UNIQLO Set to Launch JW Anderson Line on the 14th

Wednesday, October 05, 2022

It was certainly a fresh look at basics when UNIQLO showcased their Fall/Winter 2022 collection. It's a combination of new creations, useful basic clothing that is interpreted by different designers they worked with this particular season. It wasn't all dark and wintery, as a matter of fact, I kinda like what they did with staples worn by Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Vlogger Restaurateur Erwan Heussaff. Matteo Guidicelli also shared his favorites especially the jackets and athleisure wear.

I personally paid attention to the several Tweed Jackets, Plaids, Wool, mostly from the JW ANDERSON collection. I also loved the new UT shirts and the classic ones that are making a comeback with designs of Capcom and Sega characters like MEGAMAN, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pacman since this is also their 20th Anniversary.

The new JW Anderson line is also going to be unveiled on the 14th. Much of the clothes will reflect British architecture, the rustic flare and they're keeping it very minimalist. It's going to be functional, but won't stay plain earthy. They'll be doing colors and color blocking, a bit more modern than usual. The release will have 12 pieces for women, 8 for men and 2 accessories. You can visit their flagship store in Glorietta 5 or SM Megamall if you want first dibs on the 14th, you can also visit their website https://www.uniqlo.com/ph/en/contents/collaboration/jwanderson/22fw/ to see the whole line.

The holidays are near, you might want to spruce up that wardrobe of yours since it's going to be a little nippy.

UNIQLO Fall/Winter Collection 2020

Thursday, August 27, 2020

One of the world’s most loved clothing brand Uniqlo just launched their fall winter collection today. In the Philippines, they held a live stream for the event featuring the season’s best looks, bar none.

Yes Sustainable Cities, outdoors, work and craft, and design is their call this season.   Urban landscapes, an inspiration to the sportswear they came out with today.

Those Dry Ex pieces shown are phenomenal, perfect for working out or just an ordinary day. It stays soft and comfy, and still give you freedom for movement. Outdoors can be nice with their parkas, ultra stretch shorts modeled by Pia Wurtzbach.

Work and Craft pieces are modular, easy to layer, dry stretch easy shorts, draped shirts, dry piqued polo shirts, light trench coats and jersey relaxed jackets are all neat, the flannel shirts are soft, which can be used for everyday wear. They have soft satin material, tapered fit, shows off your figure in the right places. Smart pants, stylish all the time, but never forgets comfort. They also have 2 way stretch that makes movement effortless, kick every a$$ when you need to, wherever.   Design, which are all inspired by architecture, fashion. They have pieces like Georgette Sleeved blouses, wrinkle resistant dresses that can be worn in formal or any occasion. Made of materials that are soft and comfy, they also have ankle pants, marino fabric used for shirts, so you feel fresh all day. Lifewear is evolving.

Uniqlo U, is all simplified wardrobe. Cristophe Lamiere did U Long Sleeve Shirts, Hana Tajima also made clothing that adapts to women’s bodies. Classy, very feminine, still using fall winter colors. The Ines de la Fressange line on the other hand had some really cool looking coats, extra fine merino strapped clothes, which you can layer in cold to nippy weather, but still remain the woman you are. They also do sustainable products and put technology on textile, even put rinsing water recycling on the Zongzhan Yida pieces and their other lines, that’s fine. Sustainable cities with lifewear, their motto.

Airism is as usual, it’s basic, smooth and comfortable. Hot sun, freezing air, there won’t be anything that these line of clothing can’t handle. People are working, hot outside and yes they do perspire, this just releases the heat. Those drastic temperature changes won’t stand a chance with it. They also have bra camisoles, keep you cool and dry for those sunny days. The men can have the Airism polo shirts, enjoy the cool to the touch fabric that is also present in the new - more oversized shirts, they have too.

Super love the pants! want!

Life’s needs in mind, UNIQLO presents a very nice collection this fall and winter season. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re already checking out the uniqlo website or the uniqlo app because it’s all going to be available there.

I’m about to shop, see you there!

Dress Like the Brits at Uniqlo

Saturday, November 02, 2019

British fashion for me always refers to something formal, chic and classy. The thing is, it's not all London... and we have to think back how these different parts of the UK actually give the persona to what is is for the Brits. We tend to forget how lovely and raw the great British outdoors is, and how it has given so much inspiration to JW Anderson with his recent collaboration with UNIQLO. He's Jonathan Anderson, regarded as one of the most innovative and forward thinking designers of his kind. He debuted in 2008's London Fashion week and has never stopped reppin eversince.

This is part of the Fall/Winter Collection 2019 and is now available in UNIQLO stores in the Philippines. Honestly, I wasn't supposed to cover this and just wait for friends in the nearby coffee shop, but am glad they got us to see this ahead of everyone. After all, the Filipinos are going global and our travel essentials are becoming varied. The British outdoors are all cold, breezy, layered and played with leather, plaid, fleeces, jackets and kilts. Now we have a choice because UNIQLO carries them all!

I like what I saw!

Thick but light jackets with shades of fall, a little mustard or darker beige, pretty outside and very comfy. It will still let a little coolness in, but probably protect you from intense cold. This collection reminds me of the Queen's hunting sessions. Just throw in a mallard on a belt and call it a day, I kid.

Jonathan used a lot of plaid. His shirts dives on the lifestyle of woodchucks but not in Canada, which they then paired with kilts and layered with another lined jacket.

There were also knitted wear, some thick pieces that remind me of sheep's wool, but lighter.

Another essential, some bonnets and scarves made of the same warm material.

I was also looking intently at these lovely socks. May it be for formal occasions or a usual day, this would be so nice to peek under your trousers.

I think it's high time we get to also take our fashion sense a notch up by wearing these kilt like skirts, albeit being designed for women, it would look good on men too.

These bags were wonderful! A man bag which you can switch in and out, so you're basically getting two for the price of one. It also has straps to carry around like a knapsack. I like this a lot!

This one was good too, a bit fleece like but more of a thin sweater with sliced sides. If you're just going out for a stroll, or maybe in a tropical country that got a little nippy, this would get the job done.

Again, another essential are trousers. Theirs is a more dressed up type for luxurious forest trips, glamping, or just casual occasions. This is pretty trendy now and I'm not surprised.

The JW Anderson collection is now available in UNIQLO stores in the country and if you're up to it, make a trip down to your nearby mall or this one in Glorietta 5 because it's only gonna be there season long! It's time to dress like the Brits, and this would be a good place to start. It's classics designed for today!
