Accomplish Goals Like "Pamilya Kaya" with Globe GFiber Prepaid

Sunday, November 19, 2023

These days, a blue collared job won't cut it for a family. There are various things your Dad, Mom, Brother and Sister could do to make proper "diskarte" so you could get a little extra and fulfill your goals at the same time. This is where Globe at Home could help especially on keeping us connected whenever we need it. Pamilya Kaya showed us at the Market!Market! Activity Center last October 1-7 how you could take your game to the next level. With Mommy Neri Miranda, Daddy Teddy Corpuz, Brother Raymond Mabute and Sister Lottie Bie, also known as Pamilya Kaya how you can elevate your skills with the new Globe GFiber Prepaid Unlimited Internet connection that they have.

Mommy Kaya does more than just being a home maker. With the internet connection she has, it would be quite easy to do online selling as she streams and get orders from folks online even at the comforts of her home. She set goals to sell 299 items, and get payments for it in real time. Daddy Kaya on the other hand knows how to work out a crowd. With his crafting skills, he could charm and create 299 video content to take his YouTube dreams to reality. He is quite keen on doing live streams, reaction videos and show his daily life online. Kuya Kaya on the other hand is more than ready to battle it out with the great eSports personalities and Valorant players in over 299 matches. Tall order but it is achievable. Imagine the opportunities he's bound to get once those W's come in tournaments he's participating in. Not to be out-shined, Ate Kaya took to dating apps and swiped her way to love. With over 299 matches, it'll be easy for her to find the one through a couple of coffee dates in between.

How did they fare? Go watch these individual family challenges over at Globe at Home's Facebook page so you could go and interact with them during the livestreams. In it, you can get the chance to win prizes, surprises and learn a few things along the way. If you miss an episode, you can re-watch it on the same accounts or their official YouTube channel.

If you see their "diskarte" and feel that it fits what you need at home, you can get it for only Php 299 and use it for 7 days. I on the other hand prefer the GFiberSURF999 which lasts a month. It doesn't have a lockin period too which proves quite a challenge for some subscribers. Now you can have the connection you need without the stress. Your family definitely could level up, learn more skills and have more connections. Best of all, it's unlimited. If you want one, go download the GlobeOne app and click on the GFiber Plan option, then fill in your details submit requirements on the GFiber Prepaid form. Just like the "Pamilya Kaya", you can do it too!

Globe Launches GFiber Prepaid: Because They Know, "Kaya Mo Yan!"

Friday, July 21, 2023

It's certainly a good day to actually see innovation right before our eyes. At the Globe Tower this morning, Globe Telecommunications Inc. announced the launch of a new product called GFiber Prepaid. It's the most affordable, accessible, fast and reliable internet connection from their group that can be availed with a prepaid line. You can order this through the Globe One app by downloading it off the Google Play store and choosing GFiber on the offers listed (costs Php 1499 upfront for the modem-router). To those who are still procrastinating of getting a second line like me, this is certainly perfect because the documents you need to present... are non existent, no actual tie ups with the service provider, as long as you do load it up without expiring in 6 months, then you're good.

They also have it in 30mbps with unlimited data and the thing you need to choose is the duration. For Php 299, you can get unlimited data for 7 days, for Php 649 you can do the same for 15 days, and for Php 999 (my personal choice) you get unlimited data for 30 days, which is very affordable if you compare it with mobile data or the usual postpaid lines from other providers. This was a well thought out execution of what to offer Filipinos because they really did think about the hindrances in getting internet connection in the country. With this, it's going to change a lot of things especially in homes, small offices and businesses around the country.

They taught us how fiber optic connections work, think of it as light containing data that travels fast inside a fiber. They split it up for other users and efficiently does the job its supposed to do. They also showed some clips they use to terminate a line and connect as an injector to boxes outside and at home. Here's some scenes from this morning's event!

Globe CEO Ernest Cu says "We here at Globe support your digital lifestyle and we hope this democratizes access to fiber especially in this market. For studies, business, entertainment, all at home we prefer fiber. In this new reality, we strive to bring game changing products and having fiber at home is such a better choice in service. When we allowed GCash do financial services and democratized it through the app, we want to make sure people can afford the services and enjoy what we offer in Globe. Up to 60 percent of households still don't have internet connection, because most could not afford it. They don't want to be held in a contract, and people want that flexibility. This is our business, aimed to uplift Filipino lives. This is why making this accessible is important. People need wifi, data, have it installed and give commissions to agents. Removing this and offer at an attractive price point, we are introducing GFiber Prepaid!"

Thanks to Ms. Nicole Paler who got a shot of us during the event!

