Skincare YouTube Channel Launched: LUMINISCE by Dr. Kaycee Reyes

When skin and preventive medicine advise ain't reachable because of the pandemic, we find ways to get in touch with the experts. In fact, she's reaching out to you now via her own YouTube channel Dr. Kaycee Reyes, founder of famed Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations.

I've witnessed a few friends and went to her clinic in BGC a few years ago, and I've seen really remarkable change in their skin. Her new YouTube channel is going to be more on programs about skincare and talk about how you can take good care of it with your family. You'll see her giving advice, including celebrities like the Legaspi twins, Carmina Villaruel and Zoren Legaspi. Of course, there are regular joes like you and me who may be featured in the show so don't hesitate to subscribe if you're interested in the topic. See how an expert does it especially if you're looking for skin solutions, hair too.

Doc Kaycee says "I'm a skin doctor, I pursued preventive medicine and cosmetic surgery in Germany. I appreaciate you being here today. 9 years ago, I didn't know we would be this big. The idea of being beautiful inside out is honestly difficult especially with the heightened stress we get because of the pandemic. We are reaching to patients so they could reach their goals. We started with online consultation, treatments in the clinic and send it to homes. Patients have loved it and now we're releasing 10 more treatments from Luminisce and products. Health is wealth, there's no one pill that can cure everything, but prevention is definitely better than cure. We also launched SOL REVIVE, mobile on wheels, to do preventive care. These are aesthetic treatments that can be scheduled and arranged with patients. The YouTube channel is also launching today, episodes will come out in the next few weeks. We hope you get to see it soon! I believe YouTube is still in its infancy, so we're testing how to reinvent ourselves in the channel. Innosense.ph (Innosense Organics) is also a health food store curated by Dr. Kaycee Reyes. It's part of the preventive medicine procedures, so we don't progress to diseases. Diabetes, depression, negative life events, it is activated by lifestyle choices. The food that we eat should not induce inflammation, nor should it be harmful food. We need a reset and be mindful how we could prevent it. We need to lessen toxicity, and prevent the activation of certain diseases. We need to age gracefully and Dr. Kaycee will take care of part of that as well. 

 

The first episode on the YouTube channel will include the Villaruel-Legaspi family. They've been with Luminisce for 6-7 years already as patients, they're very kind and have always given a very positive personality. Carmina, Zoren, Mavy and Cassy have had different skin conditions, they come once a month previously, but since they couldn't go to the clinic, they're given kits once a month so they would be able to take care of their skin even at the comforts of their home. There will be a few more episodes in the pipeline including aesthetics, preventive medicine, mental health, life in the pandemic, things that you could learn from so you become a better individual inside out. Good Desserts at Meet Fresh Podium

If you're in the Ortigas-Mandaluyong area and looking for unique desserts, you might wanna try this joint called Meet Fresh. It's at the 5th Floor of the Podium mall at the back of Megamall. Honestly, I was expecting it much to be like Ice Kacang which the Tsino-Malaysians enjoy but this is more of a Taiwanese treat which they brought in for Filipinos to enjoy.

The place can seat around 30, all separate chairs in front with an Express counter on the side. They had tons of guests, but serving time was ample on regular days. I visited it again a few days ago and quality didn't go down after opening the joint a few months ago.

I ordered the Cold Tofu Pudding, Milk Tea with Pudding, Mung Bean Cakes and Peanut Mochi Combo. Everything was so good especially the Peanut Mochi which I had to order more of. The Cold Tofu Pudding comes a close second because it reminds me of cold soy milk/ chilled Taho which I often drink or consume since I was a kid. The mixture of beans and mochi on some of the items on their menu felt ingenious! You're bound to say "Why didn't I think of that?!" a couple of times. Even though we don't have a similar version of these in the Philippines, our halo-halo seems a bit close sans the fruits. 

They've got milk teas and other flavored drinks but for me, it's better to stick with the best sellers because it's a little pricey, but definitely good for sharing. Ask them if you need extra bowls because they can do that on a whim.

MEET FRESH is at the 5th Floor of the PODIUM Mall in Ortigas Center. They are open mall hours, and is self service.

I haven't been to a Filipino movie since a few months ago when I was actually forced to watch that corny comedy film (that will remain unnamed), I felt it was a product of run of the mill hype and I didn't like it. I felt like I lost hope in the film industry. A few days ago, we were invited to attend the premier of Overtime, a film directed by Wincy Ong and Earl Ignacio under GMA Films. I didn't expect much because of the previous one I watched, I just don't like films that are not well thought out. This however surprised me (genre wise) and the rest of the people who watched it that evening, I'll tell you why.

Other stars such as the gorgeous Thea Tolentino, good looking and tall Juancho Trivino, crooner Mikoy Morales and the stunning Ms. World and sister to the lead star of this film Megan Young was also there showing their support.

Without spilling any beans on the story, Overtime is about a hacker terrorizing a lady at work. He doesn't believe in their cause, nor does he think they are doing the right thing. The beginning of the story delves around establishing their relationship first. The exhilarating and suspense filled sequences followed (when he wanted to do something about where Jody works) then a dollop of comedy antics hit every turn (a must see is Bearwin Meaily and Mitch Valdez). We thought we were watching a different movie because it wasn't a full suspense film anymore but more of a dark comedy. I haven't seen anything made that way in Philippine cinemas so that alone is a good thing. Other than that, Richard would be totally different that even if you are a fan... you'll hate and curse at him a bit. That's how good he is. Lauren too did so good, she also registers so gorgeous on screen. It's like an indie film to tell you honestly because they did experiment quite a bit. The plot could have had minor adjustments to make it real but I think it worked out pretty well for their purpose. The story is fast paced and we did attentively listen to it. It's not boring. You'll be at the edge of your seats on some instances and turn blue on some very deadly but funny scenes. You have to find out what I'm talking about by watching it this July 2nd on cinemas nationwide!
