Zenni Optical : The Freedom to Choose

Wednesday, December 31, 2008

It’s a holiday today where I am; a day for the national hero of the Philippines. In this part of the world, there are hundreds of eyeglass retailers offering their best prices to woo customers into buying their merchandise. If you think about it though, their prices have changed dramatically over the years. Things definitely became expensive and some people would rather battle out their eye problems and endure the pain than to pay for spectacles. These are much like heroes in the movies, where they get hurt in the beginning; but this one is for the books.

In the recession that is shaking economic confidence around the world, people need to have smart choices in order to save money. These are tough times; even the US President elect acknowledges it. We are at an era where every single dollar saved counts. Instead of getting expensive prescription glasses from your optometrists or ophthalmologists, you can always have these instead. Paying eye glasses for $300 - $400 a pop just isn’t right anymore. I like these $8 spectacles I saw when I checked out their website.

The high end, fashion forward groups are all for signature/designer glasses. They don't really care about the prices. They know things that look good on them. What if you had the best of both worlds? Holiday frames on their website shows you lots of models fit for any lifestyle. What if you had the chance to get what you want that looks good on you yet stays affordable? Thousands have made their choice and opted to buy in this online store http://www.zennioptical.com. They have been featured in a few shows in the U.S. like Good Morning America and Fox News. There are a lot of people attesting to the quality of the eyeglasses from them, so why be left behind? Your freedom to choose dictates one thing, http://www.zennioptical.com.

KUMAGCOW MOOOVIE REVIEWS: Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat!

AiAi Delas Alas in the sequel of her hit movie... hits theaters Dec 25

Yesterday was great. I and my wifey had time to watch a movie. I found myself immediately lining up for "Ang Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat!"paid the expensive tickets as my wifey bought popcorn and drinks. The movie is one of the entries in the 34th Annual 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival. The occasion is considered historical because it included an animated film for the first time as one of its official entries. Of course it was this movie that I watched because I had the chance to watch the first one last year with friends. With the few Filipino films I watch, its quite optimistic to see that I never fail to support one of the most hilarious persons I know (Ai Ai Delas Alas)... not to mention I was really laughing hard because of my personal comedic idol Eugene Domingo. I strongly recommend you watch this one specially the part where they were stopped by PSG... Eugene was particularly crazy there!

Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat was lots of fun!
Trailer from Star Cinema

The awards given in the festival was okay... nothing that is not expected... they still play in the canned box of givng awards that have quality instead of entertainment value at box office gross:

3rd Best Festival Picture - Iskul Bukol 20 Years After
2nd Best Festival Picture - Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat
Best Picture - Baler

They also release initial day figures for these movies, mostly the one I watched and Iskul Bukol... 20 years after had the highest earnings since they have a huge fan base.

1. Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat - 20.9 million pesos
2. Iskul Bukol… 20 Years After - 18.9 million pesos
3. Shake Rattle and Roll X - 13.1 million pesos
4. Desperadas 2 - 7.0 million pesos
5. Baler - 5.3 million pesos
6. One Night Only - 1.5 million pesos
7. Dayo - 1.2 million pesos
8. Magkaibigan - 0.6 million pesos

In these tough times, people still need to laugh. You couldn't even see that we were in a recession because of the millions of pesos that went into the movies. Filipinos are really weird... when the world is in the economic crunch we find ways to be happy. That's what's great huh?!

Pope Benedict XVI Christmas Message

Thursday, December 25, 2008

Pope Benedict XVI waves to faithful during the 'Urbi et Orbi' (to the City and to the World)

The Pope's message this Christmas season was simple... "DO NOT BE SELFISH".. in the world where the existing problems are also haunted by today's crisis, he asks everyone to decry a simple thing... selfishness. I know for a fact that there are people who earned millions in the banking industry. These bunglers spelled the collapse of the world's biggest corporations... and they should be the one to follow these words.... that's if they know how to do it... and if they really know what it means. They are all greedy.. and they should be put to jail for doing this to the world's economies.

Other parts of his speech included those who are at war, those who are hungry... we all should do our share to help them in any way we can. What if you lived in that part of the world? Would you weather hunger in Africa?... would you dodge bullets in Israel and Palestine territories? He's right.... we all should do our share to help... I hope he visits countries next so he could inspire people to do his deed. =) Merry Christmas everyone!

Knowledge is Power On Payday Loans

Knowledge is power on payday loans.

There are several people I know in the country that would not be able to survive tough times because they seldom run out of funds in the bank. This happens if there are some minor or major emergencies like if their kids get hospitalized, or when relatives or friends borrow money from them. In the eve of a major financial crisis looming the world's economies, everybody needs someone to run to. To alleviate them of the sudden need for money, they too would need somewhere to put their credit. Nice companies like Yellow Leaf Financial would be nice people to turn to for hassle free payday loans.

Sometimes, lenders take a different path in entertaining people that need money. Percentages of these short term loans preposterously skyrocket because companies take advantage of the borrower as they know the need for the currency. It would be nice if they maintain high standards like Yellow Leaf Financial does, because they understand your situation and only propose loans that are very reasonable in today's standards.

Payday loans here and around the world are done to have fast credit before the borrower's salary comes in. You also need someone that would be able to process accounting and your papers fast since these are the times where you normally walk in the boulevard of broken dreams. If you have no one else to turn to and have easy access to cash, you should take matters to your own hand but never forget to be responsible to pay for it as well. Your personal credit rating would take you places if you plan to put up businesses in the future. Taking care of your finances is another thing; if it means that it is for your own survival then don't hesitate to do it for your own family. There are many entities that you can go to for help. Yellow Leaf Financial is online fast and efficient, you must know how to choose establishments like them because US standards usually have most of their rates frequently pegged at $25 per $100, or 650% annual interest rates. Make sure you also do your part to have the loan repaid in two weeks or whichever applies. You won’t have any problem with loans if you keep this attitude. Payday lending is indeed a very controversial practice and faces both legal battles and public perception challenges in nearly every country where it is practiced I know. In a nutshell, knowing how these institutions work, self control and their financial systems is the key. Yellow Leaf Financial seems transparent enough for anybody so I don’t think you would have problems with them. I would borrow if I needed it, but I’ll pay for it as soon as possible. Thank God! I think my parents did something right.
