The realme 14 Pro + 5G Takes Serious Photos, Water Test Approved

Thursday, March 20, 2025

This one (realme 14 Pro + 5G) takes serious photos. (Looks nice even on lower size and FB compression)

Aside from the fact that this is endorsed by the lovely Kathryn Bernardo, there's actually a lot more to the new realme 14 Pro+ 5G. I was able to experience handling this phone for a few weeks, and by far, it's a promising one that's quite serious with photos.

I'm saying this from experience, they took us to a far flung resort in Rizal to take a real world test of what the phone can do. Needless to say, I got really good photos... but honestly, I wasn't surprised because I saw the brand they used for the triple cameras, all SONY. I've been a photographer for years now, and I've seen a lot of folks in the industry who's handled pro cameras with lenses from the same corp. Images come out sharp with true colors, so I'm expecting the same with this smartphone. Although I artistically want a more saturated output, photos from it are good without edits. It's something folks would wish on their phones, and they're pretty good at it overall, as a brand. I also carry a realme 12 which I personally use for videos, and swear by its capability to shoot on HD. This realme 14 Pro + 5G definitely shows improvement over that, anyone would love improvements right?

The realme 14 Pro + 5G also has something that wasn't being done in the previous phones, the capability to withstand water splashes, we tested that out too. Check out this unboxing video and water test we did with it.

The thing is, the marble looking version of this handset (Pearl White) has the capability to change colors according to temperature. Sure enough, when we poured cold water from a borrowed phone of that variant, it showed blue veins all over the back. The Black Suede version that I had is more muted, something that I'd want if I didn't want to stand out too much. I like that they gave us options.

This phone also has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. This makes it capable of doing even more CPU and GPU work plus AI. AI is quite useful these days both for editing photos and automation purpose. If you're also a gamer and want other work done on your phone, this makes it possible to do that. Overall, you'll love this handset if you're a casual gamer or use it mostly for social meda, a little work and daily abuse. If you are a little adventurous, the phone can withstand usual wear and tear, plus water as indicated by standards. It also carries a huge battery, 6000mAh, it can last a day and a few more hours plus charge fast with the proprietary SUPERVOOC charge that realme carries.

They have promos going on for this model on TikTok and Shopee, so if you're planning to get this phone, you better act fast (as it only is limited and subject to availability, some realme Watch S2 I heard). It costs Php 19,499 and is now available in the Philippines. Would you love a realme 14 Pro + 5G? I'm sure I would!

2 Phones, a Watch and Buds Launched at REALME FANFEST 2024

Sunday, September 01, 2024

Gateway Mall 2 was full of people. There were enthusiasts, realme fans, media and executives as they make another installment of REALME FANFEST this 2024.

Aside from the various games and activities they prepared for us, they also launched the realme 13 Pro Series, the new realme Watch S2 and the realme Buds T310.

The realme 13 Pro 5G and realme 13 Pro+ is dubbed as "DSLR in your pocket!". A tall order, but they made it possible with the Ultra Clear Camera it has armed with AI. Hardware wise, it's got a Sony LYT 600 OIS lens. They used a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 5G Chipset, 24GB RAM and 512GB Storage to make sure it performs well and doesn't run out of space for photos/videos. Inspired by Monet, they also have it in 3 different colors. Some of which have polished metal, and vegan leather at the back.

The new realme Watch S2 on the other hand has 20 day battery life, hundreds of watch faces, an AI engine and more sports and health measurement for your active lifestyle. It's also dust and water resistant, so if you run outdoors you'll have less worry. The realme Buds T310 looks extra fun now. It has noise cancellation, spatial audio and dynamic bass drivers. I enjoyed the buds predecessor and have it in my bag til now. It performs quite nice, lasts a long time. This one promises over 40 hours of playback, so imagine the songs you could play with it while doing your everyday work. The noise reduction feature comes in 3 tiers too, so if you're in a busy place, things can really be heard better with these new functions made by AI Deep Call Noise Reduction.

Techlife also showcased their best home products, I want that vacuum cleaner now :)

They also managed to do a full on dance contest at the activity center and awarded OBS Fuego Eterno the championship, the crowd loved them every bit. They also held a search for the next face of realme here influencers Diego Aranda and Sammie Amboy won it. They both got 100K cash for that and 50K worth of realme products. That's a good reason for you to join next year no?

Thanks realme for having us in your event!

REALME Philippines Opens 8 Service Centers

Saturday, January 09, 2021

I've been using my realme 6i for a little under a year now and yes, I've been enjoying it a lot especially for my vlogs since I shoot and edit them on the same phone. I also take a lot of photos with it and sure enough, it has sufficiently made my blogging life easier because I didn't have to use other phones anymore to do things. That's a whole lotta chunk of my workflow in the past because I usually edit and record on Android and edit them on iPhone.

Being the number one selling phone in the Philippines, realme has transcended to be an alternative to most Android phones here in the country, and I've seen A LOT of people using it for gaming and the stuff I do too. Now, recently, they've copped the number one spot in sales for the Philippine market, and just like what Aunt May says, with great power comes great responsibility. When units sold go so fast like that, the need for after sales support also grows which is why realme Philippines is making sure they've got everything covered. They just recently opened 8 dedicated realme service centers in the Phillippines so now, you can take your phone and have it fixed, checked out and tested in different parts of the country.

They are now open in SM North EDSA in Quezon City (which I'm so near too), in Milan Prestige Building at Calamba Laguna. There's also Emerald Business Center in Pampanga, one in Robinsons Place in Imus Cavite, one in Big Ben Complex in Batangas, Plazuela Dos which is very near my hometown in Iloilo, Eusebio Arcade which is in Bacolod and last but definitely not the least, SM Lanang Premier which is in Davao City. That just means that it's going to be easier, way better for people to seek help when their phones get broken, a really neat thing to have peace of mind when you're just starting to love the brand. The best gamers, bloggers and vloggers are already using it, so if you're keen on making that phone purchase you've been holding onto during the pandemic, this might be the thing you're looking for.

Go get your self acquainted with a realme. Support details can also be seen at https://www.realme.com/ph/support.
