When AUNT JEMIMA Moved

Thursday, February 11, 2010

I miss the time my Aunt was here. I still remember the things we used to do when I was younger. I always get to tag along with her traveling here and out of town because most of the time I was allowed to do so by my folks. I try as much as I can not to be a burden to her since most of the time the meetings she had to go to in far flung places were work related. It started my training to be a little independent early on. It was a good thing and I really appreciate it a lot when she says nice things about me after that. Until such time, they had to move to Irvine California since her folks are already based there. I love going to their place even if I had to travel from Fresno with my Mom back in 1995. Although we were able to do it on a weekend, she had trouble fixing her schedules when she decided to move to LA. Finding Moving Company Los Angeles was pretty hard; and she needed to lift a couple of furniture pieces also. With her frail built I had to help her out at that time.

It was my "Finals" week too so I had problems delegating myself to the task. Mom suggested us to call a toll free number 1-800-431-3920 to get a moving quote and see if they can do the job. Moving Companies Los Angeles was there on time and moved her things in a short span of 5 hours when it could have taken me a week. It was well worth it and I did not even have to lift a finger before my exams. My Aunt was glad too that she met these wonderful people from reputable Los Angeles Moving Companies. I on the other hand felt glad they were so polite and did the job efficiently. They loaded everything in the truck and went on their way to LOS ANGELES without any hitches. Everything went in smooth, nothing got damaged and everyone had a cold pitcher of lemonade after wards. I was so glad they came along when I needed them most.

The Avant Garde Wedding Photoshoot Video

As if I was never tired of writing about it, here is another thing that I made for the models and my colleagues at NOCTURNALS. These are the shots I compiled to simply thank them and have a memory of this event that happened in Barabara's Orchidarium Manila. That quaint little hidden place at the side of Luneta Park. They have short courses with Chinese Restaurant flare that appealed to mostly families and patrons from nearby residents. It was nice and tasty and never overcooked which surprised me. I am a foodie too so quality was very important to me. The pansit merienda though did not impress me. I wonder what happened to steak when I wanted to have that on the same day. If the served that and seared it right the day would have been all perfect.

Anyway enough about food because I am on a diet again! Hahaha... been having problems taking time to go to gym and gained a lot of weight over the holidays. I just hope I do not go over what I expect to be an appalling state. Geeze where are those diet pills when you need them huh?! LOL

I hope you enjoy the video I made even if this post is not that much about the photoshoot, I was just practicing how to embed videos from facebook to my blog. =)

Just enjoy the show!

The Good News: $8,000 Tax Credit

It looks like the economic turmoil in the US is ending and there is great news that a huge relief for first time home buyers and people who have owned their first residence in 5 years. The federal government is giving them a break from the stress this crunch has brought in the past year. I have learned today that income tax will be credited to them which could reach as high as $8,000.00. That is like hitting the jackpot and deserving what you have worked for. Imagine you would benefit from the taxes you paid for from the time you started your careers. The $8,000 Tax Credit is not a joke and can alleviate people who are still recovering and getting more burdens from the situation brought about by failing companies and ailing market forces. There are a lot of people who lost their jobs, got a new one and then got back on track so this is going to be a better alternative for them than purchasing a home which they could not afford. I really like the fact that they even give out around $ 6,500.00 tax credit to people who have lived 5 years consecutively in their first home from the last 8 years. This is a very big help for families who just started.

It has already been extended by the federal government and expanded at the very least; so the right move in this case to take advantage of the opportunity to get the huge tax credit they offer so you could purchase the home you need. It is plain and simple. If I were you guys I would seize the opportunity!

Maybe a Prayer Would Do

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

I have a friend and colleague that I recommended to work. I hope he performs quite well tomorrow when he tries it out for an interview. The post is in operations so there is kind of a prejudice in making it since he has experience from other call centers already, which he probably passed with flying colors. I know he can do it since he kind of was not just average but near great when we were in high school, yes ladies and germs he was my classmate then.

Surprise surprise it seems that I am getting still connected to these guys even if I kinda shyed away a few months or years ago, I don't know why but it is the right thing to do. I hope to still reconnect and fix things with them but not that much. Well you still hope for the best really in this day and age. I want to be as civil as I want to and yes I still love those guys even if I felt offended once, I probably just do not know what to do now.

I am just hoping for the best and expect nothing in return, at least I am helping them already which is the first thing that went on my mind when I started all of these things. Let everything fall into place please! Thank you God!
