DELL Launches Powerful Inspiron Gaming Laptops

Tuesday, December 06, 2016

We all love gaming and we're not done yet because DELL is coming out with a new gaming laptop line designed for casual laptop gamers. Would you believe? A gaming laptop that doesn't look like a gaming laptop, presentable even in the office and very capable for play too.

Dell Country Manager Chris Papa says "We're catering to a booming segment in the market today. People are actually going towards gaming use specific for casual gamers that have gone back using their laptops and use it for productivity as well. It will allow you to use it with heavy graphics, as for the last few quarters we are growing our business in double digits in different segments and we're excited to show you what we have in the new Dell Inspiron series."

Dell's Alvin IbaƱa, Brand Manager for Desktops adds "You can now use laptops like the Inspiron Gaming laptops with specs that could satisfy real gamers like you and me. The Inspiron 15700 are professional looking laptops, need not be like a spaceship using the latest Intel processors and GTX 4G DDR5 graphics  that can support 4K and FHD resolution. It also has got a dual fan thermal system that won't get your unit to overheat, plus a subwoofer so you can hear great sounds when you need to play. Dell also has really good after sales support plus a premium one so if you get your laptop broken, our people can diagnose and let technicians go to you instead. Dell also has excellent gaming monitors like the S2716DG so hardcore gamers that are used to desktops can now enjoy an even better gaming experience when you need it."

The Dell Inspiron 157000 starts at 49,990 for the full hd version i5. The 4K display is at 69,990 and uses i7.

Dell Philippines launches Thin, Sleek and Professional Vostro 5460 Laptop

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

A few days ago I was invited to the launch of Dell's latest laptop model the Dell Vostro 5460. It's a sleek very refined piece of hardware that screams power when scrutinized closely. It's specs alone would impress any ultrabook lover and for what its worth, the performance is also as solid as any computer that can even do heavy gaming because it's not your ordinary 14 inch portable hardware.

Mind you while this was being introduced and throughout the whole discussion about the Dell Vostro 5460 he was actually carrying it around the whole time. It's only 1.54 Kgs and one of the thinnest in its class at 19mm. It was intended for business use but is now going to be released in a consumer sector to give Philippine consumers a more powerful option other than the others that carry small specs. Dell also mentioned that this will be included in their line of laptops , PC's and ultrabooks that will be covered by the Dell Next Business Day On-Site Service. No other brand actually does that other than Dell worldwide!

For its processor, they are gearing towards Intel i3 and i5. They also come with packaged OS such as Windows 8 Home Starter 64bit, Home Basic 64bit, Home Premium 64bit or Windows 7 Professional with XP mode installed and the option of the 64bit version of Linux Ubuntu  already installed. Up to 6GB of memory supported because of its 1600MHz DDR3 SoDIMM and Intel Mobile HM77 chipset. The impressive Video Card that is perfect even or gaming carries Intel HD Graphics 3000 (GT2) and a 1GB nVidia GeForce GT630M.The 14 inch HiDef 1366x768 720p display would be the envy of your friends in the office or at home. Pretty cool for a small machine huh?

It only carries a 3 cell Lithium Ion battery at 48 - 50WHr at 65 Watts, Slim or 90 Watt Slim. It's the reason why the laptop only packs only small amount of temperature which some ultrabooks or laptops are so problematic about. It also has an HDMI port for usual reasons. It supports Gigabit Ethernet network rates plus b/g/n standard wireless connectivity.

For those who want to experience the best that Dell has to offer in this reasonably priced laptop computer line, you should be informed that it  comes in "Standard or Ultrabook" configurations. I suggest you take your time to know Dell Vostro 5460 because it's totally worth it!

Windows8 Touch Enabled DELL XPS12

Sunday, November 18, 2012

Dell has been a recognized brand for hardware, specifically for laptop and desktop computers worldwide. This particular event I went to was the launch of something special, though not out of the ordinary they've revved up some of their former designs and got them on this new Dell XPS12.

Chris Papa the Country Manager for DELL says its another milestone to launch xp12 among their other great models soon. He says this too will come with services unprecedented in the Philippine territory because they will cover nationwide. They will also extend it to nearby Asian-Oceania countries so if you are frequent traverlers, you can take advantage of this awesome ultrabook which transforms from a laptop and into a tablet via a flick on its screen. The latest ultrabook is made slim, very powerful, and functions as a fully featured tablet. This is by the way their first touch enabled device on Windows8 platform. Though I'm not a fan of the OS they are gearing to take advantage of its full touch capabilities which other manufacturers haven't that much been really doing on their devices (well some do but that's another story).

Aside from that, the DELL XPS12 is one tough cookie. It doesn't look and feel tough but when I held it, structurally the swivel display does not look flimsy at all. As you flip the display over, you can close the lid and you can use the XPS12 as a tablet. Tried to change orientations but the Windows8 response wasn't that great. I don't quite know the gyro capabilities but it wasn't following that fast.

Alvin Go, Dell Philippines Product Manager showed how remarkable the device is. Made mostly of carbon fiber (one of the lightest in the market), its hinge is also machined aluminum so it's quite sturdy even if flipping transpires on the display. It's got a 100% SSD hard drive so data response is very fast. The 12.5 Full HD WLED and Corning gorilla glass just makes the display quite vivid for the video or photo connoisseur.

Then another big thing was announced! Support services for these models are now available for free nationwide and a couple more countries outside the Philippines. It means that no matter where you are, if you need help with your DELL equipment they can easily help you within 48 hours (that's if phone support won't be able to help you right off the bat!). This is world class On Site Service and is free for 1 year with notebooks and 3 years for high end PC's.

Ricky Banaag, Country Manager of Intel boasts of better, longer battery life and faster processors for more models of Dell products. Intel also worked with brands that have ultrabooks on their line and receives positive feedback from consumers. The area of convertibles is gonna grow; and technology among all things will have to become well adaptive to what the consumer wants. It's quite nice to see these brands launching in places like Manila now. Be sure when you check out the stores, find out if DELL XPS12 would be the perfect powerful companion that would satisfy your gadget hunger. You don't have to stop what you're doing; this will surely change the conversation wherever, whenever.

Congratulations on this launch Dell! I am impressed!
