Make Your Own Havaianas 2015

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

When you saw this photo, did you feel a little old? Haha I know! It's the 10th year of Make Your Own Havaianas and their doing it in Hawaiian style this time at the Glorietta Activity Center. I've had a few pairs myself so if you're hoarding them at home, take them out and use them on the beach, the outdoors, or just about any place you go and take your Havaianas to.

Aside from the great music, they let us choose our own soles and match them with whatever straps we wanted for it. You can also personalize the thing by latching in lots of pins which you can put on the strap as well.

The pin choices this year are super cool too as they followed the theme, making it extra cool with the Hawaiian vibe. I liked the aloha, the coconut, the camera, the burger, the hotdog, coffee, beach bum, road trip and fish pins personally. They also made us a complimentary hand stamped pin because we were the first people to have it.

I love Havaianas! Thank you for having us to celebrate individuality once again. My pair will be put into good use I promise and if you're looking forward to get your pair, come to the Glorietta Activity Center and make your own pair. There's 12,000 combinations to choose from, you can make your own Havaianas from May 7-10. They'll be at 17 malls anyway so I'm sure there's one near you!

Mahalo! And cheers to making your own Havaianas this year! Thank you to Tasha who made my pair too!

Mad For Pizza

Thursday, June 19, 2014

When the sign says so, it probably means what it is. This is the day that we went to MAD FOR PIZZA at IL TERRAZO in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. It's a stones throw away from ABSCBN and the Boy Scout monument too. This is rarely new and they've got the star of the show emphasized on the day of my visit. The Pizza choices were enormous! Aside from that, you can probably have it made and customized as you want it. Toppings all you want! You are the boss!

The Drinks

I only saw three or four drinks on out table. I ordered the Bottomless Iced Tea and got to also taste the Salted Caramel Milkshake. I must tell you to order the frozen version of the Iced Tea since it's a tad better than this normal one. The serving is ginormous though to for the price, it's worth it. The Salted Caramel Milkshake was good too, but make sure you go to this place with an empty stomach because they have it all BIG in this joint. It's a sweet treat!

Salads and Starters

Freshly made Hawaiian Salad that's both sweet and crunchy would be best for those watching their weight. The Nachos were as fresh as they make it on the spot when you order it. You can even feel it hot after they pour the cheese, beef bits and salsa. The Disco Fries was an even better alternative because it had all the good characteristics of the nachos but the filling ability of fries. I had second servings of this so you know how good that must have felt LOL. The Fish and Chips was also good but I must say you have to eat it while its hot. It tends to be soggy if you let it out that long, but really who wouldn't finish the plate right after they put it on your table.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2014

Thursday, May 08, 2014

When I posted this photo on Instagram I immediately said that "I'll have what she's having!" because as you see she's doing the salsa like nobody's there! It was festive, it was like mardi gras in Manila right smack in the middle of Glorietta. Well I couldn't blame them because it is after all the start of Make Your Own Havaianas 2014. It will be open to the public from May 8 - 11 at the Glorietta Activity center in Makati City. I partied big time that evening with personalities and celebrities, some of whom you might actually recognize I'm sure.

From Salsa numbers, to Phil and James Younghusband, to Basti Artadi and Elmo Magalona and his siblings, it was an awesome day of making our own Havaianas. We felt that we were in the streets of Rio crumping and jumping to the tunes like nobody's watching. When I got the chance to do mine, a very friendly guy Adrian rushed to the counter and grabbed my Havaianas passport. The passport basically contains a checklist of items which you can just tick. From the actual rubber sole to the strap and the pins you would want to have, it's all there! He went to the back and got what I chose then started to assemble my Havaianas. :)

Geeky version of Adrian holding my Havaianas Passport. This is our trip to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil!

They had two tools that they heavily use. One was the small pole which they use to put the straps in. The other one was a crimper so you could choose and put in pins on the strap. It was really fast and I didn't really have to wait that long since there were stars behind me hahaha!

It's beginning to look like a pair of slippers now and they're putting in the cute pins. :)

Now I have MY OWN HAVAIANAS! :) It's as cute as me and the guy who made it with me agree!? Now go to Glorietta's Activity Center and Make Your Own Havaianas today til the 11th! :)
