Mazda Sponsors UAAP Live Games!

Tuesday, June 03, 2014

It looks so good from where I'm standing. I was dwarfed by the likes of Arnold Van Opstal from DLSU Green Archers, FEU Tamaraw's Cris Tolomia and my current favorite Chief UE Red Warrior Roi Sumang. I'm a Warrior too and I watch UAAP games regularly. It's the University of the East's turn to also host the games so this year is a pretty big deal for me. My alma mater is gunning for the championship for the longest time and this is a welcome development to make these guys, Ateneo's Thirdy Ravena, UST's Aljon Mariano (who was busy with games and was not here during the presscon) be the face of Mazda during this season. Best of all, I love the color since it's all RED! :)

They'll be driving to and from the games with a brand new spanking MAZDA 3 SKYACTIV. I already had a hunch they were going to be partners when I saw these guys in the venue that evening. Now if that isn't a great ride, I don't know what is...

The Mazda3 Skyactiv has great fuel efficiency and increased engine output. It's part of the Mazda technology that boasts of new engines, accurate transmissions, new design, body and chassis. The 155 HP SKYACTIV-G has a 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder engine and you can choose between SKYACTIV-MT 6-speed manual transmission or SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission. Either way, you'll get the best out of Mazda technology and drive a better, bolder car from their shops.

"It's very dynamic and perfect for the persona of these athletes. Seeing them driving these Mazda3 Skyactiv cars would be something like a match made in heaven and that's why we're excited to work with UAAP this season 77. You'll see us in fastbreaks, best plays and more segments during the live coverage. You can count on that!" says Steven Tan the President and CEO of Berjaya Auto Philippines.

There's more than one way to celebrate the UAAP Season 77 and they've made it so much better with the Mazda3 Skyactiv. I wonder if they'll lend me one so I don't have to use public transport going to and back from the games. That's surely going to be very classy and sporty haha! Just joking! Anyway, you know where to check these cars out when you need to. Check the channels below badabing badaboom!
