The APPLE IPAD Released!
Wednesday, April 07, 2010
The Apple IPAD just got released a few days ago and boy was there a long line in the US. I never had a gadget from Apple before but I am gunning for this one now. I need to show my photos off to clients and this would be really a great thing to have when the time comes that I already have a number of clients. Some apple accessories are probably going to be available for this gadget and I will get them also to complete my IPAD experience. Steve Jobs is probably also doing the same thing Microsoft is doing in the last few years, slowly releasing new technologies and keeping the profit. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes number one in the FORBES list soon.
Thousands have lined up and in the Philippines there are no specific release dates yet. However upon checking their web site and region... they will all be shipped this March and probably released late April. Well it is already April and I haven't found a single Apple Store in the metro that carries this IPAD. I wonder why?!
Anyway I have to be optimistic. That price of 899 US dollars is not a joke too. The 499 US dollars worth doesn't have 3G capability. I need the one with portable WIFI on it since I need it for on line transactions too. I hope this changes a lot of things in the years to come. I wonder also how that Apple processor performs on this device. I hope it does not end on product recall soon! That would be funny if they get to be in a TOYOTA experience! Ha-ha!
Over a Cup of Chocolate =P~
There is something that I got addicted to all of a sudden. I haven’t been eating dinner for the past few days and just resorted to drinking this. I dunno if it is going to still make me fat ha-ha! But I hope it does get me a little bit smaller when the time comes. I usually prepare it in a mug given to me by my friend Robby. Well actually it is his wife who gave it but the thought counts haha.
Over a cup of chocolate I think I am getting a little better at work. I am getting the hang of it even if we had tons of reports to finish today. It keeps me cool under pressure. It makes every evening a little more fun than usual. I like it and I will probably do this in the next couple of weeks until I get used to the norm and probably look for something different to drink soon.
I probably also stop eating whole carbs. Specially those that I cook at home. Just recently I had this urge for pesto and I cooked the hell out of the pasta at home. I love it a lot! I love the way basil mixes with olive oil and nuts. Maybe its the nutty flavor. I dunno really but it is so addictive that I do not want to eat the regular spaghetti anymore... red or white I hate it more!
I also registered for the Ultimate Taste Test 3.0 event from Sir Anton's blog OurAwesomPlanet.com. I want to be there by hook or by crook! =) Lotsa food to taste in so little time! There goes the diet! LOL

Good Benefits!
My Mom and Dad retired from their jobs a few years ago and we are generally just spending their well deserved rest at home. They are in the same situation though because after they retired from their respective companies Mom and Dad got their lump sum pension. Mom worked in the government for over 25 years and she is a public school teacher. She went up the ranks and eventually became Assistant Principal. After a few years she just got stressed and tired and it was really getting toxic. She was supposed to get her master's degree and get the Principal position on other schools but she begged off because she was already fulfilled and a little tired of work politics. Dad worked in an aviation corporation as an HR Executive and he is in charge of getting people their social security transactions. If something was to take part between the corporation and other institutions like SSS or GSIS he is surely going to be the one to talk to. He did a great job and spent 20 years climbing the ranks and he was well rewarded after 25 years of service. He played basketball for the corporation too and they won a lot of games for them. It brought prestige because my Dad was a former college star player and that is one way of going professional. In its truest sense; they have done a very good job.
They both got the lump sum of their benefits so they do not have to wait and get old before they enjoy the fruit of their labor. At least we get to travel with them now. I love them both!
Jason Ivler now in Quezon City Jail
I know it is kinda odd for me to talk about him today but I kinda felt for the guy. I dunno, when all the world is making fun of him and his Mom I feel that we somehow kinda have something in common. I haven’t gotten into doing ROAD rage yet but boy this morning when I got home drunk, I paused a little bit when I saw him on TV this afternoon. He was sent out of the Quirino Hospital Medical Center and brought to the Quezon City Jail. Some hooligans even applauded when they saw him. Poor guy was in a shirt and shorts ailing because of his gunshots and pulled on a wheelchair. Jason by the way also starred in TGIS a local teen bop show in the early ninety’s… I dunno what happened to him after that but they said he served the US military for a few years. My hunch is he got a little freaked out when sent to Iraq. He said that he couldn’t adjust to the lifestyle in the city jail now if his Mom would always help him. The city jail by the way is very near my place... no I don’t go there but I always pass by that area. When you see the condition of the people there you would definitely be appalled how inhuman it looks like. I know his Mom from gym and I saw her there a couple of days ago. None of the former moms who were always with her before was there after that incident with Jason. I pity her and I kinda am sad about this whole thing happening to their family. Rather than persecuting them like the rest, I felt they were just misunderstood in some way. I hope it doesn’t become as sensationalized as it was a few months before. If they find out that Jason is guilty then go ahead but if not at least give him a fair trial and free him if that is the right thing to do. Although most of you might not agree on me with this I still feel he is innocent. I’m not a judge so I won’t be deciding on that in the next couple of months. I’ll stay tuned for more developments… sorry if I feel like I am going against everyone but hey if that happened to you what would you think other people would look like if they are ridiculing you like that now?
