Buffalo Wild Wings Introduces “Football Field Pizza”

Wednesday, February 24, 2021

My personal choice in pizza lies on the actual toppings of it. I need meat, lots of cheese, a few veggie bits and a couple rounds of beer with it. There are tons out there but only a few are good, some of them landed in Buffalo Wild Wings. They're aptly called Football Field Pizza following the restaurants theme and why not if you see them this long, which reminds me of those college matches and superbowl numbers they do in the field.

I bet you, your family and friends would fancy 18 inch pizzas with flavors like BBQ Chicken, Three-Meat, Four-Cheese or the Quatro Combi. Some of these of which are also lathered in their signature Buffalo Wild Wings’ BBQ Sauce with toppings like grilled chicken, peppers, onions, mozzarella, cheddar cheese (for the BBQ Chicken Pizza). The Three Meat has pepperoni, smoked bacon, grilled chicken, mozzarella and some sharp pecorino cheese to complement it. The Four-Cheese Pizza on the other hand has mozzarella, funky bleu cheese, cheddar, feta, green onions, plus their Buffalo Wild Wings’ signature dry rub chipotle so you get a spicy kick. If you and your friends can't decide what to get, simply say Quatro Combi Pizza so they can give you parts of the pizza that has all Three-meat, Four Cheese and Margarita Pizza ingredients combined. Just telling you these flavors made my mouth water, but surely, these would be a hit in your homes if you plan to take it out for home parties. That's a nice idea eh?

If you fancy more, get the Buffalo Wild Wings’ or the boneless chicken wings which are available in different flavors (my fave is still Buffalo and Chipotle or the Carribean Jerk). They also have mean burgers, so order more! You can get more information about what's on their menu via Buffalo Wild Wings on FB or @bwwingsph on Instagram.

They're darn good!

Serving Your 24hr Wing Fix at Chix R US - Wings and Things

Tuesday, January 05, 2021

I've been craving for wings after the holidays and yes, I've found a place that does it 24/7. I work at night so if I skipped dinner and need to eat at these hours, I need them to deliver at my house without any worries. They're a pretty new brand, but I had to have my wing fix because I haven't had this for a long time because of obvious reasons, we're all under lock down because of the pandemic.

The brand sports a very happy rooster, so that's assuring. Their selling point? Variety. They don't actually just sell wings, they have other things on the menu like Chicken Tenders and Karaage. I like my wings just the way it is but if you've got family members that prefer things without bones, the Tenders and the Karaage is a mighty good alternative.

For the chicken Tenders, they got it on Salted Egg flavor. If you're more on the protein intake, you'll be glad they have tenders so you don't have to fuzz about having to remove bones on your chicken piece. It has a nice spicy kick. Prepare a bit of drink of course to loosen the lips. Chicken and beer sounds like a good idea. Size is about the length of a breast slice, comes in several pieces too. They have it in 6-12-18 and 24 for this cut, same as the wings.

My Karaage came in on a Korean Glazed flavor. It's crispy breaded chicken balls rolled in a very Asian inspired sauce. It has that soy gingery flavor, pretty legit. I would suggest you get this or the original, I think you get to appreciate it more in those flavors. But again, that's just my preference. If you would like it in other flavors, they've got Teriyaki, Honey Garlic, Garlic Parmesan, Buffalo (another favorite of mine), Buffalo Extreme (for the stronger kind LOL), Peri Peri, Alabama White and Honey Sriracha. This comes in 5-10-15 and 20 piece packages.

If you fancy wings like I do, I got the Whiskey Barbecue. It's got that sweet savory thing on it, I'd honestly have it as is. But you know what, you can actually have it with rice too. They also had it delivered hot that I couldn't touch it initially, but after a few minutes, it was good and they also got me plastic gloves so I could chow down immediately.  I finished it in a flash and yes, I actually wanted seconds. Though I think I could really have it on other days because now, I know how accessible it is.

Apart from the chicken, they've also got dips for it like Bleu Cheese, Sriracha Mayo or Garlic Aioli. They also have Spaghetti, Carbonara, or sides of thick cut or curly fries, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and mozzarella sticks. See what I told you about variety? Well if that ain't enough, they're very affordable too. So if you're craving for wings anytime of the day, go call them at 0922 879 9264 or their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ChixRUs.

Now go get that wing fix now! It's pretty good.

Sweet Ecstasy Opens in Uptown Parade BGC

Monday, July 04, 2016

There's a new place in BGC that some of you should visit. If you're a fan of Sweet Ecstasy in Cubao a few years back (which unfortunately has closed already), they've been aggressively opening other branches already all over Metro Manila. This one however is situated very near Valkyrie in BGC. The complex is called Uptown Parade and this is their third branch after Regis Center in Katipunan, and Jupiter Street in Makati. Honestly, I haven't been to Sweet X (which they fondly call it) so this is a first for me and their BGC Uptown Parade branch is a good place to find comfort food when it's a bit too traffic to go home. This place is owned by Ms. Gelli Victor, Monica Francesca (RX Jock) and their other partners. They know how much the district actually needs a place for hanging out before people actually go to the nearby clubs, and they present a very awesome refuge for wings, burgers and craft beers. Speaking of which, we ordered different ones just for kicks!

This one was a tad sweet, it felt like it wasn't alcoholic but the mean label says otherwise. Comes smooth, Azrael liked it!

Ted and I had the Sierra Madre Wheat Ale which was sort of a wheat based beer, it's surprisingly light but you'll still get buzzed if you had a couple of bottles.

Enzo liked the Fish Rider Pale Ale and I've already tasted this in other bars, it's quite nice for bar chows and a good conversation starter don't you think?
This one's their Buffalo Wings. I asked for their hottest one and this is what the person on the counter suggested to me. It was spicy yeah, got that kick but it was bearable. It's Tabasco so it was tangy and hot, but I wanted it more HOT and I think they've got off the menu items to solve that. Kindly ask them because I can't really put the words here because it's explicit haha!

For a milder feel, or flavor, they've got these mean wings too. They call it Sriracha Wings, as they've probably used the Thai hot sauce to fuel it. Pretty good!

This burger wasn't mine haha. It's Sweet Ecstasy's Cheeseburger. They would actually ask you to customize how you want your ONIONS to be made and Ted wanted it to be caramelized, looks good eh?! He says they did it right on the grill. They also use 100% pure beef for the patties and I could see they did that in the kitchen. I like it.

This was mine. I wanted it crunchy and pungent so I had my Sweet Ecstasy Cheeseburger with Fresh Onions. It's not date food I know, but it's that exact thing that makes it appealing to me. I wanted to taste the onions so I went with that.
Azrael also got a Sweet Ecstasy Cheeseburger but had the onions made grilled. As you can see it also got caramelized a bit and by the looks of it, he loved it too.
Sweet Ecstasy Uptown Parade officially opens its doors today. I've seen Marian Rivera, Jennylyn Mercado, Raymund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and a couple of other artists enjoy what they had that afternoon. Their prices? Not to worry because they're very affordable. You get premium quality burgers, wings and beers in this location and it's perfect before you party out in other establishments. Don't even think of drinking without eating something, that's totally unhealthy. But trust me on splurging with a burger, it helps heal your soul. These are X-citing times!
