It is this coming Sunday and Filipinos have been awaiting this fight of the pound for pound champion. March 13 is surely going to be a public holiday in the Philippines and crime rate will again be at an all time low. It is a phenomenon that this actually happens because apparently even the hooligans are watching the fight. It is good though at least law enforcers can take a break.

People are also eagerly awaiting the next one since after this, he is surely going to gun for a Mayweather fight but that guy has been eluding this fight and throwing lame excuses so it would not happen. He wants Pacquiao to undergo blood tests and drug tests a day before the fight which would probably get him out of condition. He has been tested lately just to prove a point and tested negative, I wonder how that crazed man get these ideas LOL!

He will eat his words soon I'm sure and unless he gets knocked out and kept quiet by Pacquiao he won't stop throwing words at him. Pretty lame for an undefeated fighter to go this low. I wish Manny Pacquiao the best and thanks for making the whole country proud of you!

Victims of Bankrupt Companies

There have been reports that local business owners have been fooled by unscrupulous individuals in Manila to purchase kiosks and franchises from bankrupt corporations. This week alone I have seen two women who were duped into selling their own land so that they could invest their hard earned money into a non existed defunct company. There are no current centralized records listed in city hall or the SEC to prove they are otherwise. Cases of large scale ESTAFA were only filed and this is unfortunately; an offense where they can post bail. I wish the business organizations file complaints in city hall so that they would have better systems put up for potential investors. If they manage to at least have something like the california bankruptcy records in the Philippines; then we would not have this problem. On line search would take a few seconds to check a listed corporation and it would deter these occurrences if the government really pushes for great reforms in the system.

I once also planned to invest in the food business which would go this route and thankfully I have done my research first. Seeing these cases become rampant in the past few months really got me worried and think about investing elsewhere than Manila. I have also listened to the victim's testimonials when they went to the police and these smooth talkers unfortunately get out of jail after a few days. I am so worried and appalled that the Philippine government does not take steps into modernizing or acquiring help of the experts who can make these records publicly accessible and properly updated. Without the initiatives of a great leader we might be just on the verge of looking at our bleak future. I hope real change happens immediately because there would be hundreds or even more that would suffer from these unscrupulous individuals. I would never want to be a victim and I reserve the right to know! Why don't they just tell me if they are bankrupt so I would not have to engage business with them anymore?!

Sad Day

It is quite a sad day for me. I just got home from a wake of a new friend I just met. I remember the time we drank a couple of rounds of beer. The time that he asked me for advice. The times when we laughed a couple of times because of stories from our common friends. I could have gained another friend but I was shock to hear he died 2 days ago. He was hit by a blunt object on his head while on a drinking spree outside their house in Valenzuela. I wonder what could have been if we talked more since then. Well he already passed on. I hope the perpetrators would be caught by police and suffer the consequences of their actions.

I pray that his soul rest in peace. I hope all our other friends and his family find comfort in the Lord. With all the things that happened to them and the sufferings he had encountered when he lived alone, I hope that would all go away and be replenished by everything good GOD has to offer. I am not much of a prayerful person but for him I would. He deserves it and I wish his siblings be safe. Blessed be.

Know Your Rights!

I am really not new to forums. I have actually administered 4 forums in my lifetime and they go about subjects for school, sports, general information and technology. I have actually toned down in the recent years. I got as high as 6 communities which on some instances already battled with my time with work. I had to prioritize that but I never got them removed from my system because I like the feeling of belonging to a community. I specifically like the consumer forum since I get to communicate with the users directly. It is the ability to help people who purchase their everyday stuff that gets me to visit their forum. One example of this is the Consumer Court Forum (India). Even if I am a starting member in this community I know how it already works. Have you ever bought stuff from businesses that you later find out to be defective?! How about properties that promise SHANGRILA but you end up in the middle of nowhere?! Those are the things we should avoid when buying products or services and I would not be surprised if one day we become victims of unscrupulous individuals.

What is this forum all about?! Why protect the consumers?! It is all about users helping other users on their dilemma. Protecting the consumers from large corporations and entities is one way of helping each other. If you are alone and battle it out with companies that are funded with millions of dollars you would never win any court case. If you voice out your opinions on these free boards from the Consumer Court Forum and if there are people around the world who have the same problem with the product and service that you got, then you are going to be able to communicate together your concern. It is a fact that there is unspoken power in numbers. This is new media and there are thousands of people who view these pages every day. I know how the metrics run in communities like them and it is very powerful to get your point across. Enjoining other users to report problems so the companies could act on it is one way of also helping yourself. Make sure you join this forum and protect your rights and your family.
