One Great Place to Find Cars!

Thursday, September 03, 2009

My brother is in Ireland and he has been in and out of Dublin because of work. It is quite hard to be a celebrity chef in that area. He has to sometimes go to London or to the outskirts of Dublin for conferences, meetings and engagements but it was really hard for him to rely on his old SUV. We were initially not open to getting ordinary cars because we needed the extra legroom and storage space. But then petrol has been very expensive these days and that monster vehicle drank like a camel in the desert when filling up. I really worry because salary cuts were but a normal thing to hear in the United Kingdom and if that is the case, saving money is of up most importance.

Where do we start? He plans to sell his SUV and trade it for a hybrid car. This Toyota PRIUS has been the talk of the town because of its efficient energy saving features, the problem is; it's pretty hard to find. I asked him to check out local web sites but they only found incomplete and unreliable information. Good thing there is http://www.buyyourcar.co.uk that he tried out and in a few minutes, he was able to get a good deal. He compared new cars, slightly used ones and leased ones and checked out a couple of them using the information indicated on the profile. The car was also sold at a fair price so he went ahead and purchased it the next day. Without batting an eyelash, he now has that car in his garage enjoying every energy efficient minute of it when it switches to the electric motor. It was so awesome I want one too! Can you buy me one? Ha-ha!

Hybrid Car Day!

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

The hybrid cars are making a huge waves in the auto industry. I haven't driven one so the actual mechanics on how it works is mind boggling for me. I saw one in TV when I watched The Girls of the Playboy Mansion... yeah I know what your thinkin... hey I just watched promise!

The car actually runs on gas but when you stop in a corner or slow down, it automatically switches into electric and the car seems to halt but in reality its really just going the mile with electricity instead. This is really a great answer to the oil needs of most countries and if this goes with the Filipino water cars, I bet you its going to be more efficient. I was really at awe on how it 't works, how in the world didn't anybody think about this before? Anyway its very very good that more models are coming out from Japanese, American and German manufacturers.

And think about the grand prix outfits holly, kendra and the girls would wear if they show up in those cars in style! Hahaha.... I know lotsa drivers are going to be excited!

Green Cars to Survive

Monday, January 19, 2009

The annual Detroit Auto Show this year has proven to conform to the latest trends in the industry by turning GREEN this year. More Electric, Hybrid and alternative powered cars surfaced to face the looming international crisis that not only hit the banking sector but the biggest car manufacturers as well.

Ford, Chrysler and other North American car makers made it a point that all their points get across the newly installed government of the US because as much as they would want to save the ailing industry, funding may not be sufficient enough to even finish this 1st quarter without going to bigger loans and turn it’s assets to collateral damage. Evidently everyone is going under huge bank debts if a more stable rescue package from the government materializes.

BYD Cars, China's biggest battery maker is not holding back in introducing its own set of electric cars and plug-in hybrids in the said auto show. Not only did they have the cars that speak of low cost manufacturing but they also predicted that its battery life cycle would outperform competitors by thousands of miles. They are currently endorsing their own lithium-ion iron phosphate technology that has surpassed current battery lifespan of today’s industry standards. I do sincerely hope that in the next few years we would not be too dependent on oil playing giants and their countries because it has been too hard for us each time they announce price hikes monthly. Falling oil prices are evidence that the greener cars are getting its needed exposure to be able to stop our dependence on oil producing nations.
