Major Renovations Ahead!

Thursday, August 06, 2009

This morning my Mom and I talked about renovating the kitchen. Since we needed parts of it fixed, might as well completely tear the house apart so they can eliminate problems with termite infestation since most of it is wood. The counter top needs updating so I recommended they get marble slabs for that and the bathroom sink. It would be classy to get one on a post 70's designed house like ours.

This was definitely going to be costly but what can we do, we need to do it before September when my relatives arrive. I would not want them to stare at the old dilapidated ceiling when it rains. That is if the almost 60 typhoons that the country suffers do not get here first. I wonder how much it is going to cost me this time.

Maybe I have to get back to the drawing board and whip up something for my Mom to approve on. She knows these things but then if I do not get inspired within the next few weeks, I would probably start staring on a blank wall because they will probably end up looking ordinary. I wish it would look something like this in the picture.

Wish me luck!

August , 2009 : The Meeting with Boss @ Shangrila Hotel

Richard, Jesse, Vince, Tarik, Bernadette and Kennette

It was a tiring day today... but it was great! My boss from the US is in town to meet with us, his people from Manila. It was a relaxed and a great exchange of ideas transpired on what we hope will be the next phase of our project. In the coming months, there will be huge changes in the work that we do. The Internet has various highways, and it seems we will be touching all of them. From social networks, messaging systems and other media, the list just goes on and on. We will never stop creating avenues for the service that we do.

We also talked about a lot of things, about how his trip went in Davao and Cagayan De Oro. The extremities between those cities and how horrible Manila is. It was from a foreigners view so it was quite amusing to hear. He was even updated to local politics so it wasn't an ordinary talk... it spanned everything in the US, Jordan and the differences of how things work in the Philippines. He was a little tired though because he traveled from China, Malaysia and the 2 provinces Philippines. I hope he enjoyed every bit of it since I know the team had a huge boost of morale because he visited us here. Not to mention Shangrila Hotel was posh hehehe. Here's the pictures!

Maximize the Potential of your Web Site

Wednesday, August 05, 2009

Advertising has been an essential part of marketing strategies here and around the globe. With the economies facing huge losses last year, it has been proven to be an effective way of getting ordinary consumers to buy and purchase goods on line. Without this medium, it would be slower to sell products and services in the United States and elsewhere in the world.

The tale of the tape in these tough times is how you would reach the customers. The Internet has millions of users each day. If you do not tell people about your product this way, you will lose a large share of the market. Relevant advertisements should only show in what web sites they visit so you directly attract the curb of their enthusiasm. This is what MY CONTEXTUAL ADS come in. Site owners ask the question: How Much Money Can I Make? And the real earnings from advertising companies usually depend on the CPS and CPM which is difficult as far as conversion is concerned because you end up pointing fingers on fraud and falsified information. This was how giant GOOGLE handled their clients before and it really is disappointing when some of them are victims of click bombs and other malicious individuals. They do not even have a working appeals system in place and site owners suffer in the long run. MY CONTEXTUAL ADS is different because they maximize the earning potential of web masters and also run an All Gain and No Pain Referral Progarm where you can invite other site owners to avail their services. You would not find any other company that would match their customer service too as a matter of fact. You must try this because the terms are so easy and there are no hidden charges. This will definitely make life easier for you and your readers so make sure you sign up now!

CORY AQUINO Laid to Rest

I woke up this evening looking at recent events on TV. It's already around 9PM and they were only about done with the funeral of Corazon Aquino. I can imagine people have been there since 5AM this morning. News people have probably not eaten yet, guests probably also have not taken dinner or lunch. A bunch of the crowd were also barging in the fence, some of them were stopped by the police, but it was just that impromptu that they all went in at the same time so they were able to go half way... almost in the bridge. There were reported people that were hurt, some were already going home at around 9:30PM but there is still HUGE traffic in that are so it would really take a couple of hours before they can all get back to QC and other parts of the metro.

I like what I saw earlier, Baby James was putting in some flowers for the late President. You can hear Kris coaching him and saying "good boy!" at his back. It was a nice to see, I would have gone if it were not raining. I would have gone if I was not going to report for work. It's going to be quite difficult though because my boss is in town and we will meet him tomorrow afternoon. I'm on the graveyard shift too so go figure! I'll probably be barely getting some sleep so wish me luck!

I hope I get to finish my reports now so I can start on some of the other things I need to blog about. Not to mention the hundreds of things that I have to read so I can understand the things I'm goin over with my boss... I'm nervous obviously.

I hope and pray Corazon Aquino may rest in peace...Millions of Filipinos love her... I do too... my condolences to her family too.
