Yesterday was great. I and my wifey had time to watch a movie. I found myself immediately lining up for "Ang Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat!"paid the expensive tickets as my wifey bought popcorn and drinks. The movie is one of the entries in the 34th Annual 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival. The occasion is considered historical because it included an animated film for the first time as one of its official entries. Of course it was this movie that I watched because I had the chance to watch the first one last year with friends. With the few Filipino films I watch, its quite optimistic to see that I never fail to support one of the most hilarious persons I know (Ai Ai Delas Alas)... not to mention I was really laughing hard because of my personal comedic idol Eugene Domingo. I strongly recommend you watch this one specially the part where they were stopped by PSG... Eugene was particularly crazy there!
Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat was lots of fun!

The awards given in the festival was okay... nothing that is not expected... they still play in the canned box of givng awards that have quality instead of entertainment value at box office gross:

They also release initial day figures for these movies, mostly the one I watched and Iskul Bukol... 20 years after had the highest earnings since they have a huge fan base.

In these tough times, people still need to laugh. You couldn't even see that we were in a recession because of the millions of pesos that went into the movies. Filipinos are really weird... when the world is in the economic crunch we find ways to be happy. That's what's great huh?!
