Thursday, February 02, 2023

If you're missing the iconic MOJOS from Shakey's, I bare good news for you.

The iconic golden, crispy fried slices of potato dipped in special breading and spices is back in all branches of Shakey's in the Philippines. January must have been so hard for patrons of Shakey's as the supply for the spuds were hampered globally. For sure, just like me, you were really heartbroken. We all had ourselves try out MOJO flavored fries for a while and now, Shakey's just announced its comeback!

Starting February 2, you can get your favorite Mojos for your dine-in, take-out and delivery orders so you can get them fresh and hot today!

You can now order Mojo's and Dip, Basket of Mojos, Mojos Supreme and Chicken n Mojos for the whole family. If you want to follow updates about the release, go check their social channels @shakeysph or Shakey's Philippines on their Facebook page.

Where Do I Go Next?!

Tuesday, November 09, 2010

I have been traveling for quite a while. I love how it feels to get to know the culture and the people on the street. This goes the same with any other country I plan to visit. I will pretty soon conquer the UK and I will have my brother take short breaks with me. Since he is busy in Ireland I wouldn't be able to just pull him out on weekdays and maybe on the weekend it'll be more feasible. Do you see deer on the photo? There's a lot more where that came from and it is just a few kilometers away from my brother's house. I can always travel but there's something in my mind that bugs me if he doesn't come along with me. He needs a break too and if that requires us to do it nearby I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

I love the weekend and if ever it's going to be the shortest day I have to go out with my brother it is okay just as long as it is with him. This goes the same with my friends too. I have a lot and to tell you honestly I've been doing this for quite some time now. I am currently choosing vacation packages on line and I would love to explore more of the countryside. Have you thought of where to go next?

Water Shortage In Manila

Thursday, February 25, 2010

It looks like the inevitable happened. There is a looming water shortage in the Philippines and currently they are already rationing water supplies in some parts of Visayas and Mindanao. I wonder what led to this mess aside from the EL NINO phenomenon. Way back then, it was already a big joke if you tell people that we will pay for bottled water. It was such a preposterous idea but look at us now... even kids nowadays do not drink straight from the faucet because of the dangers concerning its potability.

My brother got stomach ache his whole stay here 2 years ago because he just had ice that was made with water off the faucet which would mean there is already something wrong with it. It does not seem to be getting better every day. If in a few months and we do not get rain in the La Mesa Water shed which supplies around 80 percent of our drinking water in Manila then it would mean disaster to all of us. I wonder what the government is doing aside from rationing, people need to do cloud seeding and stuff like that to start rain as soon as possible. I don't know where we are going to end up now that we have this problem with water. This was supposed to be a joke a few years ago and look at us now. Even electricity is going to be scarce. We should get something sourced now through NUCLEAR or Hydroelectric or solar since we are in a tropical climate. Someone should think about this and do some measures now before its too late!
