foodpanda gets Nod at 2022 Marketing Excellence Awards

Looks like another laurel got placed in foodpanda's head as it just copped the Silver Award at the 2022 Marketing Excellence Awards. This is for their efforts on the recent campaign called #Cravingfor Emoji Engine which they ran on the Twitter platform last year. 

This was through the handy work of Entravision MediaDonuts (a partner agency) and is considered as one of three grand winners. This is under the Social Media Marketing category. foodpanda's Head of Integrated Marketing Communications Ms. Lorelei Olalia says "There are lots of food related talk on Twitter and it has helped foodpanda to reach our intended market." Entravision MediaDonuts being the ad arm of Twitter in the country provided needed awareness and engagement through their #OnlyOnTwitter format which gave foodpanda users the ability to get vouchers and see tons of partner restaurants they have on the app. This has also given them positive brand sentiments which is part of foodpanda's goal to build strong  relationships. 

Guilherme de Moura Porto the Director for growth of foodpanda Philippines thanks Entravision MediaDonuts Philippines and Marketing Interactive for the recognition and is optimistic that their partnership with Entravision MediaDonuts will bear more fruit in the coming years.

HYUN BIN: What You Should Know About Smart’s Campaign

Here is first hand information about Smart's Hyun Bin campaign talked about a few minutes ago  with Smart's executives. We had an announcement livestream just for the media.





Mr. Al Panlilio says "The new tagline #SimpleSmartAko is their promise to have technology available for every Filipino. To keep customers lives as simple as possible. During this time, we saw an opportunity and it allowed us to see the possibilities. We were fortunate we did it on the 12th. It happened on a zoom meeting. We talked to him. He was nice and very down to earth, we thanked him for endorsing the product. He learned tagalog, it was fun for the people there on the ground.

Ms. Jane Basas added "We asked ourselves "What is Smart in the lives of our clients?" Making it simple for our customers, we realized we are important for peoples lives. The GigaLife, expand our offers and digital services while keeping it as simple as possible. Entertainment, KDrama. We knew there was a huge following, I was a fan. A lot of us were, it would have been crazy for us not to do it. The feedback has been quite phenomenal. It is a one year engagement, he will be with is for the next few months. He will be making our customers happy during trying times. I planned to do this and physically tried to be there, but this hit us too. We just had to get it done and we did it all online with his management and crew."


Lloyd Manaloto who leads marketing says "We talked to the team in the other country. It was simple and easy, we monitored it remotely and did it in a tight deadline. They didn’t have a fuzz, very professional, all in one day, imagine doing that complex ad in that timeframe. His team and Hyun Bin were all so nice!"


Mon Isberto says “I have been hounded by people when he is coming to the Philippines, it is not definite because of the situation but it is definitely coming. I will be hiding when it happens. We will certainly announce it.”







New Giga Promos


They are lining up a few more promos in the next few weeks. GigaVideo, you can watch movies and subscribe to Viu. Still, customer centric, use it to serve their passion and it will be their driver to move forward. The PLDT group is talking to partners like Microsoft, enterprise, all mobile wireless solutions to create ecosystems for students and teachers under the new normal for e-learning. To find ways to make it easier. Smart recognize how to provide them support and connectivity to make it easier for everyone. They are also working with DepEd with schools in the next few months, to build with private sectors and the government to make it happen. To empower educators. They knew Bench was also getting his services, they got lucky too with the timing.

They are finalizing plans of doing Hyun Bin Merchandise so you can bring him home if you apply new subscriptions and do business with Smart Business centers. The campaign should have been started in June but things happened so they got to release early. He is so excited to come and wants to be here once flight restrictions are lifted. They see passions of customers and might have plans designed specifically for watching videos soon other than GigaVideo.


Hyun Bin was simple, he wanted to do a practice run. It was a breeze doing voice over requests, some of his jackets, all signed, they might give that away soon for fans.

PENSHOPPE Launches #iamdifferent Campaign

Have you ever been bullied? I have, a lot of times actually. I am glad to have joined several campaigns that have tackled this difficult problem that people have been through all these years. It makes me realize that it's a also a cycle, admittedly I have also bullied some of my friends, and I know it's not right. As much as I can, I try not to do that anymore because it's wrong on so many levels. I'm glad Penshoppe is doing it too.


You see my crazy hair? The weird clothes I wear? The shoes that I use? I love them all, but I'm sure a significant part of society won't consider that normal, up to their standards, but if you think about it I am the personification of this particular campaign because #iamdifferent. Being different doesn't mean people have the right to abuse you, use you, or tell you bad things because it's not right. That difference should be celebrated, because it's something good, it's individuality, it's taking a gamble with non conformity. It's cool, it's fashion forward, and no one should put you down because of it.


Together with the iconic men and women that are endorsing Penshoppe like Lucky Blue Smith, Sandara Park, Cameron Dallas, Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, Mario Maurer, and local stars Tanner Mata and Hashtag Ronnie Alonte, this night was something they wanted to happen because they were excited about this cause according to Jeff Bascon, Penshoppe's Fashion Director. It's very current, it's still happening and they will put a stop to it by funding a grassroots program module that would teach kids acceptance, against bullying via the organization Teach For The Philippines.
