No Rules Just Style Sessions with MoodBoard Manila and Cat Arambulo

Sunday, March 19, 2017

I attended a luncheon over at BGC for the Mood Board Manila talk with Cat Arambulo. My sincere apologies for not writing sooner because this for me is such a difficult subject to talk about (had 4 revisions lol). I'm engineer by profession and in the past we only touched quite a little about interior design. Cat Arambulo talked about how important it is to basically make your design decisions about yourself. It is important that when other people see your room, it's a representation of your aesthetics and what you want people to see when they see your room.

Now I'm not of that type, I feel ancient and NEVER had people look at my room because of the mess I make everyday. I think I'm sick, I hoard things, but still think I live quite a minimal life. Though I'm quite glad Mood Board Manila makes it easy for anyone to solve that problem. They've got professionals you can consult with, and interior designers to take care of your needs. I might eventually need to be one of their clients.

Putting their money where their mouth is, Mood Board Manila transformed a small space on the 2nd Floor of La Creperie in BGC into a personal space. I was impressed how they could turn bare walls into elegant classy murals, complete with wall sconces and a fire place with winter country home accents I'd be glad to have on my space. At this day and age, this should be something like a necessity especially for condo dwellers and make this a benchmark for all other future projects. Planning well would make Manila a great place to live in if that happens.

Cat explains “You must remember that When you talk about your space, it’s going to be all about you. It’s about your personality, like When you’re into fashion and you're the kind that enjoy the details of clothing, style, or trend, you can put all the concepts into how you should decorate your space. Whether you want to take it to another level, it depends on your character, your preferred color palette, like when you dress up for an occasion. Right now, the colors Copper, Rose Gold, Green and Marble are on trend. If you have no idea what to do, but like one color, you can do it in five different textures. Do something silky, leathery, suede or even fluffy. It puts in drama and character to a room, you can stick to that idea."

MoodBoard Manila's interior designer Kristel Poyaoan gave us a survey to identify what style would work for us. She quirps “You need to know at least what a client's preference is, what appeals to them and what they usually respond to and why because at moodboardMANILA, the client's satisfaction is premier. Our job at MoodBoard Manila is to interpret them, put these things into life because the last thing we would want to happen is getting all boxed up. If you desire to be diverse, we can do that and pick pieces that would depict harmony, to make your space lively, and be the spot you would want to have a retreat to after a long day at work. It has to be a space that reflects who you are."

For those who would want to ask questions or know more about their services, you may send them an email via inquiry@moodboardmanila.ph or call 09177726273. Thanks MoodBoard Manila for having us at their event! I learned a lot and might have to pickup a lot to throw to the bin in my room after that talk LOL!

Now Open: The New Greenwich Pizzeria!

Thursday, May 01, 2014

Who doesn't love Greenwich Pizza?! With the freshest ingredients topped on great thin crust, you just can't get enough of their pizzas. Those lovely chicken and pasta combos are also affordable aside from the fact that their full flavored lasagnas are to die for. If you are just up for a snack, you can grab their frozen drinks and just chow on cut fries in your favorite cheese and barbecue flavors. Dip it in their own salsa and it's a done deal! Well, almost. They haven't really stopped there. We went to their grandest store a few days ago to get a taste of these awesome food in an awesome setting. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the new Greenwich Pizzeria!

This is the newly opened store in SM North Edsa's second floor. There's no other store like this yet but they are in the plans of changing the look of other stores into this new whimsical one pretty soon. I love the more modern vibe and it'll probably be a great place to hangout by kids, families and young ones too. If you haven't been here, it's a place that you'll be happy to spend time in with your closest friends.

Oh and speaking of friends, he came inside the store and all hell broke lose!

The cute and cuddly John Lloyd Cruz suddenly appeared all thin and super bodied than the last time we saw him in ABSCBN. He's been working out but without sacrificing his love for his favorite Greenwich Overload Hawaiian Pizza! He was so happy about the new store that he began giving out free pizza to everyone in the restaurant.... he even gave some outside the mall! It went out like magic because as soon as John Lloyd took out his hand with a box of pizza, the ladies immediately fall on their knees and beg for more... both of John Lloyd and the pizza of course!

Best of all, he gave it away for free! Now if you love John Lloyd, you'll surely love the new store.

We even met some of the store's proponents, parts of the team that thought about the overall design and feel for the Greenwich Pizzeria! They are so proud of this that they can't wait to implement it in other stores nationwide. With the brewing demand for new things in the market, Greenwich chooses to be a familiar homey establishment but still maintain their true colors. That is why John Lloyd was so happy to see the new Greenwich Pizzeria, he says this is something that he never thought would happen. Everything is going to change and they are ready. We are looking forward to all these changes soon!

There will be more great offerings perfect for groups and individuals if you go to your nearby Greenwich Pizza store or order through 55555. Aside from that, once that your favorite branch starts to be converted into these mod industrial hangouts, you might find John Lloyd Cruz one of these days. He'll have these faces, his eyes look at you so intense you'll have to order more Greenwich Overload Hawaiian Pizza and Greenwich Lasagna Supreme just to keep him on your table. Be nice and spend quality time with your family and friends. Overloaded sa sulit

Pizza please! :)

Buddha Bar Weekend Lunch Grill

Sunday, April 06, 2014

It's so hot outside and you can't concentrate when you wanted to do chores at home. You haven't been going out that much and wanted to treat your family a nice meal. With a very grand interior and cozy seating this place offers, I was off to see Buddha Bar Manila once again! This joint is located in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati City. For starters, I had my favorite drink which is the Buddha Bar Iced Tea!

It's base is Earl Grey tea plus a multitude of fruit juices. I love it with any meal that goes in and out of Buddha Bar's kitchen. Speaking of which, this afternoon was special because we had the Buddha Bar Weekend Lunch Grill pegged at only 899. Is it worth it? TOTALLY. Why? Look at this spread!

The Chef got us salivating over the fresh salads, complete with Romaine, Iceberg and Red and Green Leaf Lettuce. They've go comforting Seafood Chowder, Chicken Salad, Salmon Bites and a lot of variants. Aside from that, they've got some of the best Sushi prepared all for you!

I was trying to limit eating the healthy options that afternoon but there were heavy options on the side of this area. I was bound to have a plate or two. Oh my, but I was so happy!
