Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel

Thursday, March 28, 2013

Summer's here and it wouldn't be a better season without going to world renowned beaches right here on our turf like Boracay. It's one of the best if not THE BEST beach in the world and I couldn't wait spending my vacation in spectacular White Beach.I wouldn't want to stay too far from it and the ideal place was Station 2 where it's near everything that is happening. From clubs, shopping, food and activities it's the prime spot to stay in when you are in Boracay. There's only one place I could think of and that's Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel!

Set at the spectacular 4KM stretch of Boracay's famed White Beach, this gorgeous structure boasts of 52 rooms and suites perfect for couples of families that want straight no nonsense access to the shore or a couple of minutes walk to D'Mall or D'Talipapa where food, services and souvenirs are a plenty.

My Dream Villas In France

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Working so hard the past year I have been contemplating where to go for a vacation. The usual ones would be the neighboring countries in Southeast Asia but I've grown tired traveling on most of them. This year I'll be trying my luck on backpacking in Europe. I'll be going alone but I'll try my best to raise some funds so I can get my Mom to come along. This particular trip would probably involve us to France because she wanted to go to Lourdes (because she's a devoted Catholic) while the hopeless romantic in me would prefer a night or two in Paris (the city of lights). It's also one of my dreams to shoot from a countryside shabby chic cottage so I would like to find villas in France that we could stay in. We might decide to stay a week since we would be able to save a lot than by just staying overnight. I hope I can get ample amount of vacation leave credits so this would be feasible. I want to also experience the exquisite food they are known for. Oh I can almost taste it! I want to have my own villa someday too but this would be nice to get a feel of it! This is but a dream!

Paris is legendary for its nicest lights and the Eiffel Tower. Seeing the gigantic but beautiful structure towering over the city would be the perfect way to end this trip. I would like to also get inside museums and see the artwork of the masters. Shooting landscapes and a couple of night exposures in that location would be blissful for a photographer like me. I wish to have my own villa holidays spent in Paris and elsewhere in Europe soon. I'm making a list of the requirements for VISA and planning the itinerary now. There are other countries that we would like to include too since it would be relatively easier to travel on local EU flights. I promised to visit my brother in Ireland and this would be the perfect time to do so. I'll also have to ask him about Spain and a couple of cities there. I'll have to make sure my money is spent on the greatest accommodations I could afford and still have money to splurge on a little shopping in the other countries on our list. I wouldn't stop myself to just take the train rides too so I could visit the outskirts and see the places that most tourists do not have on their plans. Oh just thinking about these makes me so excited! I'll tell you about it when all of these push through next year. Wish me luck!

No More Horror Stories!

Thursday, May 21, 2009

I'm not much of a horror movie fan but all my friends have this notion to watch every single one that is out in the market just so I could not get some sleep and get me frightened every time. Not that I was given a fright but I do have this notion that after watching this gory and blood stricken DVD, the next thing to happen is a nightmare for me. I know it sounds foolish but it is becoming automatic. I know you would laugh at me like they did but hey, I guess we just live in different worlds.

In the Philippines, it is very expensive to purchase DVD or Blue Ray Discs. Chances are, if you even had to purchase one it would only consist of old movies and re runs. You would never get to see the latest movies unless you purchase pirated copies of it which is illegal and you can eventually get jailed for. Downloading them off the Internet plays the same music because of copyright infringement laws so the best option is to go ahead and rent these for a minimal fee.

This is how most Filipinos usually spend their weekends with their family and this is how they coined the term DVD Marathon which would mean they watch it the whole day. Funny to see people glued to their TV sets that long but it really does happen in this side of the world. One thing I hate though is the instances where my friends usually watch the DVD movies instead of me. They borrow without asking as usual but I do not mind at all. It's just that if they do borrow it sometimes, they neglect to return it on time. It makes me the original borrower, pay for the corresponding dues which cost a lot in Philippine pesos. If only we had BLOCKBUSTER around the corner. I could take advantage of their Total Access Plans and have them returned by mail. My friends are all from outside the skirts of Metro Manila so if they had this option, it would really be easy to ask them and drop them off. If they also pass by these stores, they can immediately exchange it for the latest movies and take care of those pesky late fees that come with it. This is perfect for those friends who you could not say NO to. Local video stores would just be at envy if they knew it was going to be this easy. There are no more horror stories anymore with BLOCKBUSTER around!
