I love Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia.
These two GMA stars are some of the most humble but fun artists I've ever laid eyes on. They don't have that star complex and they make it a point to do good in spite of their stature on show business and success in their home station. They look good and have quite tickled the fancy of teen fans all over the nation but they remain so humble despite of that.
A few weeks ago, I celebrated with them during a small charity event in Quezon City. They call this House of Refuge and the home takes care of homeless children, give them food, shelter and even education. Aside from that, they also have given them a chance to shine on their own talents. Some of the kids were really good singers, some were educated quite well and have ranked in their respective schools. Some of them though chose to be real good martial artists. They learned Wushu and have even earned gold medals in national tournaments. We were quite shocked to see how talented they were and somehow, that simple gift giving and entertainment activity became a showcase of what they can do with sheer determination.
Aside from that, we got to talk to these two. Here's our interview.
