Shy Carlos and Mark Neumann for Tasya Fantasya on TV5

Thursday, January 14, 2016

Singing a new tune with a lovely playful disposition is Shy Carlos. She's the newest star now in a lead role as Tasya Fantasya based on the work of Direk Carlo J. Caparas which was originally played by Kris Aquino and also Yasmien Kurdi on GMA. Now that the story is on the TV5's stable, it's going to be a bit more funnier because when we saw her doing the character on stage, she was really into it. Add to that AJ Mulach and Mark Neumann who's going to be her leading men in the show, this will also have a romantic spin between her fantacized man and the best friend who wanted to be her boyfriend.

Mark says "At first it's physical, but later on it's the personality that is important for me. Well if they want us to, we can try to be TV5's premier love team. She's nice and easy to talk to, really approachable which I really like about her. I am so thankful that even if I didn't win Artista Academy, the work I do everyday, I always am thankful for it that I do pour in my passion in everything that I do."

"Since it's my first time to work with him, we're going to work on our chemistry because we need that in work. I want to be happy and contented before I go into a relationship. If I'm not gonna be loved, I'm not gonna get hurt because it's not the thing that would complete me. People would think he's not that approachable but he makes everything light. I'm also proud of Nadine and seeing her acheive so many things I'm so happy for her. We started in commercials and we dreamed of this since the beginning, I'm just so happy for her. I choose schedules in school that would not be conflicting with work so I have time for that. I'm taking AB Consular Affairs in Benilde and I hope I can finish soon."

The show also stars Donnalyn Bartolome, Kim Molina, Malak So, AJ Mulach, Ara Mina, Candy Pangilinan, Giselle Sanchez, John Lapus and Jasmine Hollingworth. Also present in the presscon were Boss Vic Del Rosario, Veronique Del Rosario and Viva Executives.

It's going to start on February 6, 2016 8PM and will be done every Saturday after that. This is produced by Viva too.

Ruffa Mae, Candy, Ate Gay, Gladys and Kim Idol: 4 DA BEST + 1

Thursday, February 26, 2015

It's going to be a riot when you experience 4 DA BEST + 1 this 2015. This has been in the helm of Director Andrew De Real for years now and this time they've got a new set of comedians and comediennes including an international tour later this year. This is also the first time they are making it a full continuous scene so you wouldn't be left hanging and laugh without stopping, that was the promise of Andrew De Real.

They will also delve on current events and maybe event create characters off of that. Ruffa Mae is going to be the sexy siren cum other woman, whilst Candy Pangilinan becomes the legal wife, Ate Gay will be the mashup queen and Gladys Guevarra will belt it out, it's good clean fun but of course I don't think they'll be holding back since it's all live!

The first show will be at the Music Museum on March 13 and 14 but they'll be having tons of shows elsewhere in the country and even an international tour. They're all excited to go to the US also and for first timer Ate Gay it would be a dream to go there to perform for our kababayans. Candy also says when you're tired and you see OFW's approach and ask for photos, you just can't say no because you need to give them what they deserve as they've worked hard for what they pay for in these shows. Ruffa Mae admits this thing is pretty new to her, but she's glad that she's working with veterans in the industry. Gladys on the other hand is pretty happy with the combination and she knows how much 4 DA BEST has been able to provide countless shows outside the country and she's ready to even do whatever it takes to make them happy. Consequently it's also Gladys' birthday and this was a welcome gift.

Director Andrew De Real says "When we started he was only 21 and I tried it with Arnel Ignacio. Broadsheets said it was a comedy bar and that started a couple more establishments. I also taught a lot of people even behind the stage and if there's a chance, perhaps a school would be put up but for now we're going to build finds for it.

The cast thanked everyone for supporting them and they promise to make it a fun night for the best people that will watch their concert. March 13 and 14 at the Music Museum! Tickets are also sold on SM Ticket outlets and in Music Museum too!

Alwyn Uytingco Stars in Dramedy Series "Beki Boxer"

Saturday, March 29, 2014

Punching his ways into your homes and into your hearts with pink fabric, rainbows and glitters is this new program named Beki Boxer from TV5. It stars Alwin Uytingco as he plays the role of Rocky Ponciano a simple gay guy who wished to be a beauty queen but turned into full time boxer just to protect his Dad and family's name. It reflects on the the Filipino psyche of "Family First". It also delved into the LGBT view of sacrificing yourself for the ones you love, taking out the dreams of a guy who just wanted it all to come true.

Looks promising? Yeah! I think they will be gambling a lot in terms of having this program done on their channel but with the Directors of Zombadings and the other Kape Barako on their helm, this is going to be something that onlookers would really have to see. The dramedy promises that it will be funny as hell but as touching like a buckets of tears. When asked about possible conservative Church people probably finding this a bit offensive, they said that even the Pope says a lot what should be done when there are gender sensitive issues on the line, they're right on that part to say that the Church should accept anyone regardless of their orientation.

The cast also includes Claire Hartell Ruiz, Vin Abrenica, Christian Vasquez, Onyok Velasco, Joross Gamboa, Cholo Barretto, Candy Pangilinan, Bekimon and tons more. The series will show on TV5 starting on March 31'st. We already watched the first one and judging from the looks of the press who were also there, they definitely liked it! This is a big break for Alwyn Uytingco and he's been very busy with this station. I guess it's the right time and the right project. Hope it does wonders for your career because you've been working hard I know.
