Sorry I'm Sick

Wednesday, October 07, 2009

Well it's the start of my shift in the office but I'm sick. Yeah, I have colds, cough and probably flu. I wish I could go home and rest but I think I won't be enjoying that anyway so I'm staying in the office instead. Hopefully no on will be getting any viruses from me. I am under medication and am feeling a lot better than when I got out of the office this morning.

Well half meant but it's really getting better I hope. The weather is getting better, I hope to be done with this soon so I could work without grimacing every time my nose hurts. A runny nose while typing and looking at things don't go together but I think I am surviving.

I'm even hungry... all I ate this morning was soups and salad. Not really what I was looking for but it was just so so. I wish the medicine just work the moment I take it. Why does everything have to be so hard... it should have been instantaneous!

I hope I would feel better later =)

Oh Canada! Check Out How to Win Your Dream Kitchen!

Tuesday, October 06, 2009

Canada has been like a second home for me. Almost all my relatives have migrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba during the 80's and have established better lives there. Some of them work for the Government and some of them work for private institutions. Some of them also have put up their own businesses and have built their lives better than when they were here. They are the same people that read my articles from time to time. With that in mind, this particular news is for them. I am writing for them now!

This is their chance to have a kitchen makeover. Yes it's true! Maple Leaf Market just recently announced that they are giving away a $32,000 Dream Kitchen and 12 Frigidaire® fridges to celebrate the launch of their new web site everyday! I just visited them and boy was I surprised how easy it was to navigate through their menus and the graphics were all outstanding! It feels like you were talking directly to the butcher, the Baker and the Pasta Maker. They even suggest easy meals while you are at it. There is really nothing better than home cooked meals but they just made it easier for everyone to cook since they have all the things prepared in the store. We can probably just grab them from a store near you, go home, put them in one pot, and then wait for it to cook! I love the part where the butcher even demonstrates how to prepare beef medallions and chicken because I could probably ask my relatives out for barbecue! Yum-O!

If I win that kitchen they are giving away, I would probably have a modern one and get the best appliances to follow a monochromatic theme. I would also like to have a simple yet functional one with a bar so I could entertain people while I cook. So make sure you join this contest today and get that dream kitchen of yours into reality!

SOLD OUT! : UE Red Warriors vs Ateneo Blue Eagles

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen... the game between UE and Ateneo tomorrow is already sold out according to ticketnet people. There were a couple of students and alumni from UE who lined up in Araneta this morning only to find out they ran out of tickets. It is sad because there were lots of scalpers and Yaya's and Drivers who probably purchased tickets for Atenistas... a not so fair way of getting tickets IMHO.

Imagine last Game # 2 they even got some of the seats from UE side. I really wonder where and when these guys would stop being unfair in hoarding tickets... this was also the case in the Ateneo DLSU games a couple of years back. There should be an outright equal distribution of tickets so we can blow them away with Warrior battlecry's come Game number 3 tomorrow. I would bet they would never out cheer UE... I saw them trying that and the only time they were successful was on their OBF cheer... not impressive... they will hear boos from me hahahaha!

Look, even the mythical 5 says it all... UE got spots for Elmer Espiritu and Paul Lee!

I
t has been 5 months since I have taken photography seriously and have amassed about 5000 or more pictures. This is because I have been a lot of places and taken this hobby of mine into another level ever since I got my D60 camera. My hard drive space is closely filling up because I have been taking raw images since the very beginning as advised by my mentors so I could post process them easily. I have taken in consideration purchasing additional storage but I guess it is quite expensive. I would have to save quite an amount before I could buy network storage that would fit my need.

In the meantime, I would need to have my backups done on CD and DVD since that is the cheaper alternative. I may have to consider getting professionals to do this job since I would not want to lose months of information and images. I know the feeling of losing years of work because I have not secured people who know what they are doing. I lost 4 years of email when I got some random friend do that handy work for me. I do not want to be completely disappointed when it comes to these. DVD Mastering in Boston has never been better. It is one place to go to for graphic and print production facilities. They take care of these needs and let experts do the job for you. The DVD Mastering Boston has; sets it apart from state competitors because they believe in not sacrificing quality. I would not want to commit the same mistake I did a couple of months ago. I had to re associate all my sent items just to have a vague description of my in box because I never recovered my files. The CD Mastering Boston takes pride for is another thing to look at because they also are at par with the world's best when it comes to duplication, and Digital Offset Printing. Make the right choice like what people are doing in the Boston area and you would never be afraid of losing tons of work!
