Fun Finds at Estancia Summer Toy Fest!

Friday, May 03, 2019

When I found out that a toy fair was happening at Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons, I took the road less traveled and tagged along my blogger friends too. I'm up for nostalgia so when I heard they were having some items from my generations sold, I took the chance and found some good deals this side of town.

There were probably a little over thirty merchants and collectors who joined the Summer Toy Fest, they were laid out on the bridge way of the mall and occupied one space on the left side for a full Tamiya Race Track where competitions were held.

This wasn't a small production because they also had Iron Man and Thanos appear for mall goers. They had 50% of the mall audience taking selfies for posterity. Maybe they'll live to see it on social media. Kids had so much fun!

I had a few things in my mind, Dragon Ball Z memorabilia was abound and the Goku, Klilyn and Vegetta Lego pieces were so awesome to see!

Lest we forget the one who started it all, Master Roshi taught Goku and Kililyn martial arts, but had them work for it when they were kids. Naughty but he did good in the recent inter universe tournament eh?

Ms. Kris Aquino should have attended the event because she'll love the Carebear stuff being sold for cheap in one or two stalls.

They also had something good for Hotweels collectors, huge trucks which are not so commonly sold in malls these days.

When I saw this rack in one of the stalls, I knew I had to have em all! Well I could see some MegaMan, Super Mario, Digdug keychains that only cost 50 pesos each, got them and put it on my bag so it wouldn't look boring. It did the job, you'll see later!

Since it is Avengers season, it's the right time to buy DC toys because they will be relatively cheaper, I was looking for unique Batman toys too but most of it was already in my boxes at home. They have the whole Justice League for 500 though. Good deal for collectors.

Nostalgia was provided by Plastic Man, if you don't know what that cartoon is, ask your older parents or friends, they are going to tell you how popular these were in the 80's.

One of my favorite things to see was Slimer, made of retromutagen ooze, he still eats a lot in Ghostbuster movies.

If you're not fond of heroes, you can get Joker or Penguin. Don't worry if they provide nightmares because Batman will surely save you!

I went home with a pretty good set of keychains on my back, too bad not a lot of folks know who or what these characters represent, because if you were a gamer during my time (I felt old saying that lol) you'll love how cute these things are now while hanging on my boring black leather backpack.

Make sure you check out events in Ortigas and Co. malls like Estancia, Robinson's, or Greenhills because as soon as they put out their toys for sale, you're sure to get some pretty good bargains.

Just look at my haul, you can't find much of that in commercialized events these days! Thanks to Estancia Mall and to the people behind this event, I got my stuff easy!

DC Girls, Justice League in Mc Donalds Happy Meal Part 2

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Okay, so this is kinda Part 2 of the DC Girls Justice League post I had here. For your viewing pleasure, I got these toys and took photos of them so you know what you're getting in every box of Mc Donalds Happy Meal. I had so much fun with the Batman figure which you already read in my first post, now enjoy the other cast members which you can still get at til the end of March.

Zoom up down left or right, look up on the sky and it's Supergirl. You can comb her hair while doing those action stunts and still make her look pretty while battling the forces of evil.

You can't say it's a Justice League pose without Hawkman in the group. Let him spread his wings and fly through your room and still get through tight spaces because it folds back.

Nobody could do it like Wonder Woman, so stay away monsters because she'll hit you back when you hurt this Amazon woman. You should also tell the truth because she's got her trusty Magic Lasso on her belt. She'll know if you lied.

Swoosh and swoosh and swoosh with real sound with this Superman toy. Just turn on the switch on his side and you'll hear him swoosh by when you move him around. I would have loved him but he's no Batman :)

If you want to dress up just like Hawkman, you can use these Hawkman glasses just for kicks. I look awesome in it right?

Okay I look silly wearing the Wonder Woman Head Band but it can keep my hair off my face quite well. It does the job especially for kids with long hair LOL

Supergirl also did lend us her Supergirl Headband. Now no more hair going to your face while talking to people. If it fits me, it'll fit any head I'm sure because my head is too big, I have a big brain LOL

For those of you who would want to get this, it's available in all Mc Donald's stores nationwide. Just ask them what they have on stock because some of these are probably gone already especially Batman and Superman.

Have a happy day!

BEN10 and My Litttle Pony and Friends for McDonald's Happy Meal

Saturday, March 12, 2016

I was so happy to have been able to catch these toys from Mc Donald's Happy Meals! Aside from collecting the pieces I want, I also love how diverse they are in coming out with the toys these days. For the boys, they had popular Cartoon Network mainstay BEN10.

This one has a switch in the back which if you turn on lights up the Omnitrix on Ben's wrist. Now he can turn into different alien forms just by pressing it.

This one can be stretched and formed in different ways. That goes the same with his ears, tail, while he's standing. I'm quite familiar with the older aliens but these are probably new, which is a good thing as the characters are updated.

This one shoots lava thingys and can pack a mean punch right? When you flick off the switch in his back, his arms turn and flap if you want to pit him against other monsters in the show.

The best thing is, you can also opt for this Omnitrix that shoots out alien cards at a flick of the switch. Your kids can have it worn like a watch and get to choose what alien form they'd like to be next!

I haven't really seen the latest My Little Pony and Friends show so this was a little surprising. I thought they were like plain horses but apparently they're like humans now and had a clinging to very long hair and wings. If you can see, the one on her waist is actually more hair. It even comes with it's own comb so girls would be able to use it on these cute little creatures during playtime!

They also are available in different colors, so little girls can start dreaming.

This was the prettiest one I think. Her golden blonde hair reminds me of Elle Woods, but in cute horse form. Don't they remind you of Pegasus?

Mc Donald's has always been the well loved by kids and the not so kids anymore. I heard they now have the new movie Kung Fu Panda offered in every Happy Meal so I'm sure the next time you're headed to a McDonald's branch near you, you'll order these for your kids! It's like hitting two birds with one stone. You get yummy meals like burgers, chicken nuggets, fries and drinks then have the option to choose your own toy in every McDonalds Happy Meal!

I'm happy!
