IKEA Philippines Officially Opens Online Store

Sunday, November 07, 2021

We all thought it was going to be too long before IKEA opens in the Philippines, but here they go over delivering with their promise to bring scandi items into the homes of Filipinos today. See, they official online store of IKEA is now open.

Georg Platzer, Store Manager of IKEA Pasay City says "We have just concluded limited test runs the past few weeks, and today, we're glad to say they we will be officially accessible to more pinoys. We will be part of the lives of a lot of folks in the Philippines who's dream would be a better life at home. We're officially opening our online store today!"

IKEA also learned a lot from the shopping habits of Filipinos as the test run showed the need for more home storage and work space items. They also have sold lots of home decors like alarm clocks, wall clocks and artificial potted plants. Aside from that, there's children's items like the soft toys, storage boxes and the play kitchen sold quite regularly. If you would want to purchase some of these items, you have to make an IKEA website account (different from the IKEA Family Account membership) which I too have registered with previously. They accept payments via major credit cards, GCash and installment with BDO.

IKEA also ships fast, as I've seen some of my friends got their products the day after. It can by delivered via truck, parcel and click and collect (where you're just gonna pick it up in the store after ordering online). If it's 30KG and up, that's going to be considered a truck delivery so make sure you're guided before you choose and checkout. Truck deliveries right now only are in Metro Manila, parcels can reach up to other parts til Quezon down south (Lucena) and Subic up north.

Best of all, the store is operating 24/7 so you can get the best IKEA products while everyone is sleeping. You may see the whole line at IKEA.ph.

Vikings: Premiers September 29 at History Channel Asia

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

I was so happy to have been able to see another talked about series ahead of the rest of Asia called VIKINGS. It's on its second season and has been able to amass its own following in the US, Europe and now Asia. It's also going to be shown on HISTORY channel which I'm so lucky about because I have it at home. You should definitely watch it on HD because it's totally worth it!

Here's a sneak peek at season II

(Video credits owned by History Channel on Youtube)

Imagine men, who promised to be brothers then went on a journey to the other end of the world. Claimed land and got victorious on different battles, but in the end met each other in different sides of the fence; end up wanting to kill each other through rough, mud and ocean water indulged brute war. It was awesome to watch the first few episodes and you'll surely get hooked seeing the twists and turns on Season II. You'll miss your Norse mythological characters all over again plus see some things more than skin, the act itself and some other unexpected scenes you would have to keep away from kids.

I highly suggest you start season 2 sitting down and concentrating on how to understand the story because even a skeptic like me really LOVED it! You will also have that time to see how honorable Ragnar Lothbrok (played by Travis Fimmel) is in the series. Plus (during the event), we even got cool stuff from the History channel too!

Vikings will be shown on HISTORY CHANNEL ASIA come September 29. It's a little late than in North America but as long as it's here I WILL PROMISE TO WATCH IT. Even if they say I'm a pagan after the show hehe. Oh and before I forget, they will be giving away a HARLEY DAVIDSON bike if you watch it on Sunday at 10PM. Just look out for the CODE WORD and enter it on http://www.vikingsasia.com/. Who knows, it could be you who'll win this! =)

Now I am Craving for Scand Can Cook!

Monday, September 29, 2008

I enjoy watching cooking shows, yeah you know some of them but this one I'm telling you about is "Scand Can Cook"... since we have cable TV it's easily accessible for me.. but for others who just tune in to regular free TV I guess they should read why I like this stuff...

Tina Nordström is your host and chef in the next season of New Scandinavian Cooking. The charming Tina is by far Sweden’s most celebrated TV-chef. She has built up a big audience in Sweden, Denmark and Norway and her cookbooks have become enormously popular. Get ready for Tina Nordström!

For starters, I read that Scandinavia is a group of Nordic Countries that are geographically situated together. Norway, Sweden and Denmark, with some sources also including the nations of Finland and Iceland consists this group. They however do not have a mark in world cuisine like the French, Americans and Chinese do. Much like Filipino dishes that is starting to tap the world market, Scandinavian cooking is already gaining popularity and how I wish I could get to taste some of the things Tina Nordstrom made on the cooking show... I especially like the way she prepares things, its so simple. Sometimes there are even odd things on the menu... but really they look scrumptious... (maybe I'm just writing again because of hunger!) aaaarghh!

Vodka marinated Sirloin!

Ohhh! The meatballs and potatoes! Yum-o!

They had so many cheeses and just have them marinated in vodka, other alcohols and a couple of spices... geeze... I'm a cheese lover... even those which are not that popular in the Philippines... I like bleu cheese a lot... I know it tastes funky and strong but it's an acquired taste.. now I am addicted to it... I have them on salads, breads and even pizza!

(-_-)" Oh well, I maybe really hungry... lolz... guess I'll have to satisfy myself here with mah cup of tea... I can't eat coz I ate too much pasta earlier and I need to work out later after shift... dang! How can I get thinner if these things always get into mah head... well its a good thing I bought myself a new gymbag... nothing fancy but fits the purpose of getting all my stuff in one pack!

Maybe later I'll stop craving for stuff and get serious working out... lolz... Lord, if I don't get thinner... I hope my friends and everyone else gets fatter! nyahahah!
