Kaye Cal Signs And Releases New Album Under Star Music

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Looks like Kaye Cal is going places as she signs up with Star Music, ABSCBN's recording arm. The good news is she's also releasing her first solo album under the label. Now going solo from Ezra Band the PGT Grand Finalist is extremely happy about her self titled album, which includes 9 tracks and 2 original songs namely Rosas and "Mahal Ba Ako ng Mahal Ako".

What's exciting to also note is a collaboration between her, Maya and Michael Pangilinan which will give you a soulful rendition of "Kung Ako Na Lang Sana".

Kaye says "I didn't know how to pursue my passion and I was caught between staying with my band and going solo. It took some time and my band decided to stay in Davao where we are based. It took some time to license the songs too and we met for a couple of projects for OPM, where I became a finalist under Himig Handog. I think I made the right decision. My inspiration is Team Kaye Cal, I'm single and it's so sad! (she kids). I'm not into dark stuff, I'm a bit on the softer side, a bit sweet and loveable, and I think that is interpreted into the songs I do. I would like to work with Gary Valenciano an Nyoy Volante if it's possible, I think the songs would turn out great if we did an acoustic song together. We'll have a series of shows and a concert which will happen very soon and I hope everybody I love would be there."

Star Music's Jonathan Manalo says "We want to welcome the most beautiful voices in OPM today, you all know where she started. She also did a couple of songs which are all included now in the album, you'll see how this solo artist will make it with sheer talent."

She also has written some of the songs in this album and says it's going to be personal and hopes that her fans would love it like she does. In some way, she put her heart and soul into this as she needs to "re-introduce" herself in the industry as a lone artist. She sounds so good in the album and if you hear her sing live, even better. Honestly I thought she was a guy, she says she's a proud lesbian and I don't even think that should be an issue, she's an incredible singer bar none!

You may get her album in digital stores and leading record bars nationwide!

Yeng Constantino: All About Love

Friday, December 12, 2014

Yeng Constantino just released her newest album "All About Love", and we recently talked to her during a small blog conference in Don Henricos, a restaurant located in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. She says "I used to only listen to Rock music as a preference but now I'm more open to any kind of music. I wanted to have several people to be part of the album. In a long drive to Tagaytay, we listened to a couple of his compositions and what I heard there made me know him more. I wanted to include several of his songs in this album on the spot. I want something to symbolize this album and it's a good thing we got BJ Pascual to shoot. All the concept, the shots, it was all great. I want people to remember this album as the one who has the rose on it because it is after all "All About Love". I want to do everything to be worked on perfectly before releasing it because I don't want to shortchange my fans. I am happy for the support of my Cornerstone family, Star Records who worked with me all the way.

We'll also be working on a music video to be shot entirely in Japan. I want it to be done during "Sakura" aka Cherry Blossom season because I love the scenes at that time. I want to wear paper umbrellas, kimonos, under a tree, I'm seeing so many things that I can do there. I also wish to have time to bring the ICON concerts all over the Philippines because I know a lot of people are requesting for it. When we also made this album I had initial fears because it might be done haphazardly because I wasn't in love when this started but when I got him, I never doubted. It was something I want to do in order to reach more people. The musicality, everyone would relate with it. I want it to be something inspiring for the people who would want to listen.

I have a blog and I want to write  my thoughts about life and love, it might be seasonal but it's true. I will not retaliate with hatred because that doesn't really matter to me. I am happy with my family, happy with my supporters and I can only think that these trolls who work behind the keyboard, I am so sad they are wasting so much time with someone who doesn't even care. That's what I learned from my Dad, when I enjoy something, I go ahead and do it. Good vibes."

She also hopes you can get her album released in stores and record bars. Please also support the video of "Ikaw" which is her pre-nup anthem. All About Love, is all about love and it's personal. She thanks her sponsors, Yengsters who have been with her all the way. Her soon to be husband too, she can't wait to be with him this February, for real.

Rose Fostanes: My Way

Tuesday, June 17, 2014

Rose Fostanes sings "This is my life"

Filipina caregiver Rose "Osang" Fostanes sang her heart out a few days ago in a press dinner at Sir Boy's Food Republic in Quezon City. Rose Fostanes won the hearts of people worldwide for winning XFactor Israel which happened a couple months ago. She went back to the Philippines to record and promote her own album released by Star Records. She happily waved the thing when we sat down with her that evening. She laments "This is it, this is my dream! I now have my own album!".

I have already known her story because I followed her journey in XFactor Israel in Youtube videos but I didn't know how much struggle she has gone through being an OFW. Her family is so proud of her because she has fulfilled a life long dream at the age of 45. It's a little late she says but she's so happy she won the stint even if she's not an Israeli. She also says it was awesome to see the Israeli's to be so genuinely good to her. No matter how flawed some of her songs are, they still applaud her normally. She is a little sad though that some Pinoys have been too critical about her performances and says she reads all those comments from websites. She is a little sad but hopeful that this in some way would change. Going back to her album, she says this has been a really good blessing for her and she also hopes that Filipinos would appreciate how much work is put in in these songs. Her interpretations of classics and the new songs from world class composers was a surprise. I even heard something very pop and modern which she says was given to her in Israel even if she didn't win XFactor yet, a number that you should never miss to listen to. Who knows, she might end up hitting the charts soon and get played regularly in the airwaves, something that she wishes to see soon.

She hopes that you continue to support her like the time you watched her in X Factor Israel. "Rose Fostanes: My Way" is now available in major record stores nationwide and is released by Star Records.
