Branding can make or break a product; and I have been engaged in the industry for several years now. Making each part of a manufactured product feel like something at the back of your hand is one of the key goals in making a successful marketing campaign. This calls for a major information overload, brainstorming and logo designing activities so if they see it visually they would recognize your brand immediately. This has been done by a lot of successful corporations and why wouldn't we be part of that success right?! Making all the effort to have that name recall each time your product is needed indicates success among other things. I would love to do the same to all my sites too. I've had quite a few running now.
With little technical knowhow on design and aesthetics it would be proper to have someone make it for me. I've seen quite a lot and one of them out there like LOGOMOJO.COM that makes these things professionally. Imagine how easy it is to whip up a logo of my own and get all the rest settled in. There are a lot of them out there but those who definitely stick to your memory are the unique and good ones. Branding takes a lot of stuff which also includes having images to represent you and your planned organization. I'm so glad things like these are easier since there are professionals who can do it pretty much every day of the week. Have you branded your sites? What is the single thing that you would want to get your sign recognized with? Have you ever planned something spontaneous like a marketing strategy like this?! Let me know!

Building a New Website!
Thursday, February 17, 2011
My photography career seem to have climbed up a notch after getting breaks here and there after my stint/workshop from a famous fashion photographer based in New York. I wouldn't say otherwise because I know I have been blessed. Gigs have been surfacing here and there for me and I'm getting really busy even on a weekend - which is normally a non working day for me. I want to put up media that would be able to show off my portfolio but I probably would be better off and just build a business website with my name as domain. Making one with institutions like Market Juice would make everything easy and if it materializes it would be easy to maintain everything. I don't need to add something to my currently "busy" life that would cause me to worry more. I'm gunning for something very low maintenance and easy to fix if I need to update it. I also need something that would be at par as far as design is concerned since I am in an industry where first impression matters.
This is my niche and I have been working on this craft for a few years now. I've obviously gained experience and a lot of other things that I need to have in order to be successful in this business. I hope with each step I take from here on it would be to advance my hobby turned career which is definitely not in the comfort zone. I will succeed if I make the right choices early on and building an impressive; professional looking web site would be one of them! Wish me luck!

Word Press Essentials
Sunday, February 08, 2009
I've come across word press sites and I like their system too. Not that I'm badmouthing my host site but it’s definitely a different world. Anybody could tell the difference because if you are a novice like me then you’re probably stuck with this. Word press has come a long way as far as freedom in template design and user induced content. Comments are also important so they went ahead and put up higher filters so spam messages could be eliminated. Aside from that, they have gone ahead of the pack limiting the advertising content of the host which is not being done on other host sites.
There are also numerous sites where you can get word press themes so you can customize the look of your website. If you plan to purchase your own domain then doing this particular task would be nice if you plan to cater to a larger audience. You must always remember though that commercial wordpress themes are very expensive these days and would probably cost you around $60 to $90. There are some that offer it for free so you should definitely try them out. Web site creators also freely want you to modify their template and you can choose from a variety of colors. Try http://www.freethemelayouts.com and check out the latest word press themes and JOOMLA templates which they have readily available online.
