SEF CADAYONA Has His Own Island?

Friday, December 10, 2021

It's been a couple of years of good career choices that got Sef Cadayona where he is today. The Kapuso actor and comedian has gotten renewed again in the network and GMA Artist Center, his management that he trusts especially about the projects he made. He's gone so far than just appearing in commercials with a 20 peso bill and now does iconic show Bubble Gang regularly, and Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kwento in the same network. He's seen as the next Michael V which he attributes a lot of what he learned from the craft of comedy, including TVJ which he had the chance to work with previously.

Sef says "Kuya Bitoy shows you the ropes but he allows you to do what you want to do. The boost of confidence was enormous. I have also worked with Bossing Vic and I've learned the humor of classics, it's still funny. Because he taught me timing. Never stop learning, I have to still improve on what I'm good at. They say I'll be surprised at what I can do."

True enough, he's already had several shows in his belt and plans to continue to do so in the next year. Sef trusts the network and his management, he's gotten to purchase an island of his own as he divulged in this interview.

His success stems from the hard work and passion he's put in on his craft and it's not surprising he has been able to support his family, a home and a lot of other things he need for the business. Imagine, he was just doing Starstruck a few years ago, and look at him now! That's talent right there, and GMA has him taken cared of.

Congratulations again on renewing ties with GMA!

Sef Cadayona Celebrates Birthday with Dumagat Tribe

Thursday, May 26, 2016

Having celebrity status has it's pros and cons but it all boils down to what you do with the fame, the fortune and the opportunities presented to you. Just a few weeks ago, it was Sef Cadayona's birthday. He's been in the business for quite a while now and he's been doing good in several shows like Juan Tamad and Bubble Gang, plus produced and directed a couple of shows too. He's been awarded by different bodies and lauded by his peers - he's an excellent comedian bar none. On this day, he wanted to give back so he chose a tribe in Luzon called the Dumagats. They hail from the same negrito lineage as with the aeta's (earliest inhabitants of the Philippines) but reside elsewhere, particularly in Bulacan - Quezon. They are nomadic in nature so they usually stay in one place and leave when they need to. They're a community but they're not really that well off, and Sef wanted to give a little of what he can.

Sef joined in on activities. They played several games and then proceeded to give gifts courtesy of Sef and his sponsors. He was also helped by NGOs Pink Women on Fire, the SPIN Project and assisted by Brother Martin of the Dumagat tribe. It was really easy, no fuss and they all wanted to be entertained that afternoon. Little did they know that Sef also had a secret up his sleeve. Sef wanted to give a special gift to the Dumagat tribe which is a real deal water filtration system. It has the capacity to convert existing deep-well water (which the community has as their only source of water) and make it clean and potable. After the short presentation, they gave a live demonstration on how it works. They taught several elders of the Dumagat tribe. This water filtration system project was produced and executed with the help of SPIN Project. They're an NGO who's goal is to provide clean and potable drinking water to remote communities like these. These water filtration systems are also solar powered and may get them up to 2400 glasses of drinking water. It's also kept with minimal maintenance which would be easy for the tribe. The SPIN Project’s founder Frederick Epistola was also present, happy to have seen the Dumagat tribe use it as well.

It was a great way to spend his birthday, and his happiness stemmed from the instance that he was able to help in his own little way. It will improve the lives of the Dumagat Tribe in this community and he wishes he would be able to help more people in the coming years, putting what he has to good use.

Happy birthday Sef! Wanted to see you on this day but I guess it was a little hard because of the location. Congratulations and hope you do more real soon!

Max Collins Celebrates Birthday with Kids in Makati

Friday, September 11, 2015

We celebrated the birthday of Max Collins last month at the YWCA Compound in Makati. She's been blessed with several shows on GMA including Innamorata, Illustrado, Kailan Ba Tama ang Mali and now add to that the new Sef Cadayona starrer Juan Tamad. This center houses a baptist community church and the Pastor with his wife are good friends of Max. You can say some of the communities are pretty depressed here so holding a small party with the kids would really make them happy, a thing that Max says is very close to her heart. This is also organized in part by Pink Women on Fire, an organization that helps underprivileged children.

After saying a prayer or two, they started playing several games and served food for the kids from West Rembo. Some of them live in shanties and places in Pasig River so you can tell this is much like a needed boost for them. They also learn a thing or two because it's like Sunday school in the center so they learn a lot about God and good manners through mediums like story telling and activities.

Thanks to Max Collins' sponsors Black Water, MET, Zagu, Aquabest and her BENCH Family for all the toys and goodies they gave the kids. She also thanks GMA Artist Center for organizing a simple but meaningful charity event for her. Even if she's a little sick, she told us how happy she is to have been able to at least spend a few hours with the kids. As long as they're happy, she's happy.

Make sure you watch her show Juan Tamad as she plays the role of Marie Guiguinto, who is Juan Tamad's love interest in the program. She's also with veteran actors Roi Vinzon, Marissa Sanchez, Gene Padilla, Melanie Marquez and RJ Padilla. Their guests include Jaclyn Jose, Rocco Nacino, Carlos Agassi, Caloy Alde, Alden Richards and a lot more so watch out for that. This is a production of GMA News and Public Affairs.

Happy birthday Max!
