I did a couple of layouts earlier and it seems that I have succeeded in a few but the others were just plain Jane. I specifically love the one with the COOL blue palette and this guy in shades. This shot above also was kinda neat because it feels like he almost popped up from the picture. I got the walls repainted painstakingly because I was not happy with the way it looked initially and since it had chips and uneven colors on it I got the clone option and dredged it until it looked natural. Aside from that, I also took the color balance and maxxed out reds and yellows and darkened some spots here and there to give it a more believable ambiance. The contrast on the shirt was done so the blackness would become deeper and I think we succeeded in doing that. A little directional light was rendered so it would have that slight black shadow on the sides aka vignette. Pretty neat actually.
I want the skins to be white and on some instances I get a little OC'd when it is not smooth. So I did a couple of things to cure the uneven colors on the skin. It may appear over exposed but it is actually not because the guy's skin tone was really pale white. He even has color on this one so give me a break LOL. Some of them like it and some of them don't but its okay I was just experimenting anyway. What matters most is that I achieve some sort of shangrila when I look at it. At least I am not just shooting plain photos like the rest of them right?! My mantra is to be like Xander Angeles and experience more layouts so I am trying it out now. =)
Quest for the Best Web Host
This site of mine has already been up for about a little over 4 years. I did have some problems since this is probably hosted on a shared server. My guess is that my host probably had this account on a huge one together with other sites so he can get the prices down. Unfortunately it doesn't really come that cheap. The problem with that is; if one of us suddenly violates the laws governing the CYBERWORLD and gets taken down... the whole line also loses their domain. In this day and age a downtime would mean thousands of dollars to ordinary NETIZENS like me. What if I already own a small office/home office business and used this kind of service?! That would be just disastrous to even think about. Getting a dedicated web hosting is tantamount to the success of any business. I should get one for mine soon!
This lease on the domain which I have will expire around August and that is quite near. I have to make sure moving files, photos and stories would be accomplished before we lose important data. I can imagine the time that it would take because I have about a thousand posts already. Aside from that, I want to make all the photos crawled on a single server and with those high resolution copies it would probably take a long time to have them uploaded and hosted via FTP. I want to showcase my photos for prospective clients and since I have a brand running (which is quite popular now on the Internet) I will pursue putting them here along with the other services I plan to market. I have been doing a little video editing on the side for small fashion houses in Manila and this would be appropriate if I got unlimited space. I know this would be kind of abrupt but I have to seize the opportunity and get dedicated webhosting services as soon as possible. With my goal of getting to be a millionaire by the time I am 40, I need every bit of advantage to make that a reality. I would not gamble my life's savings sharing servers with people I don't know. If you were in my place I know you would start striving for success as early as now! This is the start of my quest for the best web host!
Something New
Wednesday, March 17, 2010
I have been blogging for years now and I just came across something new to me in this hobby. A HATER! Yes ladies and germs I don't know where he came from or what part of the world he may have been but he seems to be coming from the Philippines too. I kinda tried to trace his location and he is subscribing to a local ISP. Anyway, I was just a little caught off guard because he mentioned that he hated my site. For one thing, I never really made this site for other people... I made this site for myself so I could share my point of view with the rest of the world. It was not intended for people who have IQ's below 100 and I never forced anyone to read my entries in the first place. I give them the freedom to react within the boundaries of what NORMAL is and if they chose to go over that, it's not my responsibility anymore.
I think I am gaining audience and the thing is, they are in different classes now. I would not want to alienate them at all but please give me the freedom to choose what to write for because this is my site after all. If you are haters, go ahead and read somewhere else... because that is going to be your part of the bargain. You are free to read here but don't try to glorify yourself by badmouthing other people because you think you are all that!
Rant off.
I blog free from inhibitions and I blog about anything under the sun!
Real reviews from real people, you can count on that! =)
I Love Pizza and I Love Bowling!
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Tony's Pizza. All opinions are 100% mine.
Okay I admit I am a Pizza lover and I think I need a break from all that diet. I love the bubbling sight of cheese smothered with another layer of mozzarella and slices of pepperoni. I am a meat lover too so if there are instances to take a break from my diet I make it a point to have the best of both worlds. The pizza in most fast food establishments here delivers 24/7. It costs around 40 dollars and often comes late. When the delivery guy arrives after being late, he even makes the condescending look to force you to give him a large tip. That is if he does not like taking your change with him too. There was a time when the soda that came with our orders spilled all over the pizza (the same delivery guy) which would not make it a pretty sight to see. I saw some stashed Tony's Pizza in the supermarket one day and thought I would give it a try. That was the best decision I ever made in my entire grocery life!
I could just heat it up in the oven or microwave whenever I get the urge to get that perfect bite. I love the thought of sitting down in the couch having a few bottles of beer and a slice of hot crispy crusted pizza. I could probably have it carried out for the boys on Friday bowling night. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Imagine that hot cheese oozing out of the top and the spicy - sweet pepperoni slices that satisfies the inner carnivore in me. Oh how I wish I could have that now! The LYCOPENE content in the tomato sauce also aids in getting us that smooth fair skin we love. With the various spices and special ingredients added in every slice, it's no wonder TONY'S Pizza has been the favorite of Mom, Dad and everyone in the family! They are even throwing in free bowling games with each purchase. I love pizza, I love bowling and I love TONY'S Pizza what more can I ask for!?
