Jericho Rosales and Bela Padilla for Luck at First Sight

Spent an afternoon watching the new movie of Jericho Rosales and Bela Padilla starrer LUCK AT FIRST SIGHT under Viva Films. Honestly I don't watch that much Filipino films because I often find them corny but I think it just needs one or two ingredients on it that could make it work, you just need good actors.

That's what Jericho and Bela is in the first place and doing the role of two troubled people with added problems like money, suddenly find themselves lucky at first... then lost everything again. What caused it will be seen developing in the movie and this romance between Jericho and Bela probably will convince you they're meant to be together. It's those small things that builtd up and make this romance believable. 

If you're in love or just hopeful, make sure you watch it on your favorite theaters soon! This will make your heart melt, and you'll be happy for them.

Felix Manalo's World Premier and Guinness World Record Attempt

We're in Ciudad Victoria in Bocaue Bulacan for the world premier and world record attempt for the largest audience for a film screening for Viva's Felix Manalo. The lead role of the INC Founder got into the hands of one of GMA's prime leading men Dennis Trillo. It's heavily supported by the sect Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) who's got quite a ton of members so they're assured of an audience already. Apart from that, this might be a good engine to tell the sect's story to the ordinary juan as it hits theaters this coming week. 

They weren't joking when they prepared for this as the Philippine Arena was almost full to the brim. I have to say, I'm not part of them and was just here to look at how the movie would fare in my pov. 

This is 3 years in the making, a film directed by Joel Lamangan. Stars include Xyriel Manabat, JC Parker, AJ Mulach, Alan Paule, Andrea Del Rosario, Carla Humphries, Jon Lucas, Mike Magat, Lloyd Samartino, Ruby Ruiz, Tony De Mesa, Ruru Madrid, Boy2 Quizon, Regine Angeles, Gladys Reyes (who was heavily cheered!), Gabby Concepcion, among others. Gladys quipped "This is it, at last, we will witness the premier of Felix Manalo. Thank you to all our brothers and sisters from different locales, and even those that are here to support our film, thank you so much!"

Dennis researched, believed and personified Felix Manalo and said they were well guided to do this role. He also wished people would get to watch the film not just today, but in the coming weeks when it comes out of theaters.

Nadine Lustre, noted Viva artist was also there to support the movie. 

Basil Valdez did Ngayon at Kailanman and Kastilyong Buhangin bringing nostalgia inside the venue. 

After the premier, the representatives from Guinness World Records confirmed there are about 3 more that will be broken today, the largest indoor screen, the largest crowd for a premier and the largest crowd for a Film Screening. This will make the existing 8 Iglesia ni Cristo world records into 11 by the end of the night.

As for the movie, it's a period film and production wise, it looks very well made. His childhood, the history of the Philippines in between his studies, of his stern and eager thirst for religion and it's understanding, was but very clear til his teen years.

You might get interested with it's origins, reasons for the lead actor's inquisitive state. In my understanding, it's a good watch if you're after the story but it could also make you question a lot of things if you're a little inquisitive too about your faith. Well, it can likewise be a tool for many things, the film can really make you think which is probably it's main purpose. Dennis did his job well, that alone made me watch this even if I'm not part of their sect. As for believing their religion, it's another story. Worthy to watch, I give it about a 7/10. I specifically didn't like the sepia treatment, some of the chroma war scenes, the manner of talk for me was also a tad bit unrealistic, I like the love angles (especially Bella Padilla who plays Honorata), the conflicts in faith would be a touchy thing to talk about but what this gives you is room to analyze if you're watching fact or fiction, because that's where you'll be the judge, like a personal judgement thing if you can say that. 

Felix Manalo starts showing on theaters this October 7, 2015. INC or not, watch it. It makes the named characters humane, and might make you understand why they are, who "they" are. It's complicated enough for you to make your own studies, might not be too simple to understand for ordinary individuals so like anything, take it with a grain of salt.

Watch it for Dennis Trillo, watch it for the story, but just like any other film, learn to analyze. I should also warn you it is a lengthy film at approximately 3hours. I believe this would be good for ages 13 and above so they could at least fend for themselves when they see it.

Bench Universe: The 2012 Denim and Underwear Show - Part 2

Hello there! It's time for part II of the BENCH UNIVERSE show! Since it's the birthday of Erich Gonzales today, what better way to make her happy but by seeing someone close to her heart! Naks! LOL

Okay, to continue... When the models went backstage, the whole place darkened and only blue lights was used mimicking water. The video in front showed the very first commercial of BENCH featuring Richard Gomez rowing in still waters. It was black and white... and won some awards back then. Then on top of the stage came out this same boat made of panels and lights as you can see below. Someone was rowing, I wonder who that is? =)

See those small things on the side? Those are actually cameras hovering, yeap it was so nice that I wanted one too hehe. The cameras were taking videos of someone, obviously we can see him already. He was almost at the end.

He stood up a little and then jumped off. Oh man it's Enchong Dee! =) See what I mean about a present for Erich? Hehe =)

Slowly he was lowered down from that boat. It was quite high so it took a few minutes.

Girls and gays were shrieking by this time. His body was wet, glistening like it had oil on it. He was sexy in all corners. I know that cable can't hold me like that (buti pa sya haha)!

As you can see, he's sculptured physique was evident. Sorry for the noisy photo though, this was a little far for my cam and Facebook isn't the best image host :)

I know, you are not the only one annoyed at those guys who used their IPAD's to take photos of him. A lot of people in my area were shouting at them haha.

Look at that guy on the mosh pit (nakanganga) hahah... I don't blame him though. Enchong Dee looks very good eh?!

I know my friend Angel would volunteer to wipe him dry LOL

Then after Enchong Dee went backstage, these guys started dancing. It was like a Jazz number with Ballet combined. They were flying!

Of course a couple of models passed by. =)

I like the blue green one worn by that guy above. (Pero honestly nahiya ako sa katawan ko haha)

Then these guys came together and went on the center of the stage to cover the door that went up because someone was about to make it a little hotter.

It was Diether Ocampo! =) Clad with a bike that he drove around with on the stage.

He was looking at the models, and their ass of course! LOL

He didn't take the jacket off. I think it was because he took it off yesterday, he wanted something different.

Uhmm I don't know her, can someone tell me who she is?(Update: @MrJimboy on Twitter told me she's Regine Angeles, she won in Be Bench a few years ago, not bad eh?!)

Now, ladies, I heard this became a little tad controversial. This is Kris Lawrence. But if you ask me I think it was genuine.

You can't get closer than that. Enuff said!

Well it looks like they are trying to do different patterns and treatments to white undergarments. Is this part of the underwear collection of Bench for this year? Lingerie? :)

Then comes Bella Padilla. I don't know that much about her projects. She's pretty though.

Okay, I know a LOT of people are waiting for this particular article because of these two. Now how's that for part II of this awesome BENCH UNIVERSE show? I'm sure you guys enjoyed seeing them strut the runways even if you are just in your own living room looking at your PC's, tablets, or phones. Actually, this isn't the end of it yet... YES! I'll be coming out with Part III pretty soon!