There was a part of the event where I was able to talk with the host Ms. Neri Naig about my experience using the Globe GFiber Prepaid line. Installation was fast, even if I rescheduled it because I had an event on the date that I initially decided on. They were even at my home early and asked my availability if it was okay to install it lunch time. I also got to talk about the speed because out of the several days I tested, it was constantly around 29-31 mbps, which they promised to be at 30, quite impressive. I may have just found my ideal backup line that doesn't break the bank and does work when I need it.

You may be thinking of getting a fiber line for your home, your small business, your TikTok family member, or online selling business, this works great, affordable and I can even play a few games when I'm not doing any work. Go try the new GFiber Prepaid today and take advantage of fast speeds it could give you without going over budget. Those kids learning at home actually need this most, so they don't suffer from the shortcomings of mobile data.

I'm still using mine, and you should try it out (they check if there are lines available in your area too!). Yes, kaya mo now!

Christmas With Great Connections

Sunday, December 24, 2017

Not a grinch!
It's Christmas and there are parties left and right. My last count is around 15 just this month and that doesn't even include the ones that I attended outside my family. That means I have a LOT to be thankful for and that includes YOU reading this stuff. Don't even think you're not important. Now I received 2 gifts this month that surprised me because honestly, I didn't know I would need it at an opportune time. At home, I do have a PLDT line that I use for my gadgets and other internet enabled devices. I need some of them online 24/7 for security and remote management because it's just not a good thing if I don't keep watch of people at home, including the guests we have who also use our home network.

I think the luck gods and goddesses heard me when I pleaded for solutions. You see, my connection is just enough for the devices that I have at home. When a guest requests for connections and other things that they may do for their internet needs, I give them access to a separate network but it still uses the bandwidth I have at home. I still need to function and the other devices to work but I received 2 gifts just the other week. A friend gave us a brand new Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Home Wifi device, then in a Christmas party I attended, I won another one from a raffle (Thank you LionheartTV and Smart!). So now I have two of these.

You see, this device isn't just a thing that I'd be able to install at home. It's also a router which means I could use it for multiple devices if I needed to. So I took some of my devices from my existing network and used this instead. What does that mean? My guests would be able to use my network with ease, while I use this one to get me faster download and upload speeds because it's on Smart's LTE network. This thing is 700MHz LTE ready which means I'll be enjoying the connection even indoors. Now what do I do to set it up? NOTHING, because all you need to do is just plug it in and connect. Here's what it looks like inside the box.

So you have the box, the unit, the manual, the quick install guide, the warranty pamphlet, the ethernet cable, power cable and the two plastic stands (if you prefer your device standing up).

I took it out, it's quite small so you can actually take this on your luggage when you travel.

Plugged it in and turned on the ON switch on the side. You can access it two ways, one is wired (with the ethernet cable provided) or connect to the wireless network (commonly labeled properly with Smart Bro prefix).

Go to your WIFI settings on your phone and connect to the network, use the default wifi password smartbro on lowercase letters.
This device looks for he best signal, so make sure you place it on a location where the signal turns BLUE. If it turns RED, then you're getting very minimal signal (when it blinks check if the SIM card is there!). As for the speed, it's completely lovely where I am. I could upload videos at my home usually an hour for a few minutes worth on Youtube, but when I used the Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Home Wifi, it took me even shorter minutes than the actual video (a mere 2-3 minutes for a 5 minute worth video). If that doesn't impress you and your friends, I don't know what will. Oh and the whole thing can be customized just by logging in on www.smartbrosettings.net on your browser. That's also where you will load it up, receive texts and modify the network name and WIFI password. It's easy to save that in a different one for more security.

The good news is that Smart Bro Prepaid also has a new promo called Home Boost 15. It's the value-packed add-on to Smart's existing Giga Surf 50 promo. It's the BEST DEAL especially for heavy data users like me. If you're into downloading apps, movies, music, video or are content creators, I suggest you get this on top of the Giga Surf 50 you always subscribe to. Now there's no more worries if you're watching iFlix on cold nights like today. What's even better is that this already comes with free 10GB of data valid for 7 days. You'll also save a lot too because apart from those promos, you'll only be spending around P15 for 1GB, have it monitored like a hawk on the device interface too. You'll be in control and avoid bill shock where that happens.

Now you don't have to hog on your own bandwidth and internet connection because once you get it fast like mine, you'll have MORE time to use for celebrations, reunions and talk with your family. It's these connections that count the most, because as far as I'm concerned THIS IS PRICELESS. Now go out and make memories out there, have a happy Christmas!

For those who would like to know more about the Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Home Wifi, visit www.smart.com.ph/homehelp or call 8881111 or dial *888 on your Smart mobile phones. This only costs Php 1995.00 (available via store.smart.com.ph), you can also go to Smart centers nationwide!

Now that you've got this on your list of gifts to families, let's all connect like never before this Christmas! How about that?!
