Miguel Tanfelix Changes Looks on His 25th Birthday

 Miguel Tanfelix is officially 25 years old today. The young and prime Kapuso actor just finished Voltes V Legacy, and portraying Steve Armstrong was like a dream come true. We asked about how he felt after doing their finale episode and what this means for him. He says "I am a little sad about ending the show, but ultimately, it brings back how a family actually bonds over what they watch on TV. I am so happy about what Voltes V Legacy has achieved. It's a privilege to do a very popular show from the 80's and 90's, and how we got to San Diego Comic Con for it." Miguel also felt it was a good break for those who are all just usually watching on their phones.

They have a new movie called FIREFLY under GMA News and Public Affairs. This is directed by critically acclaimed Zig Dulay. In it, he's able to work with the likes of Cherry Pie Picache, Yayo Aguila, Alessandra De Rossi, Epi Quizon. It's about a kid's adventures and how he gets to see different people along his journey. Like a slice of life.

CHANGING HIS LOOKS

Since his birthday is coming up, they planned this photo shoot ahead of time. Miguel is actually turning 25 this year and with it, comes a lot of change especially when it comes to his looks and demeanor. No particualr theme in mind, but just envibe maturity... also show off his new hair. If you didn't notice, he was not able to cut his hair for a number of years for the continuity in the script and the show VOLTES V LEGACY he's in.

HOW HE PLANS TO CELEBRATE THIS YEAR

Miguel doesn't want the run of the mill birthday party to go to bars and celebrate it that way, and rather just spend time with family, friends and do outdoorsy stuff especially wake boarding. Something like a short break after the grueling Voltes V Legacy shoot that actually took 4 years to make and took a few months to have the public watch. Any place is fine, as long as it's outside and spend it with the most important people in his life.

 

Miguel told us that Isabel actually tried to do wake boarding, but it was just physically draining. Miguel of course just wants her to be there. Miguel also wants the shoot to be something he could use in social media. Though let me ask you, do you like his new hair? I do.

Miguel is careful, still reaching for his dreams. Although he went through a lot these past few years, we are seeing Miguel's steady rise happen before our very eyes. For now, he wants to just take a break and spend it with his family. He's been working hard and deserve it, to say the least.

We will see more of Miguel Tanfelix in his upcoming projects. Do expect that he's going to do more mature roles, exciting ones which he plans to do on TV, online and in film. Our boy is all grown up, and we can see how he's become a fine young actor who's very passionate about his craft. Watch out for his photos coming out today!

YLONA GARCIA Does “Don’t Go Changing” Under 88rising

I've seen her in the country and all I thought of while hearing her sing is that, she's severely underrated. She deserves an international audience and she's about to get it. Sydney based Ylona Garcia just released her single "Don't Go Changing" under American music company 88rising. This song was produced by Jonas Jeberg (who also did songs for Panic! At the Disco, Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez) and Marcus Lomax (who did songs for Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus0. Listening to it this evening had me put myself in a trance with a late night chill song. The lyrics though tell a story on how to grieve and showcase the different stages of letting go, something that hopeless romantics, people who fall in love intensely could easily relate with.

This is part of 88rising's efforts to bring artists from the East to West and it will be part of Head In The Clouds III which will be their third installment. Ylona says "This song simply embraces the truth in life's many mysteries. It talks about tough love." HITC3 by the way will be out on digital stores come first quarter of 2022. The video is directed by Louis Browne who also did work for artists like Jack Newsome, Ellie Goulding (whom I love in ehterial dance tracks!) and Rich Brian. The video (which is on YouTube already) shows a more mature, sultry side of her. Done quite nice, I could see how she's going places with this attempt.

I guess Ylona is going to be destined for an international career, and by the looks of it... she's doing quite good! Congratulations girl, you're going to be BIG!

Derrick Monasterio About to Release His New Single "Give Me One More Chance"

It was about the same time last year when we got to talk to Derrick Monasterio about his career plans. It was during his birthday also when we did a charity event in Tatalon in Quezon City. At that time, he was telling me about how he was wishing there was a chance that he could actually do something about singing. He loves it, and he actually did the legwork to hone this craft by taking voice lessons so he could do it the right way. Lo and behold a year after, it looks like the good looking guy is finally making his dreams come true. Not only is he now donning a body of a demigod (as confirmed by his Cosmo Carnival appearance) but he's practically starting his journey to become a legit singer. He's about to release his new single called "Give me one more chance" which will probably come out this January and he's excited to share with you original songs, most of which are OPM and a couple English ones too. How can you not melt when he sings, then looks at you like this?

He'll be releasing a couple more songs and eventually be releasing a full pledged album. He's not just good looking, he's a talented man, and he is in the works to appear in a soap next year together with Bea Binene. She was also there during our Christmas party to say hi. Now this team up is new and people have been very positive about the pair. They already told us the storyline and it's actually quite cute. You should definitely be excited about that. We have also confirmed that Derrick did feel a little bad about not being Bea Binene's last dance during #LegallyB's debut. As good friends actually do, they talked about it candidly and understood why. They've been really good friends and even if Derrick was a little sad, he knows he always should make Bea happy on her day.

 

Aside from Bea and Derrick, we were surprised by GMA Artist Center by bringing in T.O.P to sing with us during the Christmas Party they organized. Ralph King, a runner up of Bet ng Bayan also arrived and showed us why we're not meant to be singers LOL!

Anyway, we had so much fun. I only wish the very best to Derrick Monasterio. He's been working really hard, changed a lot in a few months and only promises to become a better version of him. He's also very humble, which only make him an even brighter star. I hope people continue to support him as he's just starting in the music industry. He's also gotten some real complements from people from the music industry, his peers and loved by his fans. There's no other way but up and I hope it happens real soon for the good looking guy.
