had a family and 5 kids. One of those kids is Delle. She wouldn't be where she is now without her Dad doing this in the first place. That opportunity should be available to every Filipino, but it's not. Red Ribbon, Apl.de.Ap Foundation and Franklin Baker Company made head way and got the best thing to benefit kids. They will build more schools starting in southern Philippines. It should start making their lives better.

Red Ribbon's executives find this as an important synergy of companies, individuals and organizations who wanted change. They wanted to pull up their resources and make this a project that could sufficiently do it for a long time. That's where they decided that whenever someone purchases Macaroons from their bakeshop, a portion of it goes to funding the Apl.de.Ap Foundation's projects which builds schools in some of the most remote places in the country.

The Franklin Baker Corporation supplies the luscious dessicated coconut that is found in all of Red Ribbon macaroons. Their world class products not only appear in Red Ribbon but also other companies around the world. This particular cause didn't escape their radar and they see this as an opportunity to give back to the community. She might look foreign to you guys but her Mom is actually Filipina. She takes pride in this lineage and knows she wants to get back and help the same people and country where her Mom came from. A noble gesture indeed.

We all know Apl de Ap. Aside from being one of the Black Eyed Peas, he's an inspiration to us Filipinos. He was born and raised here and had a very colorful life.

Seeing him talk so passionately about his cause and saw his hunger to help the less fortunate. It has touched me in so many ways. He wants to help. Through this cause, a part of the purchase of these Macaroons will go to Apl de Ap Foundation which will build schools and provide education in some of the most remote areas in the country. He appreciates the help of both Red Ribbon and Franklin Baker but the real job starts now. We must ask our friends, relatives and other individuals to get these special Macaroons so we can continue to build more as the years come. They are spearheading this project called Macaroons for a cause. These guys need your help. The next time you visit a Red Ribbon branch, make sure you grab one of these bags so you can do your share in alleviating poverty and give the right of education for our less fortunate kababayans. It's our time to care!
