My Eyes Hurt
Monday, April 12, 2010
I don't know what's wrong with me but this has been bugging me since this morning. I have high blood pressure I guess but this time, my eyes hurt... and it hurts a lot. I have been trying to sleep it off since it maybe that I am just tired but I am not that sleepy anymore so I'm trying to look for things with these symptoms. My doctor named google LOL just told me a lot of things but I probably should visit a real doctor soon.
I didn't know there was high blood pressure in the eyes and most probably I will be able to know what went wrong with mine after I go out of gym tomorrow. I haven't been working out for the longest time. I think it has been about 3 weeks already. I probably am wasting hardearned money on monthly dues but I have to make these things available for me whenever I get the itch to go back and workout again. I just hate it when I can't... because I am either too sleepy or too stressed from work already that I don't have the energy to lift weights or run for a while. The problem is, I even drink beer right after I go out of gym. I even smoke on some instances. I need to go back and do a healthy lifestyle. I am trying you know!
I'll visit the clinic later. Maybe get some sort of first aid on this thing because it still hurts. I hope it is nothing serious. I'll have my blood pressure checked just to make sure. I hope it is not related to my high blood findings last corporate checkup. I mean I am kinda used to them saying that I am. I just don't like them pushing it. =P
Waterproof Manila
Sunday, April 11, 2010
The unstoppable climate change has already ravaged Manila and nearby cities and we all know how it went over the east portion. Floods reaching 10 feet or more suddenly filled up the streets and unfortunately killed hundreds of people. Flood water came from everywhere and posh villages that were once the envy of other people just came out to be filthy and full of mud. It was a very depressing site to see. The hardest thing was I have friends and family in that area. I also had some of my peers from work there too. Their families were all victims too. I hate the fact that there were also kids and grandparents who suffered the same fate as they did. No one was actually spared of the horror where a whole month's worth of rain fell down that area in 2 hours. Flood gates from major dams were also opened without warning people down the line. Ultimately it would have taken them a couple of hours to do it or maybe minutes using public television. Waterproofing Basement Walls was not a usual thing in this part of the world so it was doubly hard to clean houses which had lower floors. Now in this disaster we had to learn a lot about taking care of the environment. I wish there was some way to reverse climate change and I hope it would all be done now.
I am happy though that no one I know was hurt. They might have lost a lot of properties and things but life is important. Above all, I would really like for people to make sure their homes are safe. I want to help them make the effort to have everything protected and get information how to take care of themselves when the next worst thing happens. There are lots of information on the Internet sites like Article Alley and GOOGLE so a mere search would really make a difference. Being informed is the best thing against any calamity. It would save lives more than what we know.
Saw Some Booty Shakin Last Night =)
I just woke up ladies and gentlemen at exactly 2PM Manila time. I went out last night with my co photographers from NOCTURNALS PHOTOGRAPHY. I really had a blast. I had about4 bottles of beer @ MGM Superclub and a couple 4 more with my other friends from an org on another club. I wanted to relax a bit and I think I have really achieved that last night. I want to say thanks to the guys who I went out with last and hope this ain't gonna be over! =)
We went to Manor initially but since there was some details not fixed with the promoters we went ahead and proceeded to MGM. Beer was overflowing and I had the nicest time watching the bootyshakin that was happening at the stage. It was all good.
This is also the first time I got my Flip Video out for testing in a club environment and I guess it performed quite well. I really like the fast recording and movie making that comes with the software. Flip is really one of the greatest things since sliced bread! Now I want to experiment with the rest of the features available on its editing software since it can cut and save files right from the get go. I really like it a lot! I would recommend this for people on the go and who are real true blooded gadget freaks! You will like how small it is but not the preview window because it looks too small on a flip mino. I just like it because it is convenient and because of the superior quality of videos you can make on it. Just take a look at what happened last night. =)

The Perfect Fit

I am so happy I have friends getting engaged. Of course I am one of the few persons they ask about engagement and wedding rings. I guess I have established good taste in this field and I wouldn't want to brag about it but I did a pretty good job in the past. I have quite some knowledge about diamond cuts and how it looks like set on rings. I had some information through wedding sites and magazines how to choose one based on a person's personality. I have been witness to good choices in engagement rings but some of them end up with unattractive ones because they fail to ask people who know how it is. It is something personal but taste is a whole other universe to explain. Asking me would have saved them small ridicules from friends and family. The Internet too has a lot to offer. If they took a peek at RITANI for example, they would have never gotten mistakes about any of their choices. All that is offered there is fashionable and up to date. This in my case is a good place showcasing great taste in engagement/wedding bands/rings... when you need it most.
I would not want to see any of my friends suffering that same fate so I make it a point that I meddle in some way or another in their choices. Other than that, I would take time in pointing them to the right direction so that they know where to look for these things in the first place. I am so happy with our choices for them though because we got this new couple a princess cut for her engagement ring and a marquise cut for the wedding ring. It's the perfect fit!
