And then, there was one.
The gallant efforts of our Philippine teams was quite fruitful, but the championship went to our neighbors from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Alter Ego (for Valorant) and Myth Avenue Gaming (for DOTA 2) just won the Predator Shield for 2025. They have bested teams from 14 regions, all falling to really good strategy and teamwork on both games. They won 65,000 US Dollars in prize money. ZOL Esports of Acer Philippines won 1st Runner up and a 20,000 dollar pot. Team Ivory on the other hand placed 2nd Runner Up which gets them 7,500 USD, still a great finish. MVP prizes went to CUD of Alter Ego and Bob King of Myth Avenue Gaming. They have a separate prize for that too around 10K USD. In the two days, they also held several celebrity performances, CosWalk competitions, different activities to celebrate the occasion. Follow their official website to know more about the winners.
At the event, they also announced the next hosts which will be Acer India. So see you in Delhi perhaps?

CATRIONA GRAY, Gilas Pilipinas Players, Announced As FIBA Local Ambassadors
Friday, August 26, 2022
Hearing that the FIBA Basketball World Cup is happening in the Philippines is already a huge deal for me. Filipinos are the biggest fans of it in the world, you can tell why as much of the streets are lined with basketball courts, big or small, just so we could have somewhere to play they game we absolutely love.
Yesterday was also extra special as SBP (Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas), FIBA and various affiliates introduced the local FIBA Ambassadors consisting of former Gilas Pilipinas players and the one and only Miss Universe Catriona Gray.
Here's what happened that morning
During the event, they also announced the simultaneous start of the Tissot Time in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan. This means there's only "one year to go" before FIBA matches starts. They also have hinted that there will be a FIBA Global Ambassador later this year. This is also the first time in FIBA's history to see three countries hosting the games, with the Philippines heading the pack. They also mentioned that the local ambassadors wouldn't be the only ones to help disseminate information about the games, because YOU can be part of that too. You may start joining the community by registering here https://register.worldcup.basketball so you could get early bird rates on tickets and Superfan packages.
What's also touching is that they plan to identify several basketball courts around the country that they will adopt so they could fix, restore and make them a project for the ambassadors together with the FIBA players, making sure they also get to see the culture and what Filipinos are known for, the heart filled hospitality.
Stay tuned for more updates about the games, plus the time they're raffling off the countries battling it out in the FIBA Basketball World Cup!
Filipino Actor LEO CONSUL Takes Indonesia by Storm and Releases Single NO PUEDO
Saturday, November 13, 2021
Leo Consul is a native of Bolinao Pangasinan and he pursued a career as an English teacher in an international school in Indonesia. His passion being in the entertainment industry was really a calling, he started doing auditions and made the cut.
He says "It took me a couple of years to learn Bahasa. I had to learn it fast because of Eat Bulaga Indonesia. English wasn't widely use, it takes a while but I understand everything now. Before I did the series, I just had a few sessions. I learned theatre from school. I also watched Korean dramas, which it was patterned from. I did shows, which I also hosted. I have also been given shows wherein I didn't have to auditioned anymore because they trusted me with what I do. I tried to join around 2007, I used to host a travelling show in a regional ABSCBN show. I also auditioned for Starstruck, Pinoy Dream Academy. Honestly speaking, when I came to Indonesia, I was really appreciated, but it worked out in the end... because I was probably meant to be here at first. If I didn't get opportunities in the Philippines, I was lucky to be in in Indonesia. I do get compared with Piolo and Inigo Pascual, and I am honored when people tell me that."
Ladies, he's single... and says "Yes we just broke up, we couldn't cope with the distance. What helped me a lot was doing the series, I just focused on it and everything was good. I hope the next one is the serious one, I'm not getting any younger anymore and I hope we have the same goals, and not that complicated anymore."
If you want to see his work, go stream his single NO PUEDO in streaming sites worldwide. You can also see his music video on YouTube today. He's raring to have his own Filipino career and with Cornerstone by his side, it'll be possible.
